The bright streak of light came down the window straight into my eyes letting me know that it's morning already. I woke up and reached for my phone on the bedside. It's 9 in the morning, I should get ready now. I got out of the bed and headed to take a shower.

Yesterday after I told Nate I would show him around he was really smug about it, telling me that I agreed pretty quickly than he thought. And when I asked for his number, only because we were going to be acquaintances, it just made him smirk and tease me more. I ignored him obviously.

He told me that he was going to be free today and would like to look around. I wasn't having any plans other than laying in bed all day, so I was okay with it. It was warm outside and I wanted to be comfortable so I wore my black jeans and a white and maroon striped top. After texting Nate that I'm ready I went down and told grana I'll be out most of the day. She told me to eat some breakfast and take my meds first. My headaches weren't very frequent a few days ago, they seem to be prominent recently. I need to take my medicine on time if I want them to be in control. After lecturing about how I didn't water the plants today, she finally let me go.

I hope Nate is ready and doesn't make me wait. Making my way towards his door I noticed the trees and small plants around the yard are almost dried up, doesn't he think about watering them once in a while? Probably not, even the furniture in the house looked like it wasn't cleaned for a long time.

I knocked on the door and waited for sometime. When he didn't show up I pushed the door open and went into the house. It was really quite inside and the dust was already going to my head. I went over to the birds, they were busy scratching each other's wings. Cute.

"Nate" I called out when I couldn't see him anywhere in the living room. I waited for a few seconds, when he didn't show up I made my way upstairs, there was a room with the door slightly ajar across the hall. That is his room I guess, I could go in there and see what is taking him so long. But I don't want to invade his privacy. I don't think he would like that. So I came down and sat on the empty couch in the room waiting.

"Hey" A voice came after a little while. I looked up and Nate was standing at the bottom of the stairs. He was wearing black jeans and a plain white T-shirt which complimented great against a few tattoos he had. His eyes looked tired but still intense. His curly dark brown hair was wet and a few fringes were sticking to his forehead making it seem like he just came out of the shower.

Damn, he looks like a chocolate cake, a tasty one at that. My subconscious speaks.

Shut up. I retorted.

"I heard you call out, but I was in the shower" he explained his delayed appearance."I'm really hungry. I'll have some breakfast first then we can go, hope you don't mind"  He made his way towards the kitchen without wanting for my answer. I followed him and sat down on the chair next to the counter.

"Yeah, that's fine"

"I would offer you some food, but I'm really not a good cook" He took some cereal and milk in the bowl and took a seat next to me.

"That's okay, I've already eaten anyways" I chuckled.

"Good" he said shoving the spoon full of cereal in his mouth. "Well, where are you going to take me today?"

"It's a nice place, you'll see" I said.

"And by the way, if you could really cook, what would you make for me?"

"Probably nothing,"  He said, giving me a sly smile.

"Hey I'm not a morning person! even if I could cook, I wouldn't go through the efforts of cooking anything early in the morning" he explained when I gave him a look.

"Thought so" I huffed.
