International Cricket Council was founded on the 15th of June, 108 years ago, by representatives from England, Australia and South Africa. The ICC is the international governing body of cricket. They were a turning point in the history of cricket, as they allowed for games to be spread worldwide, introducing cricket to countries that hadn't known about it's existence. The Council enabled cricketers to play internationally, and led to the formation of cricket as a profession, allowing many passionate men and women to take part in it and gain money from it. The ICC established cricket as an international sport, and elevated it from a hobby to a profession.
