"Is my wig ok? Do I still look smart?" I glared at jisoo as she kept pacing around our room

"Stop panicking." I scolded. It is that time where our parents can come visit us and of course they won't miss to.

"How can I not? Mom will be here." She groaned and I sighed.

"Our grades are doing well so far." I tried to be positive but even I know that fell short.

"Well isn't something they want. They want it top-notched." I cringed knowing what she means. Coming here was harder than we thought, although we still have different rankings for each school, we will also be ranked as a whole and that's where we worry.

"We can still turn the tables around soo, the ranking isn't up yet." Irene said, a frown was evident on her face. With the current standing, Triumvate's ten occupies the top 10. How can they not when they're used to the curriculum here.

"Why can't they just focus on our school's ranking?" Joy mutters her disagreement.

"Cause they want to brag their children is up to par with the students of the prestigious school." Seulgi answers. We hear our secret knock and the door opened, chaeyoung peeking in.

"They're here." Two words but it all made us silent and feeling dreadful.

"Can I call in sick?" I whined.

"Sure, so your parents can visit you where no one else is." I shuddered at the thought and bolted up. Atleast they can be civil infront of others and won't nag.

"What are you waiting for? Let's get this over and done with.

Our parents waited at the cafeteria.  Yeah right, If you ever seen a cafeteria with plasma TVs, fancy chandelier hanging on the ceiling, waiters and butlers.

I paused on my tracks seeing they are with Tae and his family. I hesitated to go cause one, they might embarrass me infront of him. Getting scolded about your academic standing in front of your boyfriend who has better academic standing is just awful. And two, I want to impress Tae's parents and being nagged at isn't something they find impressive.

But before I can rethinkmy decision of going, Mrs. Kim spotted me and waved me over. Taehyung looked at me and raised a brow as I walked over to them with the most timid smile. My mom stood up and gave back taehyung's baby sister and came to greet me with a hug.

"Lali! We missed you!"

"I missed you too." I lied throug my teeth. I know, it seems like I'm the bitch, well, that's because I am a bitch. My parents are kind... but they're way too strict and not let me voice out what I reall want. I don't even know what I really want to do cause I was busy following them. When I try to voice out my frustration, they just think I'm rebelling and will just shrug it off.

"Hey there princess." dad gave me one hand hug and they went back to their chair.

"Aren't you gonna sit?" I snapped out of it and smiled then sat next to taehyung, adjacent to them. I was too stiff, like a robot waiting for a command. I scanned the crowd and easily spotted my friends with their rigid backs.

I felt a hand enclosed with mine and I relaxed. I gave taehyung's hand a light squeeze as thanks and he squeezed it back.

"Lisa, i didn't see you participating on the extra-curricular activities." Mrs. Kim says, turning to me.

"She doesn't really need it, It'll just take her focus away from her academics." I closed my mouth shut. See? They answer for me.

"I'm sure she'll have fun. It is one way for the students to relieve their stress you know?" TELL HER!! I wanna scream but my momk just laughed it off.

"And get unnecessary bruises? I don't think that's fun." It is for me!!

"Oh right, I didn't think about that. Difference with having a son and daughter huh?" But mom-in-law. I can kick your son's ass in my sleep!

"All the more she should learn how to defend herself right? I can't wait to see moonbyul grow up." Mr. Kim chuckled

"And scare away potential suitors?" mom joked

"They'll only be scared if they did or gonna do something wrong. It's for defense, not attacking random people to show off." Adopt me! Should I propose to Tae already?

I was thankful our parents are conversing but I can't help but wonder if tae and I will be having problems with our parents  having different beliefs and ways of upbringing. I can only imagine having our mini-me's and our parents contradicting ways. I shook away the thought. It'll be our own family, not theirs. I snorted, we can't even get past second base and here I am thinking of having his children. My parents looked at me and I disguised it with a sneeze.

I straightened up when I feel taehyung's fingers on my bare legs. I thought he was baing naughty but then I realized he's writing. "A r e u o k?" I was only able to read ok and assumed he's asking if I'm ok.

Y e s. I wrote on his lap and inched closer. We were talking without opening our mouths and acted as if we were just forced to sit down with our parents. We were unaware that we're being caught by mischievous twins. We both turned to see the twins giggling at each other.

"What are you so happy about? Share it to us." taehyung urged and then the twins both grinned

"Taehyung and lisa sitting on a bench! K I S S I N G!" They san rather loudly causing taehyung and I to move apart. His mom giggled and scolded her sons to behave but my mom was staring at me and tae with a hard stare. I just tilted my head innocently at her.
