as i said before, surprised was an understatement.
hansol was so surprised that he pushes himself back and falls off the bed, yet again.
as he lies there, shocked by the whole thing, he hears seungkwan laughing at him from back on the bed. as he cracks his eyes open the slightest bit, he see seungkwan peering down at him.
he laughs as he says, "relax, hansol," he starts, "i was just about to ask you where you were. you went to the washroom, right?" he asks, raising a brow.
"yep." nope.
his answer drifts off into the silence, hansol not knowing why he had lied.
they stay like that for a minute, with hansol on the floor and seungkwan peering at him from the edge of the bed.
this silence is slowly broken as seungkwan throws his legs over the edge of the bed and lends out a hand to hansol.
hansol takes it, brows furrowed with suspicion, his eyes telling a different story.
"we might as well stay up. no use in going back to sleep. hungry?" seungkwan says all in one breath as hansol stands up, brushing all of that non-existent dust off of his uniform.
"uhm......sure?" hansol says, giving seungkwan a quizzical look.
seungkwan's face lights up as he jumps off the bed as he says, "i love cooking! do you have any preferences?"
hansol smile sheepishly as he says, "well, i mean, i don't know," he starts to say, then cuts himself off as he sees seungkwan's inquiring look, "i mean....erm....pancakes! pancakes would be nice." he watches as seungkwan's face morphs back into his normal lovely, cheeky grin.
"pancakes it is, then."
.......
incheon, 06:30 AM
"i think we got most of everybody." seokmin says as they overlook the streets from their spot on a high building, watching the traffic build up and disintegrate again.
they had managed to clear out most of everyone in the time span of an hour and a half, which is pretty impressive. mostly, because of soonyoung accidentally speaking a bit too loud about it, and everybody started freaking out and leaving on their own time.
so, they didn't have to move very much, the citizens did it all by themselves, which relieved the group, because they were all tired and wanted to sleep.
of course, that wasn't happening any time soon.
chan, though, had become more worried about the duo on jeju island, fidgeting with his hands and blowing frustrated breaths. where are they? they should be here by now!
the other seemed to be having a good time, i guess you could say.
"chan," soonyoung says from behind him, scaring chan out of his trance, "are you okay?"
chan sighs, "yeah, i'm okay. i'm just worried about seungkwan and hansol."
soonyoung offers his a small smile and wraps an arm around his shoulders. "me too, chan."
"it's not just them, though," chan starts, "it's this whole mission. it feels..... sketchy."
soonyoung stares at him, a silent continue .
"like, why did the doctors have to come? he could've just given us the antidote. and, it was so sudden, like he expected everyone to say yes, before we even agreed. like it was all planned out. doesn't that feel weird?"
soonyoung thinks about this for a second before realizing that it actually sounded accurate. scarily accurate.
"chan, i think you might be onto something." soonyoung said, eyes scanning over the team members, before focusing his attention back on chan.
chan hums in agreement, "i don't know what, and i don't know when, but i have a feeling something bad is gonna happen.
soonyoung stares at the top of chan's head for a minute, then sighs, "i sure we'll be fine chan. don't worry."
"i hope so." chan starts, "i really hope so."
