A Eustace Complaint
Oh wretched mess that I am in
Thanks to those Pevensies,
Who dragged me from my blessed room
Into some boat upon the sea.
And now I am stuck with all them
And they are a rotten bunch!
And I must sit and bear their jokes,
And the disgusting food they served for lunch.
How proud they are of this toy boat,
(It is really nothing more)
Well, their pride will come to a fall
As it always has before.
They have with them a dreadful mouse
Who talks an aweful lot,
I have told them to tie him up
But of course….they did not.
Oh bother there’s the dinner bell
I suppose I should go and dine,
But mark my words I will come back
And finish this little rhyme.
