"so, that's how we ended up here." seungkwan says, sighing.
he turns to his parents, who were both staring at him with their mouths agape.
"what are you going to do now?" his father asked quietly, eyes looking deep in thought.
"well, i don't know!" seungkwan says, rolling his eyes and flailing his arms for dramatic effect.
"are you sure they aren't coming?" seungkwan's dad says, raising an eyebrow.
"if they were, they would've been here hours ago." hansol said with a sigh.
hansol had been awfully quiet, seungkwan noted, throughout his whole speech. his eyes soften as he looks at hansol, trying to convey, are you ok? hansol doesn't look up from his lap, instead fiddling with a loose string, swimming deep in his own thoughts. seungkwan decides not to bother him for now, he'll give him some time to think.
"seungkwan," his dad says as he snaps out of his thoughts, "what are you going to do now?"
seungkwan ponders on this for a while, soon deciding that he didn't actually know the answer. "well, i don't really know," he says. "hansol, do you have any ideas?"
that seems to have snapped hansol out of his own thoughts as he looks up, eyes flashing with concern, then surprise, then back to normal. "uhm....well, not really," hansol says, smiling sheepishly.
"mom, dad?" seungkwan says as he turns to his parents. "well, i was thinking, what if we got you guys a flight to incheon?" his dad suggests, "we could pay for it and have you guys out of here by tomorrow," he says, smiling. seungkwan gasps, "really? that would be amazing!"
seungkwan jumps off the couch, almost tripping on the rug as he jumps up and down like an excited puppy. hansol also joins him in this as they jump in circles in the corner of the living room. the spectators, seungkwan's parents, chuckle lightly as his dad goes to get his computer from another room.
he comes back with a black, sleek laptop, already typing in the password. he sets it down on the glass coffee table for all to see as he hastily types in a web address, prices slowly popping up on the brightly lit screen.
"the earliest for tomorrow is," he pauses as he scrolls down a little ways, eyes squinted, "ten in the morning. would that be good?" they both nod their heads, smiles on their faces.
though seungkwan was a little worried about the prices, his dad told him not to fret, patting his back reassuringly. "how 'bout you guys sleep here for tonight?" his dad suggested. hansol laughed, "i don't think we have a choice."
......
"you're in luck, guys. some of your relatives just left, so we have one spare room left, is that okay?" seungkwan's dad asked as he leads them upstairs, towards the pure white door, opening the door for them.
hansol pokes his head in and looks at the bed, only one. the full sized bed had an array of blue pillows lined up, the pillows complementing the white sheets and comforter. in the left corner, there was light brown desk, with a gold lamp spitting soft light on it. in the right corner, there was a single beige chair and a half with a light blue pillow and a dark blue blanket. "if you guys need anything, don't be afraid to ask." seungkwan's dad says as he leaves and closes the door behind him, the door making a soft clicking sound. they stand in silence for a few moments before seungkwan moves to get on the bed.
"is this good, hansol?" seungkwan asks, sitting cross-legged on the bed.
"yeah." he says, unsure of his answer.
oh my god! hansol thinks, i cannot share a bed with him.
"how about i sleep on the chair?" hansol says nervously, making a move towards the chair.
"why?" seungkwan asks suspiciously, raising an eyebrow.
"just thought you'd want the bed to yourself. that's fine though, i'm just gonna take the chair. so i'm gonna take the chair." hansol says, tripping over words, beads of sweat collecting at his nape.
"okay, are you sure?" seungkwan says slowly, not moving from his place on the bed.
"yeah, totally sure. actually i'm feeling kinda tired now. i think i'm gonna go to sleep, you?" hansol says, picking at his fingers and balancing his weight back and forth on his feet.
"sure, want anything to change into?" seungkwan asks, moving off the bed, returning to his normal cheery self.
"oh, no thanks, i'm good."
"okay, i'm going to go on down to my room to see if i have anything to change into. you can get situated, if you want." seungkwan says.
"okay." hansol says as seungkwan leaves, leaving hansol to panic.
.......
seungkwan surprisingly still has clothes here. he had to dig a little to find something that fit, but he eventually found a plain white shirt and black sweatpants.
he goes back down the hallway and opens the door slowly. the room is now pitch black, so he moves carefully, making sure not to make a sound. he quietly closes the door behind him as he progresses further into the room. even in the dark, he can still make out hansol's small frame in the chair, fast asleep.
he smiles at the sight as he walks over to the bed, taking off a few of the pillows. he's about to get into bed when hansol stirs a little, mumbling incoherent words. seungkwan decides, in that moment, that he's not going to let him sleep like that and wake up sore in the morning.
he walks over to the other side of the bed, pulling back the sheets and duvet. he then walks over to the brown haired boy in the chair, sleeping soundly. seungkwan slowly wraps one arm around hansol's small frame, and another under his legs. he was surprised that, when he picked him up, he was extremely light. he easily walks over to the bed, hansol still sleeping in his arms.
he slowly sets him down on the bed, making sure not to wake him up. hansol shuffles a little, mumbling some more. seungkwan laughs a little at this, pulling up the covers. hansol snuggles into the duvet, pushing his cheek into it.
seungkwan stands there looking at hansol for a moment, before realizing how beautiful hansol really was. and hansol, to say the least, wasn't even trying. with his face pushed into the blankets, lips slightly parted, and his chest slowly rising and falling, he looked breathtaking. seungkwan decided that, in the moment, he needed to do something.
he slowly leans down and places a kiss his temple, soft and light, full of purpose.
seungkwan pulls back and looks at hansol, brushing the hair out of his eyes. he goes around the other side of the bed and lays down, still smiling like an idiot. he turns to his side and sees that hansol has now moved onto his back, his hands resting on his chest. seungkwan flips on his back too, slowly closing his eyes.
let's just say that that night, he fell asleep thinking of one, brown haired, american lover boy.
