Isis made it habit to come and check on my brother or should I say our brothers, for the past week, she had come up to the conclusion that the only time she'd wake the physical body was when Lia was strong enough to separate the, that was during the full moon. Which meant Zack had to be asleep for a month. I was concerned about his state, how would he eat or drink water but not to my surprise, Dean had organized for his friend who was a doctor to come and hook my brother up to drips to keep him hydrated.

The hardest part was leaving him when I was off to school, I was forced to drive myself just so could get back home to check on him any chance I got, I'd come home during my break, lunch and free periods. Dean would speed over every two hours just to have me assured he was okay. He never wanted me to worry. It was a Friday and school ended early on Friday's because there was either a track meet or the football team was playing and needed time for the games. I was the first to leave class and head straight for my car as soon as I saw the watch strike twelve.

" Why are you always in such a rush " I found Luka by my car "I never see you these days, your either in a rush or with Dean, you don't have time for your best friend " he complained.

" I need to get home, and besides you haven't been around " I told him.

"I had a couple of things to deal with the past week, it's been school the team and my Mum she wasn't to well " he explained.

"Why didn't you tell me? " I asked.

"Jerome and Dean where on about how much you're already dealing with and I thought I'd just stress you" he said.

" Get in the car"  I told him and we both got in the car and I started to drive home. " your mum is like my mum as well ,you should have told me " I said.

"she's better now, she rolled down the stairs, the other week and dislocated her knees " he explained.

" I'll make time to see her " I told him " I still can't believe you didn't tell me " I said.

" I'm sorry, but look you already have a lot on your plate. Are you coming to watch me run today? " he asked.

"I would have loved to but I have to look after Zack " I told him.

"it's cool I understand, I'll see you after then " he said. I dropped him off at his place and drove home

As soon as I got home I went up and checked on Zack and once I saw he was okay I went up to my bathroom and draw myself a hot bath and sat in the tub.

I sat alone in the water for a long time till I heard the door bell ring I quickly got out of the water and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my body, I went down and looked through the pup hole and saw Dean, I opened the door and let him in.

"Let me just get changed "I told him.

"You look fine to me " he said with a grin.

"Stupid " I said and quickly rushed up the stairs but before I could get to the top he was up there before me. "Stop playing " I said.

"But you look fine "He winked.

" You're such a goofball " I playfully pushed him out of the way.

We had spoken and both come up to the conclusion that we liked each other but we didn't want to rush into anything, but he'd come over and help me around and we'd go out.

I got changed and went down stairs.

"You hungry ?" I asked.

"Not really, I had something before I got here " he said.

"The poor little woodland animals. You probably killed a little Bambi " I joked .

"Actually it was your next door neighbor she was looking at me so I introduced myself she let me in, I had a snack and now she can't remember me" he told me.

"The only 'her' in that house is Brooklyn Mr McClain eighteen year old daughter " I said raising a brow at him. And he laughed.

"You jealous? " he asked with a smirk.

"No, she's probably got an STD anyway " I said and turned walking to the refrigerator.

"I didn't sleep with her nor did I feed off her " he said.

"I don't care. " I took some leftovers and put them in the microwave. Then all of the sudden I felt his hands wrap around me.

"Are you going to the festival ?" he asked .

"Walt's thing? "

"Yeah " he responded.

"I would have loved to but I can't just leave my brother alone at night " I told him. " Are you going "

"No, why should I if you're not " he said.

"He's your friend " I told him.

"And you? " he asked.

"He's my friend as well " I said.

"Not him me " he said.

"You're my friend as well " I said as I winked at him.

I heard a knock at the door and before I could answer Isis simply teleported her self into my living room.

"I have I'm not disturbing, don't mind me, I'll just go up and check on them" she said walking up the stairs to my brothers room.

We sat in the living room talking for more than an hour till he's phone rang. He got up and picked his call. As he was on the phone his facial expression changed.

"who was that?" I asked.

"It's just Jerome, I need to go I'll see you tomorrow" he said and in a flash he was gone.

I wondered why he looked so disturbed after that call and why he rushed off so fast .Isis came down the stairs and paused abruptly.

" Power, beauty, death " she said as though in a trance.

"What? " I responded then she snapped out of it.

"Nothing, my head just hurts " she said. " where did your boyfriend go? " she asked.

"he's just my friend, he rushed home " I told her.

"I'm off, don't forget to lock up, I have a bad feeling , I'll cast a protection spell before I leave " she said and walked out the door.

Her words made me worry, what could be going on, I already had enough to worry about I didn't need extra. I decided to go to bed, that's was  after I locked up everything.

A loud noise woke me up abruptly, the room felt cold and I noticed my window was open, I remember closing it before I went to sleep. In the corner of the room I saw a dark figure stood, I turned on my side lump hoping it was just my imagination, but boy was I wrong. A lady stood there she was in a gray body fitting dress and hills she had platinum blonde hair in a Bob her skin was spotless and she had olive green eyes .

"Who the fuck are you?! " I blurted out

"You're pretty " she said. " I see why he keeps you around, and you smell absolutely wonderful, I could just eat you up " she said walking towards me.

"Get out! " I shouted.

"You'll attract people " she said, and the next thing I knew she was sitting on the bed right next to me, she held my chin and moved my head to the side and I saw her fangs extended from her jaw.

"Don't hurt me " I said suddenly feeling fearful.

"I was just playing " she giggled.

"What do you want ?" I asked.

"From you I want nothing, I just wanted to see what was taking up his attention these days that all" she said.

"what are you talking ab-" and before I could finish she was gone.
