Ashley's POV
I knocked on his door. No reply. I knocked even louder, still no reply. "BRADLEY WILLIAMS, OPEN UP!" I yelled. He opened the door,"my god, my precious ears," he dramatically rubbed his ears. I rolled my eyes, "what the hell are you still doing here?" He shrugged.
"Well if you aren't going down, ill finish your breakfast," I smirked. "What's for breakfast?"
"Bacon." I said it slowly wit amusement in my voice. He sped down the stairs and screamed, "BACON!!!" I laughed. I jogged down and finished my breakfast. Honestly, I couldn't wait to go to school. Most probably because of Jayden...
"C'mon Ash, stop dreaming, lets go!" Brad said, grabbing his backpack and car keys. I rode shotgun and Hailey rode in the backseat. "Hailey, I used some of your makeup just now, sorry," I apologised. "What? Why?" She poked her head between me and Brad. "Well, you can ask that loving brother of ours," note my sarcasm. He rolled his eyes and Hailey hit him. "Hey, woman I'm driving here!" He yelled. I laughed. "Mum had a pretty difficult time bringing the three of us up when we were little," I chuckled. "Yea, if we're so hard to handle now... oh god... I was pretty sure she had to get our curtains fixed ever week!" Hailey added, causing me and Brad to laugh. "Oh god, we should hug her later and tell her how much we love her!" I snickered. "Not before she gets a heart attack!" Brad's joke caused us all to laugh. "I feel bad talking about mum like this you know, i mean three kids is really hard. Especially since she's a single parent..." I bit my lip. "Yea... We can't really blame it on dad either, I mean it wasn't his fault that he um you know... died," Hailey sniffed. My dad died in a car accident when I was 5. Wow, I hadn't had a dad in like 11 years. It was the biggest blow to Brad since they used to spend so much time together. Playing football, frisbee, running, camping, all the father and son stuff. The day we heard about our father's accident, we cried our hearts out. He was the greatest man I've ever known. Brad wouldn't do anything but just lie in his bed for a whole week until he ended up in the hospital for starvation and malnutrition. Hailey and I cried every night, dad always read us a bedtime story before we slept but the room felt so empty. It was as if the house missed something. It kept raining for those few weeks and I felt as if dad was there, watching us, crying with us. My mother did everything she could to provide for the family. Thank god dad had savings and his side of the family provided us some money every month. Which reminds me that my cousins were coming over tonight for a sleepover. Well, since we entered the same school it didn't really matter where we stayed. "Oh yea," I said, breaking the silent moment where we all thought about our father. "Stacy and Alex are coming over tonight."
Hailey smiled, she simply adored Stacy. They both loved makeup, fashion and boys. Typical girl stuff. I was close to her too, she was really nice, not the bitchy kind of girl. Brad was closer to Alex, they liked the same things too. Football, beer, parties, girls, video games. Typical. I was close to Alex too, we played video games and did sports together all the time. They were the best cousins anyone could have. I smiled at the thought of then coming over, I couldn't wait!
Brad parked the car and we got out. The three of us walked into school together. "Hailey! Ashley! Bradley!" We heard Alex shouting. "ALEX!" I squealed, I ran into his arms.
"Oh my god, I missed you so much!" I mumbled into his chest. He was 17 but he was almost as tall as Brad, which was very tall by the way. "I missed you too, Ash." I pulled away from the hug and gave him a bro fist. "Ashley! It's been so long!" I turned and saw Stacy. "Stace!" I ran up to hug her. "Damn girl, I swear you get prettier each time I see you," I blushed at her words. "I swear if I were a boy, I would date you," she laughed. Then we started singing Beyoncé's song, 'If I were a boy'. People started looking at us but we don't care. The bell rung and we headed to our classes. I was in the same class as Jess but funny thing was, I haven't seen her since I got here...
