How to survive your first day (at UA) ~part 3

Audrey POV

"So what happened after I left?"
We were both on the roof finishing our lunches. It was nice and quiet up here.
Just how we liked it.

"Well, Mum has always been a bit... religious. After you left, she kinda threw herself into Christianity. The house is covered in Jesus statues and pictures." He laughed for a second before his smile disappeared.
"She would make me recite the bible every night and morning. I don't think she ever slept. Dad dying, cheating and then you leaving really hit her hard."
He paused
"And then..."
He started shaking.

"It's okay, you don't have to continue."

"No, it's okay."
He took a shaky breath.
"She found your Social media."

I gasped. Just 3 years ago, Auntie had made me take all of those down. She never explained why.

"She stalked you for months. I tried telling her to not but she didn't listen. Then, she saw the post you made about transitioning.
The post you made about now being a girl."

Oh no.

"From that day on she made me swear that I wouldn't ever choose to be gay."
He started crying.
I wrapped my hands around him.

"Let it all out."

"It's too late. I am gay Audrey. I am."

"That's perfectly fine."

"I know. It just hurts that she will never accept me. It hurts so much."

"It's okay."
I gently rocked him from side to side.

He looked up at me and took deep breaths.
"That's me, what about you?"

"When Auntie and me moved to England, I started developing major depression and anxiety issues. I used to get severe panic attacks when just going outside. But I kind of just tried to ignore my mental illnesses through dance and gymnastics." I smiled sadly.
"Currently I'm still working through my issues but I think I'm getting better."

I looked up from my lap at Neito.
"Guess we're both messed up."

"Yeah."
We both smile at each other.

Next class
(with Aizawa)

"Since I already know what the rest of you can do, just do whatever while Monoma does the quirk assessment test."

I glance up at my name, having been chatting with Mina and not paying any attention.
"Huh?"

"Pay attention Monoma."
He continued talking to the rest of the class.

"Hey, Audrey?" Mina whispered

"Yeah?" I whispered back

"Me and the Bakusquad are hanging out after school, meet us by the gate if you wanna come with."

"Sure thing!" I grinned at her.

"Monoma! What did I say about paying attention?"

"Huh?"

He sighed, grabbed me using his bandage-things and placed me inside of a circle.
"Here," he handed me a ball "Throw this as far as you can using your quirk."

"We're finally going to see her use her quirk!"

"Didn't she already use it in class?"

"It's ice isn't it?"

"Nope. She said it wasn't."

"Well then what is it?"

I glanced around, wondering who's quirk to use.
My eyes found Bakugo's.
Perfect.
I grinned widely at him and winked.
My arm pulled back to throw.

Focus on your sweat.
Explode it.

I released a powerful explosion that launched the ball forwards.

"700.9 meters. Good result."

I gave a thumbs up and a wink to the rest of the class who were freaking out over my result.

"Did you just use my quirk you bitch! I'll pound you into he ground!"
Just as he threw a punch at me, I activated Kirishima's quirk.

Bakugo quickly retracted his hand and growled in pain.

"I wouldn't try that again. I've gotta do the track now babe, see ya."
I giggled and walked off to start the track.

I decided to copy Iida's quirk. It felt like the most useful.
But it was a mutation quirk.

I braced myself and activated it.

Suddenly a harsh stabbing pain erupted in my calves.
I cried out in pain and doubled over, hitting the ground.
Izuku, Iida and Ochako rushed over to help me like the lil' heroes they are.
They helped me up as the pain lessened until it was gone.

"Are you okay?" Ochako asked

"I am now. Thanks guys, in particular, Iida."
I took off running down the track at full speed, using Iida's engines to boost me.

"3.06 seconds. Another good result."

"Did she just use Iida and Bakugo's quirks?"

"Does she just copy people's quirks?"

"That's kinda lame."

I glared at whoever said that.
Turns out it was Bakugo. I think he's just salty that I nearly beat him in the ball throw.

I shot him a cocky smile and moved onto the grip-strength test.

I deactivated Iida's quirk and walked over to Sato.
"Hey, you wouldn't happen to have any sugar on you?"

"Uh, here." He handed me a packet of sugar

"Thanks hun." I smiled
The grip test was a breeze with Sato's sugar rush quirk.

"65kg."

I did average on the sidesteps- mostly because the only useful quirk would be Mineta's and I am NOT going near that creep.

The only other task was the standing long jump where I once again used Bakugo's quirk.
He was pissed but, whatevs.

"Congratulations Monoma, if you were in for the quirk assessment test, you would've placed first."

"HELL YEAH! TAKE THAT SUCKERS!"
I jumped up and down, celebrating my victory.
"Oh and one more thing," I stopped for a second.
"Yes, I can copy other quirks." I grinned.

Bakugo POV

Of course she gets first.
That little bitch
Why does she think that she could beat me?
I could beat her any day.
