Won't give up
Even though it hurts so much"Mikey."
Michael groaned and shifted in his bed.
"Mikey, come on you have to get up now." Ashton whispered.
"I don't wanna." Michael mumbled.
"I know you're awake. Come on. Get up." Ashton murmured.
Michael groaned and opened his eyes.
"What are you all dressed up for?" Michael mumbled, a smirk playing on the edge of his lips. His eyes traced down from Ashton's navy buttoned shirt to his black jeans and black shoes.
"Mikey!" Ashton whined. "What happened seven months ago?"
Michael decided to take this a little further, holding back his laughter.
"It was summer?" Michael questioned, sitting up.
"Mikey!" Ashton groaned.
Michael giggled and sat up, picking Ashton up bridal style and spinning him around before dropping him on the bed and climbing on top of him, kissing him deeply. Ashton didn't hesitate to kiss back, there was just something about Michael that no matter how mad you can be at him, it's impossible to stay mad at him for long. Michael ran a hand through Ashton's hair as the two closed their eyes, their lips moving together in sync.
"Happy Anniversary baby," Michael breathed once they had pulled away.
Ashton's lips formed into a wide smile as he stared into Michael's eyes.
"I knew you wouldn't forget."
"How could I ever?"
Ashton giggled and kissed Michael gently.
"I don't know," Ashton smiled.
"I love you," Michael grinned.
"I love you more," Ashton beamed.
Michael's grin somehow spread even wider as he got up and sat Ashton up.
"You're obviously feeling better then?" Michael smiled.
"Yeah, heaps." Ashton nodded.
"What about mentally?" Michael asked cautiously.
Ashton rolled his eyes. This wasn't going to be like this all the time, was it? He was asked that question so many times by Calum when this first happened and now the phrase had lost all meaning. You know, like when your friend quotes something from a movie over and over and it's lost all enjoyment and point.
"I'm fine." Ashton snapped.
Michael blinked in surprise but couldn't help memories sneak back on him.
"Cool! I play guitar! Maybe we should start a band!" Michael suggested.
"I'm already in a band," Ashton said, a little snappier than intended.
It was the same tone. The day that they met. Well, the day Michael realised how wrong his opinion of Ashton was.
"Sorry- It's just that question. I hate it." Ashton mumbled, looking down.
Michael smiled softly and cupped Ashton's cheek.
"No, I'm sorry. I'm just worried for you." Michael whispered, hugging Ashton.
When Ashton simply rest his head on Michael's chest instead of wrapping his arms around Michael, Michael felt an uneasy feeling build in the pit of his stomach but he pushed it down, ignoring it. Instead, Michael hesitantly pulled away and plastered a smile on his face.
