Unexpected Guest

"Cmon Fugi!" Ray babbled flying ahead of me. "I am coming just slow down will you!" I sighed out. Ray just flew onwards as fast as a dragonfly to our friends homes ignoring my complaint. We made it there in just under a minute! I was panting hard as my tongue curled out trying to gather any oxygen. Ray kept flying along to a certain tree and went inside.

I eventually caught up and climbed in and to my surprise a whole bunch of other critters were inside as well. "What's going on?" I asked with a questionable face. Ray just put his finger to his mouth and waved me over to him. I followed over to him quietly and carefully weaving through small creatures.

When I was at the front of everyone my eyes widened with shock I could feel my mouth open so slightly but closed instantly when I realised. What laid in front of me was Minx and a MINI MINX!?! I approached next to her as she rested tiredly. Ray laid his hand on Minx head comforting her with sweet words.

I was just to shock to even believe what was still happening, like, MINX HAD A KID!!! I felt so shocked but soon excitement entered my emotions filling my head with awwws at how cute this tiny pangolin looked. I heard a little gasped to my left and turned my head to see Remi staring awestruck. I chuckled lightly at the little boy, he was definitely a special kid.

I suddenly felt a hand tap my right shoulder and that made me jump a little. "Oh sorry Fugi," giggled Ray. I turned back to him and saw him holding the baby. I almost melted right there from the cuteness and I'm pretty sure all the other animals here already did. Ray then quickly placed the baby in my claws as I looked at him with utter horror.

I CANT HOLD THIS BABY I MIGHT INJURE IT!?! I gulped nervously as I tried steadying the baby. It was like a small pebble in my huge claws. Out of no where the babies eyes opened revealing a deep forest green colour. I felt like I was hypnotised by the beautiful orbs. It looked at me unsure of what or who I was. The baby then had the most innocent smile it could muster.

That's when my mouth lifted into a loving smile itself. The baby looked around trying to reach out at anything to hold. "Awwwwww," Ray softly spoke. "Too adorable!" He then gently placed his hand under the little ball and lifted it up and away from me. Ray then placed the awake baby next to Minx. Minx looked at it then moved it closer to her and cuddled it protectively.

I could feel tears breaching my eyes. Happy tears. I used my claw to casually wipe away the liquid before it leaked. Ray turned away from Minx to all the other animals. "Okay everyone I think Minx might want some space to rest, you can come back maybe tomorrow if you want, now off you go." Slowly the animals began leaving.

Soon it was just Ray, Remi, Armani, Minx, the baby and me that were left. "But I wanna stay~" whined Remi. "No, we must leave Minx to rest. She must be very tired." Remi stayed silent as he glanced over at me and gave a small wave. I returned the gesture as he followed Armani out upset. "Okay Fugi I think it's our time to go now," Ray smiled towards me.

I just nodded silently watching Minx and the baby just before I exited the tree with Ray. When outside I then started making connections. "Ummmm Ray?" "Yeah buddy what's up?" "When you said you were helping Minx the past few days was it with this?" He looked up at me and only wore a caring smile. He sighed and nodded his head. "I knew you would connect the dots," he laughed.

"Well, I am a medical person so I could understand how you made the guess," he grinned at me as we continued our walk to the beautiful pond. I nodded silently. We stopped just before the water relaxing at the scenery. I could see the wind so ever gently brush along the tulips. The small fish dancing in the pond calmly splashing.

"AGHHHH!!!" A loud shout of pain from behind alerted both me and Ray as we turned around to the centre of the little town like area. My eyes widened, my breath got caught in my throat as my blood went cold. Axel laid there battered with claw and bite marks on his neck and legs. Blood surrounded around his defenceless body twitching on the ground.

My legs shook with fear as my tail slowly curled in showing my panic. Ray looked at me alarmed. "FUGI RUN!!!" He bellowed. I was to scared of what was happening to process the words zipping through my brain. "FUGI GO NOW!!!" My eyes darted away from Axel to Ray. I shook my head clearing my thoughts, looked at Ray and then ran off.

My heart is thumping my lungs quivering and my arms and legs are becoming numb. I dared glancing back to see what is happening. I saw a arm stretch out behind a tree near Axel from the shadows. blood covered its paw in what I assumed is Axel's. My mind raced back to my dream as the arm had the same yellow-ish fur with black spots. I then turned my gaze back running to the only safe spot I knew of right now.
