"An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind. We aren't going to blind your eyes, but something far, far worse. Your judgment, Stone." The message reads in Spanish. "Ah fuck. Harry! We got a situation!" I say through my radio and run out of the building. "What is it, Stone? I saw you leave in quite a hurry." Harry responds. "Look at my station, I left the document up. Read what it says." I tell him. "Ojo por ojo solo termina haciendo que todo el mundo sea ciego. No vamos a cegarte los ojos, sino algo mucho, mucho peor. Tu juicio, Stone." He reads. "That's Spanish. Now, translate it to English." I say. He does so and freaks out. "Oh shit. I see why you're running now and to where. I'll notify the others." He says. "No need, I can handle this," I say. I bust through my front door and Ace hands me a pistol. This isn't any regular pistol, though. This one was passed through generations and generations of people. This pistol is The Ace of Spades. I got it from Cayde, a buddy of mine who died from getting shot by it. I took it back from the guy who killed Cayde and shot him with it. Now I gave it to Ace, who uses it from time to time. I take it in my hands and look throughout the house. Mira seems to be sleeping. I finish the sweep of the first floor, and it's clear. I check upstairs next. I look in the bathroom. Nobody, but an open window. I check Jack's room next. He's out with Jade and Ryan right now, so it'll be fine. Still nobody, but more open windows. Now I check Mira and I's room. I slowly open the door. I give Shepherd the Ace of Spades and he walks through. I use him to see. "There's four men, ages 25, 24, 37, and 26, from left to right. Heights are 5'7, 5'10, 6'2, 5'6. Do I engage?" Shepherd says. "Not yet. Is Elena in there?" I ask. "Yes, but you're not going to like what's next," Shepherd says. "Just tell me, goddamnit!" I almost yell. "They all have guns, USP45 to be exact, and are aimed at her head. The eldest man has his hand raised, waiting to give the signal to execute. The attachments on the weapons are suppressors and laser sights. What do we do?" Shepherd asks. I sigh and start to panic. This is a lose-lose situation. Either Mira gets killed by the men if I approach them, Shepherd kills them all with fire, accidentally friendly firing Mira, or she gets killed. I decide to text Jack.

Me: Jack, stay away from home for the rest of the day. Idc if you need anything from here, stay away. Tell Delta that "the situation" has popped up. He'll take care of you. Hopefully, we make it out of this alive. If not, your mother and I love you, son.

Jack: Dad, wtf? What's going on?

Me: JUST LISTEN TO MY DIRECTIONS, PLEASE!!!

Jack: Alright dad! I love you both!

I put my phone away. I try to think about the best course of action, but I can't. Shepherd chimes in with an idea. "I can try to burn them." He says. "No, you'll kill Elena. Come back, I think I have an idea." I say. He comes back, gives me the hand cannon and disappears. Ace comes out now. "You have the Thorn?" I ask. He thinks a second and shakes his head. "Shit. Well, plan B: a suppressor?" I ask again. He nods and gives me one that'll fit on the cannon. I attach it and shoot the youngest man in the heart, killing him. I reload. "Alright, Ace, grab Elena and bring her here." He nods and moves in. He tries to pick Mira up, but one of the men notice. "Open fire!" is all I hear. "Fuck!" I yell. I run into the room and kill the men by shooting them in the head. I drop the Ace of Spades and pick up Mira. Ace grabs the cannon and we leave the house. I break the door running out of it, and sprint for the hospital. Mira stirs in my arms. "Jason? What's...happening?" She asks weakly. "Shh. It'll be alright. Just go back to sleep, hon." I say. She falls back asleep at the sound of my voice. All of the operators saw Ace and I running through the common area and are all confused. I break down the doors into the hospital and ask for Gus. He appears and we take Mira to an emergency room.

I set Mira down gently on the bed. Doc and I start operating. "Alright, Shepherd?" I ask. He appears and examines her. "Bullets all along her spine. Being honest, she'll be lucky if she survives the operation. I know a way that I can help, but she'll need to be a Stand user for it to work." He says. I take a shaky breath in and out. "Alright, give me your arrow, Shepherd," I say. He hands it to me. I wake Mira. "What? Where am I?" She asks. "Hey, I'm about to do something that your not gonna like," I tell her. "Wha-" Is all she says before I stab her in the neck with the arrow. "W-w-why? I thought y-y-you loved me?" She says. "I do, Elena. This is for the better." I say as she dies. "What the fuck did you do to her, Jason?" Gustave asks. "Don't worry about it. She should wake up in about 10 seconds, a minute at max." I say. Doc is flustered and trying to pull the arrow out. Shepherd stops him. "If you take it out, she will surely die." He says to Gus. Gus stops and backs away. I'm just standing and tapping my foot. We wait 45 seconds, and her body starts to move again. Doc sighs, and I gasp. Elena sits up and rubs her head. "What happened?" She asks. I walk over to her and Shepherd helps me take the arrow out of her neck. "Ow! That hurt!" She says. Shepherd puts the arrow away. "Alright Elena, you're a Stand user now. I would go through all of the bullshit that others explain, but you may already know it. So, now we need to figure out what your Stand is, but that'll take-" I say, and Mira interrupts me by kissing me. I return the kiss. Doc leaves the room. "Well, that was nice. Now, to figure out your Stand." I say. I call Ace and pull a ten of hearts. I punch a hole through her stomach (Donut Punch!) but repair it immediately.  She gets angry at me and a Stand manifests. "Yes!" I say silently. She tries to attack me, but nothing happens. "Hmm?" I say. After about 5 seconds, I feel the attack. I endure it. "Huh, a Stand that can delay when it's attack hits? I wonder if it can also speed up its attack?" I say. Mira answers my question by throwing five punches, but I feel the force of thirty. "It can't speed it up, but it can amplify the strength. Now, what to name it?" I say to myself. Mira calms down now and lays back down. Shepherd takes the bullets out of her spine and Ace heals her back up. I try to brainstorm a name. "I want to name it Heartache Medication, but I don't know it's abilities past strength," I say. Mira and I thank Doc and walk out. Jack appears and is crying. "Shh, shh. I'm alright, Jack. All thanks to your dad." Mira says to him. I see her Stand appear and it takes his heartstrings out and reads them. Much like Heaven's Door, but for feelings. It restrings them and Jack feels better. "Thanks, Mom. I feel better now." Jack says. "Alright, Its name is Heartache Medication. It's official." I say. Mira walks over to me. "So, I'm a Stand user now? What's my Stand?" She asks. "Your Stand's name is Heartache Medication. Heartache, for short, if you wish. It can delay the impact of its attacks, or it can increase the strength of its attack. It can also rearrange emotions as it did with Jack." I explain. "Well, it seems to be a reflection of me!" Elena says. "That's the point," I say. We walk home. On our walk, I see Delta. He gives me a signal for if everything's ok. I give him a pose that says yes, and Mira has a Stand. He nods and leaves. Mira, Jack and I get settled back into our house. I clean up the bodies and blood of the dead men, and we all go to sleep after this bizarre day.
