"Thank you so much, you know just how much this means to me" I handed my mom a banquet of flowers and kiss her cheeks. Every time I came here, she seems to age a lot, or is it just me who would not visit her?

It is not like I have an option.

She stares on the floor before her eyes meet mines, "so, umm." I narrowed my eyes at her before she speaks up her though "how's school?" she sounds firm this time while I on the hand trying my best to suppress a smirk.

How funny indeed.

"It's fine besides I have been working a lot" I drink some cocktail and smile at her who has a look of guilty. "So, where's dad?"

"He is in the room"

"Mom" I deepen my tone while she glances elsewhere. "He's going out but he will come home soon." She sounds so confident that I don't have the heart to break her. "You know how I plan this, I just want to meet you" with a teary eye staring at me, how can I just scream at her to let him go?

"Oh look someone just called for me" she parted way with me and rush to her friend. Soon, my sister Everly came at me and both of us stare at our mother with a bitter expression.

"She just madly in love" Everly speak up. "He rushes out this morning with our mom money" I stare at her in disbelief.

"Again?"

I munch my food roughly while shaking my head. "Here" I place an envelope in my sister's palm and she looks inside the content. Obviously, I could predict her next action.

"Oh my god, isn't this thrice as much you usually gave us?" I shush her before she glances elsewhere.

"Spend it, with mom."

"But, this is just too much. We can't accept this much of money" she looks at me in doubt.

"Trust me, you and mom need this" she sighs in distress before our mom approaches us. "Jess, can you spend the night here. I made an apple pie which you love the most" I bit my lower lips and stare at my sister's face.

"Yeah. I mean, alright."

"Cool! We can talk about the...." Everly's voice becomes faint as I was so lost in thought. This house leaves so many memories. Either bad and good, it sums up everything and I hate to be here.

The day ended, and we clean up the mess leaves by our guest. It was not that wreck since it is not a typical college party where we have to clean a puke instead of a spilled drink. I was grateful for that, and my mom seems to be happy even though her husband was not by her side.

"Do you need anything else?" I glance at my mom and shake my head. She was about to say something but held it in and smile at me. Soon, I walk downstairs where I found my mom staring out of the window. Her expressionless emotion showed through the window and flinch when she spotted me at the end of the stair.

"God, you surprise me"

"I'm sorry" I take a seat beside her and follow her lead. Both of us seem wanting to say something but neither of us spoke anything until we a big thunder flash on our sigh startling us both. We stare into each other face for a second and burst out laughing.

I don't even know why I am laughing but everything is just so laughable right now.

......

"What are you thinking about?" Nick, mi amigos said while he sits next to me.

"Something" I reply while munching a flamin hot Cheetos. I can deal with something spicy and I could say it is one of my charms.

"Hey, Jess" Andrew suddenly came in the picture with his sling bag and a big sweat forming on his face. He wipes his sweat while the rest of us stare at him like a fish, I swear a guy can turn gay for him.

Man, how the hell can someone change so much?

"hey" I greet and my friend, Sophia hit me countless times to gain my attention.

"Who is he? And how in the fucking hell do you know him?" she whispers at me and takes a peek at him once in a while. I drop my Cheetos and get up from my chair.

"Meet Andrew, my old friend from Minnesota." I smile at him and to the rest of my friend "You can't believe me how I manage to somehow score a point with him from back then so I decided to keep it for myself"

"What the hell?" Sophia muttered and Andrew finally relaxes himself to hang out with the rest of my friend.

"Can we go shopping after this? I was quite distressed when I spot my friend here." She slings her arm around my shoulder and smiles at me "lack the definition of being a feminine despite her gorgeous figure. Aren't I just darn generous?" She exclaims.

"No, you just being annoying," I said while removing her hand.

"Hi, guys" A girly voice suddenly interrupted our though as the rest of us stares at her in sync. "Our club decided to hold a festival this end month and you all invited. Make sure to come" She smiles sweetly at us and stop her eyes at Andrew.

She pushes herself between me and Andrew and grabs the collar of Andrew's shirt making his eyes widen in shock. "Are you new here?" she asked while biting her lower lips. "I don't recognize you"

Andrew just watches her in astonish and answers her question while rubbing his neck and we all could practically see how uncomfortable he's being right now.

"Hey babe," Addison said while slipping his arm around my neck earning a headbutt from me. "What the hell babe!?" he rubs his swollen forehead while I shrug in response.

"Babe?" Andrew's voice broke me from my trance as I stare at him. "I don't know you had a boyfriend" he adds totally ignoring the woman in front of him.

"I don't have a boyfriend" I glare at Addison "and why the hell do you call me babe?"

"It's just a joke besi......" Andrew's voice was cut off by my scream because the bitch just stomps on my feet using her high heels. I grab her hair making her head backward "what the hell was that for" I spat furiously at her.

I ain't no gentleman here. You mess with me, you just have to get what you deserved.

She was struggling on my hold and was about to grab my hair but I push her away making her fall flat on the floor earning a few laughs from the crowds. Her face turns a dark shade of red, and a tear starts to form on her eyes.

Oh bitch, please.

"Aren't you being too harsh?" Nick said while the rest nod in agreement. "You made a poor girl cry, I was quite disappointed" I stare at them with my mouth open, speechless.

"You should know by now, that your strength exceeds the limits of a normal girl." Sophia butt in "you should take it easy" damn, she was right. I sigh in distress and stare at the girl on the floor. I could not believe she was still here.

She should bail her eyes out and be gone from the moment people laugh at her.

Andrew takes this chance to hold his hands out to the girl and she did not waste a single second to grab his hand. A tear runs through her cheeks as I rub something at the back of my neck.

Well, it is not my fault she just stomps on my feet. It is an act of impulses to react that way and maybe I was in the wrong to kind of push her harshly.

I don't know anymore.

"You should apologize"

What?

All of my friends stare at me including Andrew, intending to hear an apology come out from my mouth.

How wrong were they?

"I'm not going to apologizes. Well, I do admit I was kind of harsh but..." I stare at them who had a disapproving look "why the fucking hell am I explaining this shit anyway?" I grab all of my stuff and stare at the girl who clings at Andrew's arm like a sloth.

Who the hell is she anyway?
