"Mom! Can you help me adjust the kimono shirt please?" I called my mom desperately.

"Coming!" my mom rushed to my room, "Where are you getting the idea of this anyway? It looks complicated."

"It's from Inception! The one Ken Watanabe wore?" I said to her, "I thought you and papa would like me to somehow include our culture..."

"He definitely does, honey. Seeing him buying you this expensive silk material," my mom replied while helping me fasten the obi belt.

"See? It looks good, right?" I asked while putting on the platinum blue suit jacket, the only thing which deviates from the original design.

"Yeah, you look great!" my mom acknowledged, "When will Peter arrive?"

"He'll be here at six," I informed her.

"It's five past fifteen already, finish up quickly, Aoi-chan."

I styled my hair a little differently today, with a slicked back side and comma-shaped bangs. I modified the suit myself. I wanted to look unique for my first ball with Peter. The Winter Ball was kinda important-ish since it replaced the homecoming dance which the school decided to skip this year for an unknown reason, most probably because of the quarter exam. Speaking of exams, I managed to do this year's midterm better than the quarter. Not having a relationship problem does help after all.
I went downstairs to wait for Peter. My dad had come yesterday and was more excited than me.

"Aoi-chan! You look really cool," he said while taking some pictures with his phone, "I approve of this. I'm glad you incorporate our culture in this, son."

"See mom? Papa said it looks cool!" I teased my mom.

"What? Didn't I told you, you look great?" my mom complained.

Suddenly the doorbell rang. A sign which meant Peter has arrived. My dad opened the door this time, which caught Peter off-guard.

"G-good evening, Mr. Ueno," he nervously greeted.

"Oh, hello Peter," my dad smiled, "Come in for a minute, boy."

"Y-yes, sir."

My dad ushered him in. He gestured a hello to Aunt May who took Peter here. I was guessing my parents and Aunt May had become friends since they visited Peter in the hospital.

"Yabai! You look so handsome, Peter!" my mom praised him.

"Ah... Thank you, Mrs. Ueno," Peter scratched the back of his head.

He did look very handsome. He wore a royal blue suit jacket with a black lapel and a black bow tie. His hair was all gelled. He unusually wore a pair of glasses, which looked like the one Tony frequently uses.

"Hi, Aoi!" he grinned, "You ready to go? You look marvelous by the way."

"Thanks... well, not as perfect as you anyway," I said blushed after the praise.

"You made the suit by yourself?" he pointed at my kimono-suit.

"I just modified it a bit..."

"Isn't this from the movie Inception?"

"Yep. I'm trying to impress you by referencing a movie, you know?"

"Mission succeeds," Peter praised, "Now I kinda want to wear your suit instead."

"Kids, let's pose for a photo!" my dad told us to stand in front of the same painting used as the background of our first date picture.

I didn't complain this time since I wanted to keep the picture myself. My dad excitedly directed the poses, one of those was the back hug and a piggyback, the latter I complained but did anyway since Peter apparently wanted to do it. My dad insisted to take us to school, to not ruin our outfit according to him. I swear he was getting into this more than the both of us. As we were getting off the car, I told him I'll go back to the dorm right after this. He didn't question it at all and trusted Peter fully. After we arrived, we put our coats at the coat check counter. We then proceeded to the hall. The decorations looked like it was professionally made. The school gave us a much bigger budget to try to appease us for the lack of a homecoming dance.
