34. Awoken

(Hayes POV)

Ariana was due to wake up soon. I didn't know wether to let her wake up with Justin and Shawn or stay... I wanted to stay but I don't think she'd appreciate it at all...

"We can all go wait outside if you want?" Matt asks.

"I want to see her." Erin says.

"You can all stay. But maybe just let her wake up to see me " Shawn says.

"I'm okay with that. You guys need to chat." Justin smiles.

"I'd appreciate it" Shawn says.

"Okay we will all go wait. Just call us in when you're ready" Erin smiles and we all stand up leaving Shawn in there with Ariana.

(Shawns POV)

I was holding Ariana's hand. I knew now I couldn't ever leave her side again. She's all I have left and I have no idea what I'd do without her.

She starts moving but doesn't open her eyes. Scooter and Bart were on their way too.

"Can you hear me Ariana" I say softly.

I feel a slight pulse of pressure from her hand as she's trying to squeeze it. She was really weak.

"I'm so sorry Ariana." I say and my eyes fill with water.

Her breathing was being monitored on the screen next to her and I noticed it started becoming slightly more relaxed.

I look over to her and her eyes were slowly opening.

Her eyes were watery and droopy. She didn't look great.

"Hey Ari" I say softly.

She looks over to me and then realises she's not in a good state. I see a tear fall from one of her eyes and she starts crying softly.

"Hey don't cry" I frown and rub my thumb over her hand.

"What happened" she chokes.

She didn't remember...

"You collapsed" I say.

"When?" She asks.

"During your ending performance" I frown.

"All I remember is seeing a bright light and then everything went black" she chokes again.

"Justin's told me about your sarcoidosis" I frown.

I see her get upset.

"It's okay Ariana. I'm here now and I promise I'm not going anywhere." I say.

"Shawn.." she says.

"Yes?" I ask.

"I'm scared" she cries.

I felt my heart drop when she said that. I knew how scared and sick she felt and not being able to do anything hurt me.

"It's gonna be okay Ariana" I try and smile at her.

"What's happening to me when can I leave why I late tubes up my nose" she asks.

"Their helping you breathe" I say softly.

(Ariana's POV)

I was happy to see Shawn. But right now I was in so much pain and scared I was numb to everything.

I knew me collapsing was all my fault.

"All your fans are sending you so much love" Shawn smiles showing me social media.
