Blood and Tears

Shen Wei got up and as he laid his eyes on himself in the mirror, he was fully covered in blood. His clothes were stained and his hands were completely covered in dried blood. He looked at his reflection in the mirror and panicked as he fell to his knees and tried to recall what happened but he couldn't remember anything. The last thing he remembered was the time he spent with Yunlan the night before. He got up and when he saw himself again, the sight made him frightened even more to look at himself in the mirror. He first shut the door really hard loudly, which woke Zhao Yunlan up. He heard the bathroom door being locked, he got up calling Shen Wei's name and as he walked over to the door he noticed blood all over the room.

Yunlan started to panic, he was really worried something must've happened to Shen Wei or he might've hurt himself. He began banging on the bathroom door and there was no reply from Shen Wei. He called out his name a couple more times but Shen Wei still didn't answer. Shen Wei stood on the other side of the door crying, as he heard Yunlan's voice he remembered the dream where Zhao Xin Ci died in his arms. "My love please open the door. Is everything alright Xiao Wei?!!" Yunlan asked again but Shen Wei didn't say anything. "I'll break the door if you do-...!" "NO!" Shen Wei interrupted. "Please...N-No Xi...Xiao...Lan please d-don't..."  Shen Wei said to Yunlan in panic-stricken tone.

Yunlan kept on banging on the bathroom door even harder which woke both Yezun and Lin Jing up. They both left their rooms simultaneously and headed towards Shen Wei's room. "Why are you making so much noise so early in the morning?" Yezun said rubbing his eyes before he bumped into Lin Jing who stopped all of a sudden in front of Shen Wei's bedroom door. Yezun noticed the blood on Shen Wei's door knob and badged into Shen Wei's room and saw Yunlan knocking one the bathroom door. "WHERE'S WEI GE?!" Yezun asked Yunlan in a slightly raised tone. "I noticed blood on the floor, I'm trying to see if he's okay but he apologising and told me to stay away. I've been trying for a awhile now he's not responding anymore I'm scared now." Yunlan said to Jing and Yezun. "Wei Ge it's me please open up."

Shen Wei still didn't respond to them and Lin Jing suggested they break the bathroom door because something could have happened to him inside. Both Yezun and Yunlan started to kick the door down and managed to do it. The entered and saw Shen Wei seated on the floor naked with his hands covering his ears saying "I'm sorry Xiao Lan..." repeatedly to himself. His clothes were cut up and scattered across the bathroom floor and the shower heard was next to him with the water still running. Yezun froze as soon as he saw his Ge as the scene from their childhood replayed in his mind and hesitated to get closer to his Ge. Yunlan on the other hand rushed over to Shen Wei and hugged him tightly assuring him everything is fine. Shen Wei was completely shaken up and kept on repeating the same words over and over again.

Shen Wei remained silent didn't say anything to anyone he just stared at everyone. Yunlan managed to get him changed and headed into Lin Jing's lab. They entered and Shen Wei was still shaken up just staring at everyone point blank as he was seated in one of the chairs in the lab. Lin Jing spoke to Yezun and Yunlan privately as he explained to the blood on Shen Wei's clothes were definitely human. "I'm running further tests to see who's blood it is, it may take a while. For now I'll see if there's been any incidents as of last night. I really hope he didn't hurt anyone." Jing added before he walked away.

"Has he said anything?" Yezun asked Yunlan. "Nothing. The only thing he's said was sorry." Yunlan responded before he answered a phone call from Li Qian.

"Zhao Yunlan did you forget about the meeting with the new investors?!"

"Oh that was today? Can you ask my father to go instead, I really can't make it to the meeting today."

"I thought as much, so I called Chairman Zhao and his secretary beforehand but none of them answered and nothing has been heard from both of them since yesterday morning. Also, we can't keep the investors waiting can you make it to work as soon as possible?" Li Qian told Yunlan.

"Where did that old man go to?!" Yunlan asked in frustration. "I'll be there soon." He responded without having any other choice. He then gave Shen Wei a kiss on the forehead and whispered in his ear "Xiao Wei stay strong we will get through this together. I'll be back as soon as the meeting is over." He then apologised to Yezun and Lin Jing for leaving Shen Wei in this situation before he left.

Right after Yunlan left Shen Wei began to recall some scenes from that night. He remembered he spoke to Zhao Xin Ci about something but couldn't pinpoint exactly what they were talking about. He remembered Zhao Xin Ci shouting at him "Listen to my voice A'Wei, you can fight this!" Zhao Xin Ci then suddenly fell into Shen Wei's arms and coughed up blood before he took his last breath.

All of a sudden Shen Wei stood up covering both of his ears and began to cry out. Lin Jing and Yezun run over to him and held him. Yezun gave his Ge a hug and asked what was wrong with him. Shen Wei's breathing became heavy and paced, it almost looked like a panic attack. He really struggled get a single word out and when he finally did "I-I...killled him...I-I-I...killed him..." Shen Wei repeated. Yezun and Jing were initially shocked by what they heard but then he repeated it again. "No Wei Ge you didn't kill anyone. You're not capa-..." "You are not listening to me! I really killed him..." Shen said as he burst out in tears. Yezun tried to console his Ge but he was inconsolable and seeing Shen Wei like that broke Yezun's heart and hugged his brother tighter. "It's not your fault, everything will be okay." Yezun said to Shen Wei as he cried himself to sleep.

Hours went by and Shen Wei was laid in his bed being hugged by his didi tightly as he remained asleep. Lin Jing was in his lab and called Yezun and told him to go the lab because he had some bad news about the blood found on Shen Wei. Yezun left his Ge's side and headed to the lab. He entered and saw Lin Jing prancing back and forth in the lab with some papers in his hands. Yezun walked closer and asked what he had found out. "I think you need to sit for this because if Shen Wei really did kill this person like he said then..." Lin Jing sighed out. Yezun sat in one of the chairs and Jing handed him the test results. He was bewildered as he read the contents of the paper. "99.89% match to Zhao Xin Ci's blood. How are we going to break the news to Yunlan and Shen Wei?" Lin Jing asked Yezun. "DON'T TELL WEI GE!!" Yezun shouted. "Let's keep this between ourselves for now, there hasn't been any news about Zhao Xin Ci anyways. So it's best to say it's better to keep it between us. Wei Ge is already hanging on by a thread, telling him this will only push him over the edge" He added. Lin Jing agreed this could affect Shen Wei's health and mental state and if that happens his powers could get out of hand and innocent lives could be at stake.
