The sun rises up above the horizon reaching into the den where Fugi is sleeping. Ray floated over to the sleeping boy and gave him a little push. "Five more minutes pleeeeaaaasseee," I groaned. "Cmon sleepy head," laughed Ray. "I deserve my sleep though," I argued through my arms. "Well I was gonna introduce you to some of my friends today but who cares," Ray said sarcastically. "Fine," I sighed. "I'm coming just.... give me... time."

After one hour of Fugi rolling around and whining he finally stood up and left the tree. "Okay, I'm outside now Ray!" I shouted. "Great follow me!!!" He yelled energetically while flying of to a secluded part of forest. "Hey Ray, why haven't I been to this part of forest?" "Because my friends were scared that you were similar to those vicious dogs." "Oh," I breathed out quietly. You might be wondering well I ate a rabbit so they should be scared but think of it as the circle of life. I don't know, but there's one thing for sure, I don't eat my friends.

We came to a low grassy area in the forest. There was a tiny pond to my right surrounded by orange, pink and yellow tulips. They looked so mesmerising. I kept following Ray till we came to a stop in the grass clearance. "Okay you stay here I'm going to go get them, they can be shy," giggled Ray. "I'll wait." Ray then flew into a tree similar to his, I couldn't really see perfectly because there was darkness basically everywhere.

Light shined on the pond only due to no trees covering up above the light. I was starting to get nervous as my eyes traveled everywhere. What if they think I'm a monster? What if they scream and run away? What if they- "BACK!" Yelled Ray emerging from the tree. "Is everything okay?" I asked. "Yup!" As soon as Ray answered I saw Minx leave from a bush next to the tree below. After that many other small critters bravely ventured towards me from all directions with wide eyes.

"Uhhh hi?" I announced. Many gasped and were shaking, but Minx casually came over and gave my arm a hug. "Hi Fugi!" She squeaked. I felt my heart slowly speed down as Minx gave me the most caring hug I've ever had. Chatter began amongst the creatures but sure enough some brave ones started speaking. Minx backed away to give this little Fox kid room. "What are you?" Asked the young boy. "Well... I'm a Surgo." "REALLY!!!" Gasped the young child. "I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD MEET ONE ALIVE!!!" He squealed.

I just chuckled softly at the little creatures behaviour as it made me smile knowing that they are some what friendly. "So what are you doing here," queried a old cat. "Well..." I started panicking. "I have no family..." I spurted out quickly. "Oh poor child," whispered what looks like to be a red panda? "I just have one thing for you kid," Spat the cat. "Don't mess with my family and I won't mess with you." I felt the threat immensely as the cat thing stared right through my eyes with hatred. I felt scared like REALLY SCARED!!! "STOP IT AXEL YOUR SCARING HIM!" Scolded Ray.

I felt so embarrassed.... they didn't like me... Axel then left into a tree. "Hey it's okay Axel is just a grumpy old lynx don't mind him honey," spoke sweetly the red panda. I smiled weakly at her. "I think we would be best to head back home," said Ray. "Okay," I whispered back. Apparently it has already been like three hours already of us chattering. Ray said his goodbye to everyone and I said goodbye to Remi the fennec Fox, Armani the red panda and Minx the pangolin.

"Well that wasn't too bad," sighed Ray on our peaceful walk back. The sun was slowly hiding below the horizon as the forest just grew even more dark. "You think?" I asked Ray. "You'll be best friends or maybe even family! In no time!" Yelled Ray. A small smile formed on my mouth as I looked down averting my eyes from him. "Thanks Ray...." "Anytime buddy."
