Reverie was falling

Reverie was falling. All around her was a vast whiteness of nothing.

She was falling. She didn't know how much time passed but she continued to fall. It was never ending. Reverie expected herself to start panicking but the feeling of falling eased her. Somehow she knew she wasn't going to hit rock bottom. There was no end. She would just keep falling eternally. She didn't know how she knew this but she did. She knew not to be afraid.

Reverie remembered dying. She would have thought that the thought of it would sadden her but it didn't. The thought drifted around her mind as nonchalantly as if she were thinking about what to have for dinner.

She remembered her mother, she remembered Min Yoongi, how scared he looked. She remembered telling him she wasn't afraid, hoping to reassure him. Again, none of this saddened Reverie. In fact, it comforted her. She knew in a short while she would be able to look down at them and watch their lives go by and wait until it was time for them to join her side.

Suddenly, Reverie knew what to do. She stopped falling and her feet hit the ground but when she looked down, she still saw the vast white nothingness underneath her. Somehow, she knew she wasn't going to fall though.

When she looked up she saw him. He faced her and smiled. He seemed almost proud of her.

He was dressed in her favourite outfit. Blue hair, black skinny jeans and an oversized jumper. Reverie smiled. It really had gone full circle.

"Annyeong-haseyo, Reverie."

"Hello, Yoongi."

"You put up quite the show, didn't you? Dying in front of me. At least I can say for those short five minutes we spent together that my life turned into a real life K-Drama."

Yoongi grinned at her, his beautiful gummy smile showing and his eyes squinting.
