My heavy eye lids reluctantly fluttered open and I closed them again quickly. The bright early morning light flooded the room and I nuzzled the pillow next to me. For a split second, I thought I was back home but then the unwelcoming smell of the trailor reminded me of the horrid place I was stuck in. I groaned into my pilow.
God I never wanted to leave the bed, it has already become my sanctuary.I eventually did because I needed some coffee. I swear if I had a fridge, a coffee maker in my room, I would hardly ever leave it. I carefully opened the door and saw satan in the midst of his beauty sleep. Thank god. I was afraid I had to deal with his bullshit before I even had some coffee. Although, he did look peaceful, with the rays of sunlight gently bouncing off his beautifully sculptured face. His lips were slightly parted and his hair was shining under the morning light. It baffled me how someone as cold as him had the face of an angel.
I tiptoed to the kitchenette and the second I plugged in the coffee maker to the power socket, the king of hell woke up with a startle and within seconds, was on his two feet. I nearly knocked over the coffee pot. Jeez. He stared at me and I stared back. Was that how he usually wakes up? It's like he spazzed himself awake.
"Uh, sorry I didn't mean to wake you up." I barely spoke. My voice was all croaky and hoarse.
"Arden?" He blinked at me and he looked confused for a few seconds, lost even. There was this pained look on his face, it almost seemed like he had a nightmare.
"Leo, are you okay? Do you want some coffee?"
But a few seconds later, the signature cold Leo look appeared. Dammit.
"Im fine." he folded his arms and cleared his throat. "Well look who's finally come out from their hiding place."
He walked towards the kitchenette and leaned against the counter. Ah, I was wondering where that attitude went. He was dressed in a white tank tee and he kept on his suit pants. Just by the sight of him had my heart fluttering and it was starting to get annoying. His extremely beautiful face wasn't going to make up for his shitty, controlling attitude. Although, there was a tiny part of me that wished it had.
I rolled my eyes. "I wasn't hiding, I just needed some space." I mumbled as turned on the coffee maker.
"Oh, it's only the first day sweetheart." He winked. Great, just when I thought I could get past him before coffee...
"Anyway, here." He reached over and grabbed something from the dining table.
My mouth dropped when he placed the familiar rectanglular object in my hands. I couldn't belive what I was seeing. He actually fixed my family photo? I exhaled sharply and my eyes watered as I scanned the frame, realising he literally glued every single glass piece together. Even the tiniest piece. My heart sank at the thought of someone like him caring enough to try to do something right.
"Wow." I breathed. A smile slowly crept up on my face and the next thing I know, I couldn't stop grinning.
I looked up at Leo and I swore I saw him smiling. He was quick to hide it but not quick enough.
"This is amazing thank you."
He turned into the cutest shade of red. "Yeah whatever." he shrugged. "Only took me like 10 minutes no big deal."
"10 minutes my ass." I muttered.
"Excuse me?" he raised his eyebrow at me.
"I said, it's really impressive." I smiled sardonically and carefully placed the frame onto the counter.
He rolled his eyes. "Yeah well anyway, you broke rule number one yesterday."
Ah yes, the golden rules. I groaned loudly and he scowled at me.
