Dating someone with a child from a past relationship wasn't something she imagined to be an easy task but she never thought it would be so hard. When she first met Chance, it was easy but as things got more serious between them, it came time to meet each others families but what she never expected was for his family not to like her.

Brooklyn was totally unsure about her and pretty much clung onto Chance the entire time and every time she tried to talk to her, she would ignore her and pretend she didn't hear it. His sisters and mom tried to be nice but they were really worried about their relationship and if she genuinely liked Chance for who he is or if she was just there so that when he gets famous, she can use that to my advantage.

She understood where they were all coming from but it still hurt to know that they didn't like her. Y/n tried to play it off like she was fine but she could tell that Chance knew something was up. He always knew how to read her emotions and figure out what was going on inside her head. He hated that things were the way they are but he knew they were just being protective over him.

Even though he was the "man" of the house, they all still worried over him. He always had such a heart of gold and loved so deeply that he often got hurt a lot by people who got involved with him for the wrong reasons. They were tired of seeing people take advantage of him and abuse his emotions like it was a regular thing so they played the part of a mean family to see if she really loved him enough to stick it out.

As the days, weeks and months passed, she continued to stick through it because no matter how hard things had been for her, she knew it was worth it because she loved Chance and if that's what it took then she was up for the challenge. No matter how many times he tried to convince her that she would be better off leaving, she would always sit him down and explain to him all the reasons why she wouldn't and how he was worth it all.

Throughout this time, his family grew to accept the fact that she wasn't leaving and that she truly loved him and wanted to be with him for the kind-hearted and loving friend, brother, son and father he is.

His sisters pretty much became her own sisters and Shawnee was like a second mother to Y/n. It made the girl incredibly happy to know that they genuinely like her and were only being protective of Chance.
