Chapter 3

If it's one thing I hate, it's 'back to school' day. My alarm went off and I groaned and turned it into snooze mood. But my mum was just another alarm clock. Except that she's unsnooze-able. "Ashley! You're gonna be late for school!" She yelled. I mentally rolled my eyes. I got up and checked in the mirror, I gasped. I had such a bad case of bad bed hair! I ran to the bathroom and combed my hair, thank god it wasn't that 'serious'. I had a quick shower and changed into a graphic tee which hung loosely on one shoulder, a pair of denim jeans and my white hightop converse then I plaited my hair into a sideway braid and left it on my bare shoulder. I applied a little bit of make up and did a twirl in the mirror. I had to admit that I actually looked pretty good. I grabbed my bag and made a dash for the kitchen. After kissing my mother goodbye, I grabbed a granola bar and got into the car. "Sorry guys, we can go now," I apologised. I rode shotgun since I was the last to arrive. Brad was driving and Hailey sat at the back. I played with my fingers and started to get nervous. "Getting nervous, Ash?" Brad asked. I turned and saw him looking at me. I nodded and looked back at my fingers. "Don't worry, you'll have us and don't forget Jess and Jay. You won't be lonely, trust me. Cuz when you have a hot brother, you'll have his genes," Brad chuckled at the last part. I turned to look at Hailey and we both rolled our eyes but laughed. When we reached, Hailey got off first cuz she needed to do something and meet up with her cheerleading squad. After she left, I gave Brad a quick kiss on the cheek. He have me a weird and confused look, I rolled my eyes and whispered "thank you" and I got out of the car. Brad walked over and kissed me on the cheek and whispered "you're welcome". He wrapped an arm around my shoulder and walked me into school.
