Ray and I went out looking for some sort of herb. I think it was called Enchanacea? "What are you doing," Ray asked looking at me confused. "I'm sniffing for the herb 'Enchanacea'," I mumbled."It's not called 'Enchanacea' it's called Echinacea," Ray laughed. "And you won't find it by sniffing just look for it." "Well it's a confusing name and how am I suppose to know I can't smell it," I quickly replied back snarky. Ray just continued laughing and used a wave of his hand to motion to follow close behind him.
I huffed annoyed, 'I can do this myself ' but I didn't want to disobey Ray so I followed. "Hey Ray I have a question to ask." "What is it Fugi?" "Well... why do you need this herb for medicine when you have your healing?"
Ray looked taken back at first but then smiled. "I'm not infinite when it comes to my healing, I have to rest a while to regain more energy to use the skill," he answered. I simply nodded my head in understanding. "Ah! There it is!" Ray beamed.
I ran to the plant where Ray was and examined it. "It's just a purple flower?" "This purple coneflower can help with infected wounds and if you or my friends catch the flu!" He squealed. I looked at him with a bored expression.
'You are seriously interested in a flower that much????' I sighed heavily. I was about to walk away towards our home when.... "where do you think your going?" I stoped dead in my tracks. I gulped knowing what's to come. "Your here to help not run," giggled Ray.
I turned around and looked at him. His eyes held determination that I couldn't turn down. "Fine!" I sighed and lazily walked back to where he is. "Stop with that attitude it's making me feel negative!" Shouted Ray. I looked up at him when I was right next to him and turned my frown into a faked smile.
His face seemed some what amused from my action but didn't continue our argument any further. "Okay, when collecting these flowers be very gentle with them because we want the whole thing," he softly spoke.
I nodded my head and watched as he gently used his hands to dig the bottom of the plant up. "Make sure the roots are still in tact too please." He then grabbed the plant and placed it in a pile next to a tree. "Now it's your turn!" He smiled.
I looked at him with confusion until he pointed at the purple and pink flower. I decided it would be best to try at least. I gently dug around the base of the flower with my sharp claws. Soon enough after a while of patience I made a deep enough circle around it.
I connected my claws beneath the flower and lifted it out of the earth. "You see! You did just fine!" Beamed Ray. For some reason I actually felt like I achieved something. I placed the echinacea with the others and looked over at Ray smiling.
I then started gloating how good I was when digging and Ray just nodded his head while quietly laughing behind his hand over his mouth. I ignored his action and dug up some more of the coneflower.
Soon we had around twenty and guess who had to carry them back, ME!!! I had some in my mouth and some in my claws. Ray only held three meaning I had like seventeen.... The sun was still near half way in the sky when we were beginning to walk back to our home.
When we finally reached the tree my energy burst back into my dead body as I already imagined the calm and lovely nap I was going to have. Ray looked over at me mischievously. I didn't like that look he had.....
"So~ What are you doing now Fugi?" He asked me when he placed the echinacea in a group in a wooden hole located in the tree. I glanced at him as I watched him carry one echinacea to a wooden bench. "Sleeping," I casually replied.
I felt Ray staring at me as my head took refuge in my arms. "Why not help out your friend one more time," he asked. "I'm tired Ray so no." "Please~," he whined. I covered my ears trying to block him out. The sound just traveled past my claws to my poor head pounding my head with his irritating voice.
"FINE!!! Just stop with the whining," I begged. "Yay!" He smiled. I got up from my napping spot instantly regretting my choices but carried onto where Ray was. "So... what am I doing?" "I need you to cut of the roots of the echinacea."
I looked at him as he held his hands behind him floating with a cheeky smile spread along his face. I ignored him and began cutting the roots of with my sharp talon like claws. After cutting the roots Ray gathered them in a seperate hole from the other parts of the flower. After that I then was allowed to escape Ray.
"Am I free to rest in peace now?!?" I asked Ray irritated. "Yes, you may rest now your majesty," He snickered. "I HEARD THAT!" "Well got to go check on Minx BYE!" Before I could even insult him he was already gone.
'Great, at least I am alone now' I smiled dreaming of the calm serenity of the pond with colourful tulips. I let out a breath I was holding as my stress was released. I then went into a peaceful slumber.
Hi! Hope you guys don't mind the little wait just tired. Anyways I'm not to sure about medicine but I find it intriguing for me so thought it would be a great idea for Ray to be some sorta herbalist. 😁
