How to dance (at UA)

I sprint through the town, heading for a place I hadn't been to in years.

My old dance studio.

I dance whenever I feel depressed, anxious or just bad in general- which happens more often than you might think.

I grab my dance shoes from Maralyn's apartment (my auntie's friend's apartment that we are staying in) and head forward.

I remember the exact way to go.
You'd be surprised how many times I visited.

I arrive at the studio.
And immediately pause.

There's a large metal fence separating the building from the street.
There's some rubble blocking the way to the building- however, the actual studio is still intact.

Thank the lord I took gymnastics.

I use my acrobatic background to nimbly climb over the fence and make my way over the discarded rubble.

When I made it to the door I was surprised to find it unlocked.

Lucky me I guess.
I walk in and switch on the lights.

They don't work.

Because of course they don't.
Ah well.

I place my bag down and put on my ballet shoes, tying the ribbons up my legs.

I didn't have time to change so I'm still in my school uniform, luckily I still have my leggings on.

I take a deep breath and choose a song that I already came up with choreography for.
I like doing that in my spare time.

I finished the dance, beaming with pride.
That was the first time I ever had done that choreography without mistakes.

A movement caught the corner of my eye.
"Uh, hello?" I called out into the shadows.
"If you're a killer, please hurry up- I wanna die."

"Why would you want to die?"

I jumped back as a certain bi-haired boy stepped out of the darkness.
"Jesus! You scared me Shoto!"
