Prayer of King Peter

Today I face a fearsome foe

One who is much older than I

And I cannot push away

The fear that I may die

For Narnia I go off to fight

Her freedom I do defend

For her loyal, valiant subjects

I will fight to the very end

To You, Aslan, I do pray

Help me through this fight

Help me to be brave

And not give in to fright

Guide my hand, guide my sword

Help me hold my shield

Give me strength as I go

Out into the battlefield

I know You are my only hope

So in You I put my faith

You will give me courage

And help me not to be afraid

I grasp my sword, I take my shield

Soon I will face my foe

I have said this prayer to You

With faith to the battlefield I go
