Mercy Mission

Zhao Yunlan woke up in a room filled with lights, hand cuffed to a chair. "Ah I see you're awake now. We are still waiting for your love to save you. Talking about your love, him and I are very much alike in many ways." Wei Fang said as he sat in a chair opposite Yunlan.

"He's nothing like you, you monster!" Yunlan shouted.

"That's where you're wrong my dear boy. I'll tell you a story about a boy who was born without any powers but everyone else around him had it. He was left out and alone. None of the other children wanted to play with him and was kicked out of his own home when he came of age. Was it his fault he was born powerless? All he ever wanted was to be like everyone else so he heard of a folk tale that the spirits who exist among us can grant powers. So this boy sought them out and he found them.
For spirits who were folk tales, you would think they would be hard to find but it was quite easy actually. So, the boy lived with the spirits for months worshipping them. After he gained all their trust he was given the name spirit master. He was told in order for him to fully develop his powers a spirit had to live in his body for 30 days and 30 nights and that spirit was called Meng Po.
Meng Po became the boy's best friend, they understood each other and trusted each other. Meng Po fell in love with the boy and told the boy the secrets of the spirits and how potent she really was. On the final night for the boy to get his powers, Meng Po saw the boy's deepest darkest desires and left the boy's body. She was terrified of the boy she tried to warn the other spirits about the boy but it was too late. The boy had something thanks to Meng Po, a way to kill spirits and take away their powers. He knew exactly what to do to get stronger and so he killed a few spirits. However the boy made a huge mistake by not killing Meng Po first. She placed a shield on all spirits making them invisible to anyone including herself.
The boy became immortal and searched for the spirits for centuries until the boy found out Meng Po was jumping from one body to another. The final body Meng Po jumped into was none other than Shen Wei's body. The boy knew how to get close to Shen Wei and when the time was right kill Meng Po together with Shen Wei. So the boy killed Shen Wei's love Kunlun to make Shen Wei's powers be at his full potential after Shen Wei had experienced how cruel the world really was. However, Shen Wei took his own life together with Meng Po's ruining the boy's plans.
That wasn't the end of it, Shen Wei was reincarnated with Meng Po still inside him. Shen Wei grew stronger in each life but he always killed himself every time the boy killed you. That boy was me and as time went by I found a way to control Meng Po and the memories of me were erased from her memory which made approaching Shen Wei a lot more easier. Did you know that Shen Wei is one of the most powerful humans to ever exist? I can't wait to consume all that power."

Back at the Wei mansion, they were making plans on how to defeat Wei Fang once and for all but Shen Wei told them he will just give up his powers."I cannot live without Yunlan and I don't want to see him get hurt because of me. So please don't stop me I have made up my mind." Yezun asked if he was sure about his decision. Shen Wei nodded and left the house.

Wei Fang got bored waiting for Shen Wei and decided to play a game. He began to torture Yunlan mentally, planting false memories making Yunlan beg him to stop. "Why are you doing all this? What did I ever do to you?" Yunlan pleaded.

"Do you believe in gods Yunlan? Well they exist and I found out if I consume the powers Meng Po and Shen Wei each have, I could become a god. I have played my cards right this life and I will not let you or anybody else ruin my plans." Wei Fang carried on torturing Yunlan and it went on for hours until Shen Wei finally showed up. Wei Fang whispered something into Yunlan's ears as he uncuffed him.

Shen Wei run towards Yunlan whose eyes were red and his face was pale. Yunlan's eyes were blank. Shen Wei asked Wei Fang what he did to Yunlan. Wei Fang laughed "He will live but before that what you promised."
Shen Wei stood up and walked closer to Wei Fang who placed his palm on Shen's chest. "I wasn't going to use this method because after all this time I grew fond of you Shen Wei. You left me with no choice and the stupid machines those scientists built couldn't do it right. This will hurt a lot"
As soon as Wei Fang stopped talking, energy began to flow from Shen's body into his Old Fang's body. Shen Wei screamed in pain on top of his lungs.
Old Fang drained Shen to the very last drop of power within him and Meng Po. After he was done Shen Wei fell onto the floor and could barely move a muscle. He felt like a god and looked younger than his age after consuming their powers. Right before he left them he said a foreign word and laughed.

Shen Wei tried to get up but was met with a knife pierced right through his heart. Yunlan stabbed Shen Wei and didn't seem to be acting himself. Shen Wei asked why he did it and there was no response. At that moment Yezun and the others walked in and luckily Zhu Hong saw the look in Yunlan's eyes and repeats the same word Wei Fang said to release Yunlan from Wei Fang mind tricks. Yunlan came to his senses and noticed Shen Wei laying on the ground lifeless in a pool of blood. Meng Po took over Shen Wei's body one last time and uttered these words before taking their last breath.

"I call on Thee oh spirits. Your child lays here taking his last breath. Our last hope. Heed my call and save your child. Gift him the power to defeat the greater evil to help free us all."

Yunlan cries out begging for forgiveness. He begged Zhu Hong to save Shen Wei. He was willing to give his life for Shen Wei's. He held Shen Wei's body tightly and cried out loud. "If there is a god or spirits I don't know please save him. I'm willing to give him my life. Please save him...please..."

As Yunlan cried he began to glow. Zhao Xin Ci called out his name but he didn't respond. Yunlan was shinning as bright as a morning star, no one could look at him, let alone look him in the eye. He laid Shen's body down and placed a kiss on his forehead and vanished from the building.

Yezun asked what just happened. Zhao Xin Ci was stunned, he was almost speechless. "S-So the myth was true..."
Jing asked what myth.

"There is a myth about a god who wanted to find love so he came to earth to live as a human and the price to his request was to forget he was a god and live as an ordinary human. His memories could only be unlocked if he lost the love of his life. With what just happened to Shen Wei must've woke him up."

"At least he will save us from Wei fang which is good" Da Qing said.

"NO! We need to wake his human side up. He's a god that just lost his love. He is unstable. He could destroy the earth. We need to find him and calm him down some way. Yezun how good are you in mimicking your brother?" Zhao XinCi asked.

"Lin Jing I need you to make a serum to sedate him. He's a god so make it 40-50 times stronger than Shen Wei's usual dose." He added.

Yunlan finds Wei Fang. Wei Fang tries to attack him but his attacks were directed back him tenfold which immediately pulverised into thin air. Yunlan screamed out loud in pain as he held his head. He began to feel rage. At that very moment he heard his name being called by a familiar voice. He turned around it was Shen Wei. "Xiao Lan it's me." Yunlan drew closer to Shen Wei and placed his palm on Shen Wei's cheek. Shen Wei hugged Yunlan tightly and as Yunlan let his guard down Shen Wei injected him with a serum to sedate him. "You are not..."
"I'm sorry Yunlan Ge."

Yezun then dropped the syringe in his hand and started to cry in the arms of DaQing. He just lost his brother didn't have time to grieve.

Da tried to console Yezun. "The storm is over for now. When Yunlan wakes up he-"

"Yunlan will not wake up at least not yet. We will keep sedating him until enough time has passed. He is not ready to grieve." Zhao Xin Ci said.
