Chapter 38

Sams POV

I wake up extremely uncomfortable because Emma isn't in my arms. I look at the clock and it reads 8:24. I head downstairs and see Emma making pancakes and humming to the tune of her favorite song, 'thinking out loud' by Ed Sheeran. Her hair is up in a messy bun, exposing her tiny butterfly tattoo on the back of her neck...and a hickey, but that's a totally different story if ya know what I mean. She continues to hum out the tune to the song, she looks so god damn beautiful. Emma never fails to amaze me, even if it's just the simplest things.

I walk up behind her and wrap my arms her waist, placing soft kisses on her neck. "I love you" I mumble

"I love you too Samuel and how sexy you look with no shirt on" she smirks and I laugh

"I'm so lucky" I mumble

"We're so lucky" Emma says "want some pancakes?" She asks and I nod

Emma's POV

We were sitting making small talk while eating the pancakes I made. My phone started ringing and I saw that it was my aunt tori

"I gotta take this" I said getting up from the table and placing a kiss on Sam's cheek.

"Hey aunt tori!" I say

"Hey, I heard you're back in Omaha" she says

"Yup! Sam and I" I say

"Could you watch Sophie for awhile, I have a super important work meeting that I cannot miss" she says, slightly panicking

"Of course! That would be no problem" I say nicely

"Thank you so much Emma, you're a life saver" she says in relief

"You're welcome, see you in a few" I say and she hangs up

"I hope you're okay with babysitting Sophie today" I say, sitting back at the table

"Yeah that sounds great, she's a lil cutie" he says smiling. Sam has always loved kids, he's a natural with kids. I head upstairs and slipped on a maroon sweatshirt and some grey sweatpants. I then heard the doorbell ring and headed downstairs

"Hey!" I say opening up the door

"Hey Emma, again thank you guys so much for taking her" she says

"It's our pleasure" I say smiling

"Mommy has to go to work, Sammy and Emma are going to watch you for a little" she says to Sophie

"Yayyy!!" Sophie says clapping her hands, gosh she's adorable

"Okay, I'll be here by 6" she says handing me a bag of Sophie's stuff

"Bye! Good luck with your meeting" I say closing the door

"I haven't seen you in sooo long" she says

"I know right! I live across the country now" I say to her, bending down to be at the same level as her

"I missed you" she says in an adorable voice, giving me a hug

"Aww Sophie I missed you too" I say smiling at her

"Sammy!" She says pointing to him then running over to where he was

"Hey cutie" He says scooping her into his arms

"Hey Sammy!" She says "do you remember me?"

"How could I forget?" He asks her and she smiles

"Do you still kiss Emma?" She asks with a disgusted face and Sam and I laugh

"Yeah I do, and she's really good at it" he whispers

"Sam!" I yell

"Honey, I'm just stating facts here" he says

"Grossss" she says hoping out of Sam's arms

"Guess what!" She yells

"What?!" We both say

"It was just my birthday last moth and I turned 5!" She says holding up 5 fingers

"Wow! You're so grown up!" Sam says to her

"I know right, I'm a lady now" she says and we laugh. Kids say the funniest things

"You sure are!" I say

"Do you have a baby in there?" She asks putting a hand on my stomach

"Nope! No baby in here" I say "maybe one day" I say and Sam smiles at me

"What do you want to do Sophie?" Sam asks

"We should play princesses!" She exclaims

"Who's this cutie?" Kaitlyn asks. Kaitlyn and johnson both decided to come over since they were bored

"Did y'all have a kid with out telling us?" Johnson jokes

"Haha very funny, this is my cousin Sophie

"Do you guys kiss too?" She asks again

"Yeah, we do..a lot" johnson says smirking at kaitlyn and she laughs

"There is way too much kissing here!" She says throwing up her arms.

After many games of princesses, my aunt came and picked up Sophie. Sam playing with Sophie is literally the cutest thing I've ever seen. By then it was late so we both decided to go to bed

"You're going to be a great father one day" I say smiling

"Only if you're the mother" he says

"I'll think about it" I say jokingly

"Shut up!" Sam says, placing a kiss on my lips

"Do you think we'll have a family one day?" I ask

"All I know, is that it would be a privilege to have kids with you" he says

" I think, in 10 years we're going to be living in a huge house in a suburb of California with 3 kids" I say

"Sounds like a plan" he says, I place a kiss on his lips before he pulls me close to him and we each fall into a deep sleep
