Dean arrived at Castiel's home, smoothing out his suit before knocking. Castiel opened the door in a hurry with an apron on. Dean chuckled, "Look at you, my dreamboat."

Castiel said quickly and out of breath, "Alfie won't stop crying and I'm trying to cook dinner. He's upstairs, mind calming him?"

Dean walked inside and took off his coat, hat, and blazer. He rolled up his sleeves a little as he ran up the stairs. He slowly opened the door to a crying Alfie. Dean hummed As Time Goes By and picked up Alfie into his arms. He grinned and leaned his head down, blowing on the baby's tummy, creating the raspberry sounds. Alfie giggled and it made Dean smiled even more.

He held Alfie against his chest and hugged him gently. He has never been this happy in years. Dean kissed the top of Alfie's head. He whispered, "Angels are watching over you."

Alfie yawned and curled up against Dean. He fell asleep in an instant as Dean continued humming along to the same old song his mother would sing to him to sleep. Castiel smiled, standing in the doorway. He whispered, "He'll sleep right through now since it's late and he's already eaten dinner."

Dean gently laid Alfie back into his crib, not wanting to set the precious angel down. Dean winded up the music box and left the room with Castiel. Castiel asked quietly as they walked down the hallway and down the stairs, "You're so great with Alfie? But you've never had kids, correct?"

Dean shook his head, "Nope. Never. I guess I've always wanted some though. I like the feeling of holding a life in my arms."

Castiel turned to Dean and kissed his cheek. He whispered, "If it means much, I think you'd make a phenomenal father."

A smile stretched across Dean's face as he froze on the bottom of the staircase and Castiel giggled, walking into his study. Dean blushed hard and followed Castiel. He was looking through his albums of music. Dean picked up the single All This And Heaven Too. He said, "Hey, look, it's our song."

Castiel intertwined his fingers with Dean. He questioned with a smirk playing on his face, "Our song?"

"Yes, numbskull. Our song," Dean joked.

Dean put it on the record player and played it. Dean twirled Castiel into his arms. He spoke, "Don't you remember? It's the song we danced to a few weeks ago on our first day."

They swayed side to side. Dean was light on his feet. He learned how to dance from his mother. Castiel replied, "How could I forget? Best night of my life. I have to say, I'm pretty stuck on you, Dean."

Dean stared into his blue eyes. He spoke quietly, "I've been carrying a torch for you too, Castiel. I didn't think you reciprocated the same feelings."

Castiel closed his eyes and Dean did the same as their lips gently pressed into each other. It reminded Castiel of the earlier events, his bottom lip was still numb from Dean's biting. Castiel slightly pulled away, only an inch. He whispered, "Why did you kiss me so rough earlier? You made my lip bleed and then you sucked on the blood...?"

Dean looked away, "I apologize, I'm not sure what came over me."

Castiel smiled and held Dean's jaw so he was facing him. He said, "I never said I didn't like it. It was just different. What other things do you do like that?"

Dean grinned, "Well, I guess sex is different with me. I'm definitely into anything rough and erotically painful. I believe all pain is purely for pleasure."

Castiel bit his bottom lip flirtatiously, "Oh do you? Hmm."

Dean turned around and walked towards the fireplace that crackled with each flame and spark. He sighed, "But alas, no one ever agrees with my methods. No one ever likes what I like."

Castiel took Dean's hand in his. He voiced, "I might be interested..."

Dean looked in the opposite direction from him, "But we have hardly even known each other, let alone be together romantically."

Castiel disagreed, "I think we are definitely together romantically, very sappy together. Not to mention, life is short and you are a dreamboat."

Dean smirked, "So you'd be willing to have intercourse tonight?"

Castiel took a step closer to him so they were against each other. He corrected, "I'd be willing to have intercourse, right here, right now on the couch in this room."

Dean's eyes widened in surprised and Castiel defended, "It has been awhile..."

Dean discussed, "What about dinner?"

Castiel reached around to Dean's ass and squeezed it tightly. He answered, "I can always reheat it."

Dean really wanted to have sex with Castiel, more than anything, but he held back and shook his head no. He said, "I would love to, I really would, but I want to take things slow with you...I like you a lot and I think there might be a future for us. Maybe you feel the same way?"

Castiel wrapped his arms around Dean's neck and hugged him. He mumbled against Dean's neck, "I do, Dean. I do."

Dean's muscular arms held Castiel's torso and he nuzzled his face into Castiel's neck. He smiled happily, his eyes teared up slightly just thinking about the future and all of the possibilities that filled it's atmosphere.

Castiel let go of him, "Shall we eat?"

Dean tilted his head, "Music?"

Castiel smiled and walked over to the shelf full of music. He grazed his pointer finger along the records. He pulled out one and replaced All This And Heaven Too with it. He said, "Alright, let's eat, green eyes."

The song Green Eyes by Helen O'Connell and Bob Eberly filled the air. Dean smiled and walked into the kitchen. The aroma of the food was delightful. Dean sat at the table and Castiel placed a plate of steak and mashed potatoes in front of him. Dean stared at Castiel in awe. He questioned, "How could you afford this? We're supposed to be rationing for the soldiers?"

Castiel smirked, "I got a friend who works at the market. So, I have my connections."

Dean immediately ate, he hadn't eaten this good in a long time. They both enjoyed their meal with small talk to learn more about each other. They never ran out of things to talk about. The two washed dishes side by side while chatting away, even drank a cup of coffee talking about anything and everything.

They had so many of the same views on certain things. Finally, the time neared two in the morning. Dean said, "Maybe I should go? It's getting late."

Castiel quickly suggested, "You could spend the night!" He coughed, "That is-if you want to?"

Dean smiled, "Well, I don't see why not?"

Dean followed Castiel up the stairs. Castiel rummaged through his dresser for some pajamas for Dean, but Dean took off all of his clothes and folded them onto the bedside table. He slipped into bed, entirely nude. Castiel turned around with the clothing in his hands, but noticed all of Dean's clothing was already off.

Castiel shrugged and put the clothing back into his dresser. He took off his suit and hung it up, leaving only his striped boxers on when he slid into bed. Dean immediately pressed his body against Castiel's back. His arm hung over Castiel's waist. Dean placed a kiss to the spot behind Castiel's ear and whispered, "Goodnight, love."

The two men fell asleep happily with smiles on their faces. Dean held Castiel's body against his, sleeping the whole night through. They slept in content, lost in their own dreams of what is and what could be.
