Chapter 1

Tears streamed down the young vampire's eyes as she held the little girl closely. Blood dripped from the little girl's neck and started breathing slowly
"O-onee...chan..." The little girl mumbled as she looked up at the vampire
"I-I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I-I...didn't mean to... hurt you" The vampire cried and she held her closely. Soon she saw flaming torches as humans heard the cries. Their eyes widen seeing the little girl bleeding and trembled seeing a pair of vampire wings. The vampire trembled and looked at the humans
"H-help..." The vampire mumbled
'Why did I have to hurt her? She...she didn't deserve this! She didn't! Why?! Why!? I..I..lost her...my...love'

Three weeks earlier

In a kingdom there was a king. He was the strongest of his kind and married to a wonderful queen. She was as strong as him. The two rulers gave birth to a healthy baby girl. A girl who held the power of both her parents. She was a cheerful girl and a little brat too. The girl was wild and enjoyed to explore the world. That girl grew up to be strong and brave just like her parents and would make a perfect queen one day but she...has other plans
"Matsuri Mizusawa! Wake up!" The black haired girl said as she hung from the ceiling. The black haired girl groaned as she squirmed a bit
"Five more minutes..." Matsuri groaned
"Bitch I gave you more than five minutes. Now get up. Your father is furious" The girl said and landed on the bed. Matsuri whined and covered her head
"Rise and shine idiot" The girl said walking to the curtains and opened them revealing the dark sky. Matsuri groaned as she sat up on her bed
"Damnit Ari..." Matsuri groaned as she rubbed her head
"Matsuri your father is going to kill you if you're late again" Ari said
"Agh shut up..." Matsuri said and growled
"I am only helping you before you get yelled at again" Ari said
"Thanks or whatever..." Matsuri said and stood up from her bed
"People are in line for training" Ari said
"Ah seriously? That asshole always has to bring in new opponents" Matsuri said and went to the bathroom to get herself ready
"Yeah but you should be used to it by now. I mean you started at a young age and have been doing it for years" Ari said as she went to the closet
"Yeah I know..." Matsuri groaned. Ari looked through Matsuri's clothes and pulled out her outfit
"And you know everyone here wants a piece of you" Ari giggled
"Yeah they want to get their ass kicked. That's what they want" Matsuri said and licked her fang
"Hmm...what about the guy from yesterday's training? He seemed-"
"I'm not intrested in a bastard. I won't be marrying anyone here..." Matsuri said as she stepped out of her room
"You know that's impossible" Ari said
"Yeah I know...it's just...I've been trapped here in my entire life. I know outside of those walls there is something amazing" Matsuri said as she stared at the window
"You mean something dangerous" Arii said as she smacked the back of Matsuri's head
"Hey!" Matsuri said rubbing the back of her head
"Matsuri you know the outside world is too dangerous for you" Ari said
"Because of humans right? But...what if everyone is wrong. I bet there are some nice things about humans instead of them chasing after our ass" Matsuri said
"Humans don't understand us and it's best not to deal with any of them or we will cause a war. Vampire's lives would be put in danger and we would have to stay hidden forever" Ari said
"Yes I know that. It's just...Ari have you ever wanted to escape this place and just explore other places. Everyone here is nice and kind but...I'm just bored. Everything is the same and nothing new has happened in years. It's just the same old everything..." Matsuri said as she looked down
"I think I know how you feel but...we can't live normally out. Especially with those stupid humans chasing after us..." Ari said
"Yeah...and my parents are really looking forward for me to become the next heir to the throne and take care of this kingdom but..." Matsuri paused and shook her head
"Whatever let's just hurry" Matsuri said grabbed her clothes
"Alright" Arii said as she smiled

Once Matsuri got ready, she ran full speed to her father. Her eyes widen and stopped in front of her father
"A-ah hey dad" Matsuri said nervously and smiled
"Finally you're up" Taruto said as he patted her head softly
"Yeah yeah I'm up" Matsuri said as she laughed a little
"Did you sleep well sweetie?" Jinah asked
"Yes mom. I slept just fine" Matsuri said
"Then I believe you're ready for your training. We've gathered a couple of weaklings that'll help you get stronger" Taruto said
"Can't I take a break from training?" Matsuri asked a little nervous

"Haha Matsuri you know why you must train. To-"
"To protect and defend the kingdom. Yeah I know that dad but can't I take a break from all this. I've improved so much since I was little and have defeated these pieces of shit in one blow. Well...depends if they can handle my power" Matsuri said
Those assholes are so fucking weak. Heh getting beaten up by someone like me should be embarrassing
"She is right. You might be overdoing it" Jinah said
"Overdoing it?! Nonsense! I am only helping our daughter into becoming someone strong" Taruto said
"Well you have been training her since she was little. A little break wouldn't hurt right?" Jinah asked
"Hm? True but Matsuri still needs to work on her endurance" Taruto said
"I can work on that later. I've been training for months. I still have time to train on my endurance. I'll get better I promise" Matsuri said. Taruto looked at his daughter and sighed
"Maybe a little break wouldn't hurt" Taurto said as he gave in
"Yes! Thanks mom and dad!" Matsuri said as she started running out the door
"That girl has so much energy..." Taruto said as he chuckled softly
"She definitely needed a break" Jinah said as she smiled. Matsuri giggled as she finally got out of the castle
"Yay! Freedom!" Matsuri shouted and sighed in relief
Thank god...I needed a fucking break from seeing those perverts
"Eh? Matsuri-chan?" Ari asked
"Oh hey Ari" Matsuri said
"Aren't you suppose to be training at this hour? Ari asked
"Nope! Today is my free day and I get to do whatever I want!" Matsuri said
"Seriously? That's great!" Ari said and hugged her
I get to spend time with her! Hopefully...
"Hehe yeah uh anyways I better get going." Matsuri said as she pulled away from the hug
"Hm? Why?" Ari asked
"Because they get to go to the outside world and I want to be part of that great adventure!" Matsuri said and pouted
"Shhhh! You idiot someone might hear you. Now stop whining like a baby. You'll grow up to be a strong queen one day. Maybe you could explore the world alone" Ari said
"Yeah it'll take thousands of years for me to become the queen..." Matsuri said and walked to their small village where other vampires were. The kingdom took care of it's people and defended them with their lives. All the vampires were safe and protected in different kingdoms. Sadly there were only two kingdoms available since other kingdoms were far from their place. Matsuri was greeted by her people and they gifted her with anything they had. Matsuri only smiled at them while Ari held the gifts
"D-don't you think this is too much?" Ari asked as she struggled to carry the mountain of gifts
"Come. We're going outside" Matsuri said
"A-again!?" Ari exclaimed as she dropped the gifts
"Shut up" Matsuri hissed before grabbing her arm and ran full speed going to the doors
Shit! Guards! I can't get caught or else both my parents will yell at me and that won't be such a good idea
"M-matsuri we're not going out there again. I mean we've done it a couple times and have successfully made it out alive but it's still to dangerous. Who knows what'll happen? Maybe other vampires will come after us or we might see humans and they'll light up their torches and ge-"
"Distract them" Matsuri said
"Wh-what a-hey!" Ari exclaimed as Matsuri kicked her ass pushing her out of the hiding spot
"Hm? Who's there?" The guard asked
"I-it's just me Ari Manila" Ari said as she laughed nervously
Damnit Matsuri! Always using me as a distraction! Am I just your fucking tool or what?
"Eh? Manila-san? What the hell are you doing here?" The guard asked
"Uhm...the princess only wanted me to come here and see if her beloved cousins are back" Ari said
"Seriously? Haven't you asked me that for like the past hundred years? You know what my answer" The guard said
"Yes I know. I've told her many and many times but you know how she is. She will never listen" Ari said
"Yep. Just like the king. Don't tell him I told you this but he never listens to anyone. Well maybe his queen but he never listens to us. Sometimes we need a short break from taking care of this wall. I mean I don't think no human will ever find this entrance. Besides no other vampire has gone out. The only ones are those hunters who hunt our food. Who would want to leave and go get killed?" The guard asked
"Yeah who would be such an idiot and go out there and get killed" Ari said
And that idiot is you Matsuri!

Matsuri stepped out of the doors carefully and felt the cold breeze. She sighed and looked around the area
Night time...like always. I know the sun is bad but...I wish I could see it one day. Just for a small time...
Matsuri giggled and ran around the forest like a kid. She climbed the trees and poked her head out scanning the area. Her eyes glowed red making sure no one was nearby. She jumped off the tree and giggled
No one is here. Perfect
Matsuri started her little short adventure and ran towards the end of the forest and looked at the sky staring at the moon

Matsuri flinched and heard the bushes moved as someone came
"Matsuri! Dumbass!" Ari exclaimed and tackled her making them both roll down the hill
"Shit! You scared me!" Matsuri exclaimed and punched her
"Agh! Hey! That's what you get for always using me as a distraction!" Ari said
"Haha! Hey you're my friend and friends help each other out. Always" Matsuri said and laughed
"Yeah right. Anyways we should get back to the forest. This is as far as we can go" Ari said
"Not far enough..." Matsuri said as she looked out at the land. Ari's eyes widen and grabbed Matsuri
"Idiot we can't go all the way there! We have to get back before they find out you went missing. Come on. Let's hurry. Hopefully that bastard won't see us when we get back inside" Ari said
"Awww Ari....you always ruin the fun" Matsuri said and pouted
"I am only protecting my princess" Ari giggled
"D-don't say it like that idiot. Fine you win this time but next time I'll be going out here alone" Matsuri said
"Hopefully you'll find someone who can distract those bastards for you" Ari giggled
"I'll find someone" Matsuri said
"Okay. Let's go" Ari said as she grabbed Matsuri's hand. Suddenly there was a loud cry for help someone deep in the other forest
"Ari you heard that right?" Matsuri asked
"Hm? What?" Ari asked
"Someone crying for help" Matsuri said
"Probably just the wind now hu-" Matsuri ran off leaving Ari alone
I heard something! No...more like someone!
Matsuri ran into the forest and scanned the area. She gasped and shifted into a bat as she flew up on the sky. She looked down and dived down landing on a tree
"M-mama...h-help...me" A girl cried as she bled from her knees and gasped as she covered her mouth
"Hahaha! Where are you little girl?" A vampire asked
"Come out. We won't hurt you" Another vampire said
"Yeah! W-we just want your fresh blood. Hahahaha!" The other vampire said. Matsuri's eyes widen and looked down at the girl
I-it's a human...
Matsuri looked at the other vampires and back at the girl. The girl trembled in fear as tears streamed down her cheeks. Matsuri looked away wanting to leave but something inside her ached
No...I can't leave her. My job is to protect and defend...so I must protect her!
"Hey assholes!" Matsuri said as she shifted back to normal and jumped from the tree
"Eh?! Who the hell are you?" The vampire asked
"Leave" Matsuri said
"Wait...you're those pathetic vampires who protect other weaklings" The vampire leader growled. Matsuri glared at the three vampires and spread her wings
"Leave the little girl alone" Matsuri said
"Huh? Hahaha so pathetic! Even defending a human!" The vampire laughed
"Get her!" The three vampires shouted. Matsuri growled as her eyes glowed
Time to see how well I've improved
