While I did arrange a funeral for Elena, we didn't go through with doing it. We put her body in the morgue for now. I told Doc that there may be a way to resurrect her, even though she probably wouldn't want it. "Why? Why would you do something against her wishes?" Doc asks. "I can't afford to lose another person. I have to do this for myself. All my life, I always was thinking about the other person. But now, I have a debt to pay to myself." I say. I leave the morgue and go out to the helipads. "Stone, what are you doing on the helipads?" Jager asks me. "I have to go to Spain. Care to give me a lift?" I ask him. "Sure, but allow me to get everything ready to do so. You should also get a change of clothes." Jager says to me. I do as he says. I put on a pair of blue jeans, a black shirt, black sneakers, and a Marine Corps green and black jacket. My "Alpha" outfit. After I redress, Jager calls me. "You ready? I got everything ready to go." He says. "Yea, just give me a second to get up there," I say back. He cuts the line and I go up to the helipads. "Damn, that looks badass," Jager says to me as I appear. "Thought about using it as my Elite set," I say. We board the chopper and leave for Spain.
Jager drops me off in an airfield in Madrid. I sigh and go to get a horse. "How much for a horse?" I ask the shopkeeper. "500 Euros. I doubt you have that." The shopkeeper says. "Oh, you do, do you?" I say and pull out 500 Euro. I hand over the money and take a horse. A pure black stallion. "Thank you, sir," I say and ride away. While I ride, I decide to give the horse a name. "Hades," I say. The horse responds. I chuckle and we keep riding. I stop at a geographer's shop. I walk in and see a man about my size, and slightly taller. "Welcome, how are you today?" He says without looking up. "I'm doin alright. How are you?" I say. The man must recognize my voice because he looks up in shock. "May I ask your name?" He asks. "Jason, why?" I ask. "Holy fuck, it's you! Stone, remember me? It's Ryan!" He says. "Hold on, the kid I trained back in the Corps? I have a slight memory of him." I say. Ryan walks out from behind the counter and hugs me. "Never thought I'd see you again." He says. I return the hug, still confused. "Alright, if you're actually Ryan, explain something to me. Why did I call you 'the kid' back in the Corps?" I ask. "It was a reference to The Mandalorian. You knew I was a huge Star Wars fan, so you called me 'the kid' as a reference to the series." He says. "Damn, you're exactly right. It's good to see ya again too, Ryan." I say. "Now, business. I need to find a man, you know the geography of Spain, right?" I ask. "Yea, don't worry about that. You need a map?" He asks. "No, I need you. Come with me, I'll explain as we're going." I say. Ryan goes out the back and gets his horse, a chestnut-colored Clydesdale. "Ready, Hades?" I ask my horse. He neighs and kicks his front legs. I mount up and Ryan pulls up to my side. "Alright, Sandman, ready to go on a mission?" He asks his horse. His horse neighs. "Alright, here we go!" I say, and we dash off. "Do you know where we're going?" Ryan asks me. "No clue. But I may have an idea." I say. I pull out Mira's beret and examine the coordinates on the charm. I show Ryan and he takes the lead. We start to head west, then take a sharp northward turn. We ride for about 3 hours this way. Once we arrive, I tell Ryan to stay out and take care of the horses. I walk up to the house and knock on the door. Mira's mom answers the door. "Mrs. Alvarez, it's been a while, hasn't it?" I say. "Jason! Come in. Is Elena with you?" She asks. "That's the thing I'm here to tell you about," I say. We step inside and sit on the couch.
Mr. Alvarez is inside making food. "Dear! Jason is here!" Mrs. Alvarez says. He comes out of the kitchen and hugs me. "How's my favorite American?" He asks. "I'm alright, Mr. Alvarez. But it's not me I'm here to talk about. It's Elena." I say. He turns to a more serious mood and sits down. "Elena has unfortunately been taken from us. I tried to save her, but I couldn't. Jack was close to saving her, but he failed as well." I explain. Mrs. Alvarez bursts into tears and Mr. Alvarez tenses up. "So, why are you here?" He asks. "I need to know about anyone she may have made an enemy with," I say. He goes into her childhood room and takes out a diary. "This should suffice. I hope you avenge her, Jason." He says. "That's not what I plan on doing. I'm bringing her back to life." I say. "Now, before you say anything, I'm not going to explain anything to you. I don't need more people knowing what I know. I've been through way too many dark places, but because of that, I know a thing or two." I finish speaking and leave the house. I leave them with my personal phone number and Jack's. Ryan mounts his horse and brings me mine. I mount up, and we ride away.
We're in the middle of a desert when night falls. We decide to stop for the night and set up a camp. I use Shepherd to light us a fire. "Wait, you have one of those too?" Ryan asks. He summons his Stand. It looks like a Mandalorian from Star Wars. "Yea, I have two. Ace of Spades and Shepherd of Fire." I say. They appear as I say their names. "Well, my Stand's called The Mandalorian. It's just basically a Mandalorian, but as a Stand." Ryan says. "This is the way." The Mandalorian says. "Well, I think we should get some sleep. Night, Ryan." I say. "Night, Jason," Ryan responds back. We fall asleep under the night sky.
