Todoroki's pov*

Of course you want that Bakugou kid, you've been playing damsel in distress for him haven't you?

You're pathetic. Do you actually believe that ticking bomb cares about you?

Bakugou? He said we were friends and he's been trying to help...

Out of sympathy...and the keyword in that sentence was "trying". You should ask yourself if he actually is helping you.

W...what do you mean?

Seriously do you even have to ask? He took away your blades, he's trying to make you more fat than you already are, and those pills he's disposing of right this second now can you just imagine what your father will do when he finds out.

He...

He'll beat the shit out of you. Not that I care, you deserve every punch you get. Oh, but what about Bakugou? You remember the last person that found out about the abuse, what's to stop something like that from happening again?

Bakugou's different than Aito. I trust him, he wouldn't hurt me like Aito. Right?

You trusted Aito as well and look where that got you. Bakugou won't be any different...

A buzz was heard from my phone beside me. I wiped off the tears currently running down my face only for them to be replaced with new ones so ignoring them I picked up my phone checking the new message.

Father: I've excused you from school tomorrow, I need you back home for something.

He did what? My hands shook as I typed my reply.

Shoto: Why do I need to be home?

Father: We need to talk, after that we'll have some training.

To talk? Had he figured out that Bakugou knew.....wait no that's ridiculous.

Is it though? Your father finds everything out, did you ever check for a bug?

A bug....my eyes widened a bit. Could he have snuck a bug on me or in my bag? I felt my breath speed up and more tears escape from my eyes. That's probably why he wanted to train after talking, to punish me.

The whole room was getting dark and blurry along with a newfound ringing in my ear. The realization that I was having a panic attack only raised my stress. I stood quickly (a little too quickly) having to catch myself before continuing to run to the bathroom.

I looked through all the cabinets and drawers in desperation trying to find any razors that Bakugou had missed. But no luck, I ran out of the bathroom looking through my bag to see if I had any shoved in there but again I was left disappointed.

I fell onto one of the beds backing up against the wall. With no luck I began scratching one of my bandaged arms, the same one I had been cutting earlier.

A mix of the voices and the ringing in my ears filled the room drowning out all other sounds. From across the room I saw the door swing open but my sight was too blurred to see who was standing there. I felt too overwhelmed to even try and comprehend who was running towards me.

My arms were pulled away from me by the blur keeping a firm grip on it as I tried to pull it back. "To....roki calm....own"

I was pulled towards the figure and began rocking back in forth with them. Though it didn't help, I was still focused on getting my arm away from them and the voice in my head was getting loud enough to drown out the ringing, it was constantly pulling at my attention.

Just as I had almost gotten my arm loose a new smell filled my senses. The one from earlier, an oak smell with vanilla accompanying it. The figure in front of me was Bakugou, wasn't it?

Third person*

Bakugou was shocked to see Todoroki in panic for the third time today. He continued rocking him back in forth releasing his comforting alpha scent for the omega.

It pissed Bakugou off seeing him in this kind of emotional state, he was ready to kill the bastard that caused this. Though he couldn't show his anger, for he knew that would only cause more stress for the other boy.

And knowing Bakugou was there managed to silence the voice in Todoroki's head. The ringing went down as well allowing him to hear Bakugou's deep soothing voice.

He snuggled into his chest trying to calm his breathing but as soon as his breath was stable the text from his father popped back into his head sending him spiraling.

"What's wrong?" Bakugou asked a few times though there was no reply.

"Todoroki, I can't help unless I know what's wrong"

Todoroki nodded his head quickly trying to find words "My father... he'll....he's going to...." this is pretty much what he sounded like, despite him going over his words many times before saying them.

He didn't even get the chance to finish before interrupted by a sob, "look at me" Bakugou cupped his face making him look up at him "That douchebag isn't going to touch a hair on you, I'll make damn sure of it"

An unfamiliar feeling washed over Todoroki, a sudden feeling of safety as if he didn't plan on seeing his father the next day and letting him beat the shit out of Shoto. The sides of his lips pulled up a bit as Bakugou wiped the falling tears off of his face "P...promise?" he asked silently in a scratchy voice.

The blonde pulled Todoroki back to himself "Promise." he replied setting his head on top of the multi colored hair. How could he have even replied anything else to that smile, he couldn't even remember a time he saw a real sincere smile from the shorter male.

The two sat in silence, but not uncomfortable silence it was more peaceful than that. Bakugou looked to the other watching as his eyelids would come close to shutting but fling open, this happened multiple times. Todoroki was fighting his sleep with all his might trying to stay away from his nightmare and not wanting to freeze the room once again.

"Don't fight your sleep like that" he heard Bakugou say.

"But..."

"Your nightmares?"

Todoroki nodded his head a few minutes after clutching Bakugou's shirt.

"I'm right here if you have another nightmare, I'll wake you up before it gets bad"

Shoto lifted his head looking up at alpha's face. He could see the concern and sincerity written all over it. Bakugou didn't hold a glare or a snarl but a soft and gentle look, that told Todoroki he was telling the truth. The voice was wrong about him, he couldn't end up like Aito, that's what Todoroki hoped and wished for. He laid his head back down letting his eyes fall "Thank you Bakugou" he whispered softly before drifting asleep.

He had decided he'd let his father be a problem for tomorrow.
