How to survive your first day (at UA) ~part 2

Audrey POV

"I used to wait by the phone line for HOURS waiting for you to call but you never did."
Everyone was staring at me and Neito now.
"I'm just so glad I got to see you again."
I smiled.
Oh god the tears were coming. Oh god.

"Who...are you?"

He doesn't recognise me?
Oh.
He knew me as Austin
Not Aubrey.
Oh.

"It's...it's me Nei."
I hoped the use of my nickname for him would remind that head of his who I am.

"Austin?"

YES
"It's Aubrey now actually." I rubbed my arm.
"Oh Nei, it's me and you and you're finally here. I practiced this in the mirror for years."

"Aubrey...it is really you isn't it?"

"Yes, Nei, yes." The tears were flowing freely now.

"Oh my god."
I stepped forward and caught him in a hug.
All the feelings were overwhelming.

This was my twin.

My brother.

"I love you so much." I whispered.

"I love you too." He whispered back.

After 10 seconds we pulled away and wiped the tears from our eyes.
I nervously laughed and glanced around the room. Everyone was still looking at us.

"So who's this Monoma?" A guy with weird eyelashes asked.

"This is my twin Aust-"

"Aubrey," I cut him off "My name is Aubrey."

"You have a twin sister?!" A girl with red hair asked.

"Yes." He laughed.

"Well I better get back to class." I dusted off my skirt and leggings.

"You're in a class here?" Neito asked.

"Yup. Class 1A baby!" I grinned, hugging him one last time before heading out the door.

"See you at lunch!" He called out to me.

"See ya!"
As I left the room I'm sure there was a flurry of questions directed at Neito.

Ah Nei.

I'm so glad I finally found you again.

Lunch

I walked out of my English class feeling pretty confident.
Thanks to living in England, I speak fluent English and Japanese so class was a breeze.
I saw Nei waiting for me in the hall.
People gave him weird looks, I assume he has a bad reputation.
Once he lets his mouth go it tends to say a lot of things he doesn't mean.

"Hey Nei, wanna go get lunch?"

"Sure thing Aust- I mean Aud. Sorry."

"It's okay. At least you're trying."
I remembered my promise to Izuku
"Uh, Nei?"

"Yeah?"

"I kinda told one of my classmates that I would sit with them at lunch. Do you mind sitting with me."

He sort of huffed and muttered "Class 1A." under his breath.

"Let me guess, you hate the class because you didn't get into it."

"No! Well...maybe. No!"

I laughed "Well you need to stop, I'm in that class now. Okay?"

"I'll try." He huffed.

"Come on." We both grinned at each other and got lunch together.
I spotted Izuku at one side of the cafeteria with glasses and brownie.
I nudged Neito over and we both sat down in sync.

"Uh...Audrey?" Izuku questioned.

"I said I'd answer your questions at lunch didn't I? Shoot."
I looked over at glasses
"Also, sorry about that dick joke earlier. It's what is usually tell my friends when they'd bother me." I smiled at him.

"No problem! I am Tenya Iida." He leaned across the table and shook my hand.

"Okay." I look back up at Izuku. "To answer your question earlier, me and Neito are twins.
We just...haven't seen each other in a while."

I glanced up at Neito who was currently eating his food and staring down in his lap.

"Oh okay, so" he pulled out a notebook "what's your quirk?"

I nearly choked on my food.
"Uhm, my quirk is..." I looked around and spotted Mina.
"Oh look it's Mina! I gotta go! Byeee!"
I grabbed Neito's hand and jogged up to Mina with my food.

"Oh hey Mina. Mind if we sit here? Thanks, great."  I sat down and dragged Nei down with me.
I noticed some other people staring at me from the other side of the table.
"I'm Aubrey, that's Neito but I assume you knew that already."

"What are you doing here Newbie."
I turned and noticed Bakugo glaring at me once again.
"I was invited here-"

"No you weren't-" Neito interrupted

"I WAS INVITED HERE," I continued
"And now I want to know who all of you are.
Starting with you streaky."
I pointed at the yellow-guy with a black streak in his hair

"I'm Kaminari." The guy confusedly answered

"Coolio. Quirk?"

"Electricity."

"Nice. Red-hair?"

"Kirishima, pleased to meet you!"

"Coolio. Quirk?"

"I can harden parts of my body!"

"Nice. Where'd you get that dye job?"

"Oh, uh these guys did it for me."

"Maybe I'll have to call you when I need my next job." I giggled.
"What about blackie?"

"Sero! I can shoot tape out of my elbows."

"Coolio. Mina?"

"Acid!"

"Great! Nice info."

"What's your quirk, Audrey?" Mina asked.

"Yeah! It must be powerful if you're a recommendation student!"

I paused. I didn't want to tell them my quirk.
"Uh, guess." I grinned. Fun.

"Well you froze Bakugo sooo ice?"

"Nope"

"Water?"

"Nope."

"Uhh." Everyone at the table thought about what my quirk could be, except Bakubitch but I think he was curious anyway.
I looked back at Neito, he was glaring at everyone on the table.

"Do you want to go?" I whispered to him.

"Yeah." He whispered back.

"Guys! We're just gonna leave right now! Bub-bye!" I waved to the rest of the group and walked away with Neito to an empty table.
We had a lot to catch up on.

Todoroki POV

I had overheard everything.
What quirk did she have?

It has to be powerful.

She did freeze Bakugo.
But she said it wasn't ice?

What are you hiding Audrey?
Whatever you are...

I will find out.
