Centuries have passed since Korra was killed by the Organization called Control. The Organization wiped out all benders and sealed away the spirit of the Avatar in an item, traping the spirit of the avatar in the spirit world. However before Korra died, she used her energy bending on four non-benders and used it to send her bending down the line of descendants, until centuries later four people would awaken, each with their own bending ability. And that time is now. It's time to awaken, Final four.

"Kairi, wake  up!" A voice yelled five feet away from me and cold air nipped at me as my warm winter blanket was pulled off my body. I shivered and hugged onto my pillow, tugging my legs beneath me to try to conserve heat. The person, a woman I noticed, sighed. The voice sounded somewhat famliar, but in my half asleep mind, the voice was owned by only a nuisance.

"Five more minutes." I murmured sleepily.

"Let me rephrase this, get your butt up or i'm eating all of the pancakes." The voice said. My eyes shot open and in a millisecond I was scrambling up off the bed and staggering down the cold, wood hallways to get to the kitchen in enough time.  I stumbled into the counters as I reached over to grab the plate of pancakes, taking two off and putting them on a plate of my own and I drizzled strawberry syrup over the top. Grabbing a fork I sat down at the table triumphantly. I turned to look at my sister, Liana, who had just stomped out of the hallway, looking just as triumphant with a taunting smirk.  I rolled my eyes and took a big bite of the pancakes, savoring the delicious flavor of the strawberry syrup.

"Pig." She scoffed and grabbed a plate of her own and taking a seat opposite of me.

"Whaf?" I asked, looking up from my plate with a mouthful of pancakes. She just shook her head.

"Exactly." She grumbled under her breath and started to eat the pancakes like the perfect lady she pretended to be. I swallowed all of the pancakes in my mouth and gave her a deadpanned stare.

"You're the one who threatened to eat all of the pancakes if I didn't get up." I reminded her.

"Yeah but that was only a threat, I didn't actually mean it." She pointed out and I pouted.

"So I got out of bed for nothing?" I whined and once again she just rolled her eyes.

"Hurry up and eat and then go get ready, it's your  fifteenth birthday and we have stuff planned." She told and I perked up.

"What kind of stuff?" I asked cheerfully.

"It's a surprise, now hurry up!" She said but couldn't keep a bit of a giggle out of her voice, her smile showing through on her cherry red lips. She just motioned to my pancakes and I dug in, finishing up the rest within thirty seconds and then running back down the hallway at full speed and managing to not run into a wall face first as I made an abrupt turn into my room. I pulled open my closet door and shuffled through my clothes, putting on black jeans and a tucked in purple blouse with black leather boots to match and a fluffy white coat.  I turn into the bathroom and brush my teeth and hair, pulling my long stick-straight moonbeam hair into a ponytail for the day. I stared at my appearance in the mirror, feeling a little strange looking into my opal eyes. I shook my head and hurried out of the bathroom and into the living room, where Liana was waiting impatiently.

"Are you finished getting ready, Kai?" She asked. I nodded.

"Let's go, Lia." I taunted. She glowered but didn't say anything, knowing she couldn't bully me on my birthday. Well, not much. As much as I hated the nickname Kai, Liana hated the nickname 'Lia' even more. We walked out of our house and too the awaiting blue 2001 pontiac aztec. We hurried down the snowy roads, beating traffic till we made it too the local figure skating rink. I jumped up and down in excitement. Figure skating had been one of my favorite things when I was younger, even having competed and won some tournaments. I was actually expected by many professionals to someday go to the Olympics or even win the grand prix a couple of times, however that all ended when my parents died a year ago and we pretty much got piled up in debt. My sister being a legal adult at just barely eighteen, got a job. Luckily our parents had paid off the car and the house was owned by family, but everything else she had to do, though I tried to help as much as I could. Sadly, that meant no matter figure skating.
