Chapter 2

"Weaklings should be killed! The strong shall live!" The leader said as he jumped at her. Matsuri moved to the side and grabbed his arm throwing him to the ground. She jumped up and used the tree to push herself off then attacked one of the vampires
Of course they won't fall down in just one hit. It's best not to use all my strength at once or else I won't be able to keep this up
"Why are you fucking with our hunt? This has nothing to do with you!" The vampire shouted. Matsuri's claws came out and aimed for his eyes
"Agh! D-damnit!" The vampire growled as he covered his eyes trying to force them open
"Mizusawa! Don't interfere!" The leader said as he tried to attack her from behind. Matsuri's eyes widen and spread her wings out. He attacked her right wing and Matsuri hissed as she showed her fangs. The vampire growled and grabbed Matsuri from behind
"Hey you piece of shit! Don't touch me!" Matsuri shouted and gasped as the other vampire with injured eyes ran up to her. Matsuri quickly turned her entire body around as he made the two vampires crash into each other
"Idiot!" The vampire growled
"You were in my way!" The injured vampire shouted. Matsuri got out of their grip and ducked down as the leader vampire tried to aim for her head
"Just leave before we kill you!" The leader hissed. Matsuri's eyes flashed red as her wings spread wide out
"Leave the girl alone!" Matsuri shouted before punching the leader's face and pinned him down as she clawed his face
"Hey! Leave him alone!" The other vampires said. Matsuri gritted her teeth and lifted the body before throwing it at the two other vampires
"Leave! Now!" Matsuri shouted. The vampires trembled at the young vampire while the leader vampire stumbled a bit
Just one hit..a-and I feel dizzy? Shit...what kind of power does this bitch have?
"I said leave. Now" Matsuri hissed
"I-I understand...let's go. N-now" The leader said and left with the other vampires. Matsuri sighed and gasped as Ari jumped at her
"What the hell was that!?" Ari exclaimed
"H-huh?" Matsuri asked
"Dont 'huh' me. I saw you fight. What was that? That was incredible! You took on those assholes and they ran away like babies!" Ari said and laughed
"Y-yeah..." Matsuri said
Wait! The girl!
Matsuri went to look at the tree and gasped seeing nothing
Sh-she's gone!
"Hey Matsuri. Why did you attack them?" Ari asked
"Ari did you see a girl?" Matsuri asked as she looked around
"Huh? A girl?" Ari asked
"Yes! A human girl! She was here a second ago" Matsuri said
"Uhm...well no. I saw nothing" Ari said. Matsuri's eyes glowed as she scanned through the forest. Suddenly a strong sweet scent came from a human
It must be the girl!
"Matsuri?" Ari asked
"Sorry" Matsuri said as she ran away
"Argh! Matsuri!" Ari shouted. Matsuri kept sniffing as the scent got stronger which meant she was close
Why did she run away? I was only helping!
The six year old girl cried as she ran through the forest. She gasped as she tripped over a rock and hit her knee as she cried
"M-mama...I-I'm scared...waaaah!" The girl cried
"Please don't cry..." Someone said. The girl opened her eyes seeing a shadow and looked up seeing the young vampire
"Aaaah! Pl-please don't hurt me!" The girl cried
"A-ah no no. I won't hurt you. Please don't cry" Matsuri said as she kneeled down trying to comfort the girl. The girl didn't listen and kept crying which made Matsuri nervous
How the hell can you control a crying human? Hmmm
Her body shifted as she turned into a small bat and stood in front of the girl. The girl sniffed as she wiped her tears and saw the small bat
"Tada! See? I'm not scary. I-I just want to help you. I promise I won't hurt you" Matsuri said as she smiled
Please don't cry...it's kinda getting annoying
The girl calmed herself down a bit and grabbed the bat gently in her hands
"Y-you...won't kill me?" The girl asked
"O-of course not. Not all vampires are bad and I am a good vampire" Matsuri said
"Y-you are?" The girl asked
"Y-yeah! I want to help you find your mommy again" Matsuri said
"R-really?" The girl asked
"Yes" Matsuri said. Suddenly the tree moved as two bats showed up
"Matsuri?" They asked. Matsuri shifted back to her normal and hugged the girl
"N-nitski? Juhin?" Matsuri asked. The two bats shifted back to normal revealing a red haired vampire and a blue haired vampire
"Eh? What's with that hair?" Matsuri asked
"I changed it. Do you like it?" Juhin asked
"How?" Matsuri asked
"He found a way" Nitski giggled
"I want to do that!" Matsuri said
"Hey! Don't change the god damn topic! We just saw you mess with one of the Kamenashi vampires!" Nitski said
"And all to protect that human girl" Juhin said
"She needed my help and all I did was protect her. So what?" Matsuri asked
"Matsuri have you forgotten? You're a vampire and she is a human. Who knows what chaos will occur once the humans find out that this little girl has been kidnapped by a vampire" Nitski said
"But I rescued her!" Matsuri said
"No human will fucking listen to you. Once they see you then you're dead. We've been hiding for hundreds of years to avoid any chaos with the humans. There are human kingdoms out there that believe vampires exist. If they knew about this then they would go after our kingdom. Aren't you worried about your people?" Nitski asked. Matsuri looked down at the girl and gritted her teeth
"I just...can't leave her" Matsuri said
"Matsuri it's just a human" Juhin said
"...a human saved me" Matsuri said
"What?" Nitski asked
"When I was a kid. I ran around like an idiot and when no one was looking I escaped. I left the safe place that night and got lost. I didn't know what to do but cry...until this lady came up to me and gave me a warm smile. She told me that it would be okay and wanted to help me..." Matsuri said as she smiled
Flashback
The small vampire girl only trembled as she looked around. She whimpered a bit as tears built up in her eyes
'Wh-where is home? M-mama? Papa?'
"...I-I don't know..." Matsuri cried and trembled. She began to cry loud in the dark forest. Matsuri sat next to a tree and covered her face as she trembled. She curled herself up into a ball and cried. All the sudden, Matsuri heard the bushes move and heard a voice
"Hello? Someone there?" The woman asked as she looked around. Matsuri gasped and covered herself so the woman didn't see her
'A-a human...she'll h-hurt me...mama...papa'
"Huh? A girl?" The woman asked as she walked up to her and kneeled down. Matsuri whimpered as she kept looking down while covering herself
"Please don't cry...everything is going to be okay" The woman said as she patted her head softly. Matsuri trembled and lifted her head up seeing the woman
"Y-you...you won't hurt me?" Matsuri asked
"What? No. Of course not. I just want to help you" The woman said as she smiled warmly at her
"R-really?" Matsuri asked as she smiled and wiped her tears. The woman reached her hand out and touched her cheek. She smiled softly and helped her up
"Want me to help you find your mom and dad?" The woman asked and held her hand
"M-mhm" Matsuri said as she nodded
"What is your name sweetie?" The woman asked
"M-Matsuri Mizusawa..." Matsuri said
"What a cute name Matsuri" The woman said
End Of Flashback
"Yeah that was many years ago. These assholes have developed weapons to kill us alright? Now we must get you home" Nitski said
"I'm not leaving her here" Matsuri said as she carried the girl in her arms
"Well you can't bring her to the kingdom. Her scent is strong especially with that...blood" Nitski said and looked at the girl. Matsuri kicked her and hugged the girl closely
"No. I won't leave her" Matsuri said
"What the hell?" Nitski growled
"Listen Matsuri. You can't bring her to the kingdom. She will die there especially because of all the vampires. They'll smell her scent" Nitski said
"Then help me please. I just...I'll keep her until I find her parents. Please...just help me" Matsuri said
"Of course we'll help. Right guys?" Ari said
"Eh? We will?" Nitski and Juhin asked in unison
"Yes. Matsuri is your family and remember families will always help one another" Ari said. Nitski only sighed as she thought for a moment
"Please Nitski..." Matsuri pleaded
"Nitski..." Juhin said
"Argh! Fine...but you will only keep her until we find out where her parents are okay?" Nitski said
"Thanks! I understand!" Matsuri said as she smiled

"Sir we heard an attack from near the forest. I believe it's from our fellow allies the Kamenashi" The guard said reporting to the King
"What? An attack near the forest? Nonsense. No human has ever gotten this far" Taruto said
What if they're looking for us? Shit...we can't let these humans get close towards our kingdom
"Are you sure they were attacked?" Taruto asked
"Your majesty I assure you that they were attacked. We've even found them injured...but the way they were attacked...it seems they have been attacked by a vampire" The guard said
"A vampire?" Jinah asked
"That's nonsene. Another vampire attacking it's own kind? Do you know who attacked our fellow friends?" Taruto asked
"We asked them but they said that they don't remember. For some reason they passed out completely and their memories were erased or something like that" The guard said
"Then we must be careful...I don't know who would attack their own kind. Was there no human around the area?" Taruto asked
"No sir. We've scanned the area and there is nothing. No one near by. We even tried to search for the attacker but nothing" The guard said
"Very well. We must keep a look out for this traitor and-" Taruto paused as he sensed a strong scent. His eyes flashed red and growled
Something...is not right. That smell...a familiar scent from many years ago...why is it...here?
"Sir?" The guard asked
"There is something going on..." Taruto growled before leaving. He ran through the castle and got to his daughter's room opening it wide open
"Matsuri!" Taruto said
"Aagghh! Wh-what the fuck?!" Matsuri exclaimed as she looked at him
"Do you...smell that?" Taruto asked as he looked around at Matsuri's room
"Wh-what? Smell what?" Matsuri asked trying to remain calm
Shit! Please work! Please work!
"This smell...it almost...smells like hu-"
"What are you talking about? There is no smell, dad" Matsuri said
"I'm sure there is something-" Taruto's eyes widen and sniffed
What? The scent is gone? How? "W-wait...but I know there was a sweet scent around here somewhere. Where did it go?" Taruto asked
"I think you need to get your nose checked because I smell nothing and if I did. I would've hunt it down by now" Matsuri said as she smiled. Taruto looked at his daughter suspiciously but shrugged it off
Maybe...it was all in my head? No...no that's not it. I know for sure that scent was around here. Hmm...maybe I should check on other places
"Sorry for interrupting your time Matsuri. I guess I was wrong but if you do sense something odd then please come to me" Taruto said as he walked out the door
"Yes father" Matsuri said. The door closed and Matsuri sighed in relief. She went to the bathroom where the girl was sitting naked in the warm water
"Phew so that worked" Matsuri said and stepped inside. The girl only looked down at the water and played with the water
"Don't worry you're safe with me for now but we will find your parents and home okay?" Matsuri asked. The girl looked at her and nodded shyly
"Oh right. My fucking manners uhm...what is your name?" Matsuri asked
"M-mitsuko...T-taniguchi" Mitsuko said timidly as she trembled
"Hehe nice to meet you Mitsuko. My name is Matsuri Mizusawa" Matsuri said as she smiled
