Chapter 11

The small group flew away to a much safer place where no other humans were. Matsuri groaned as Nitski put her down. Matsuri panted heavily and trembled as she leaned against the tree
I-it still burns...h-how...the hell d-did that fucker do it?
"Hey Matsuri. You okay?" Nitski asked
"I-I'm fine..." Matsuri said and struggled to stand up. She gasped and fell but Nitksi caught her
"You fucking idiot. Sit down and rest" Nitski growled
"Sh-shut the f-fuck up okay? I can do this" Matsuri said as she forced herself to stand
"Stop it! Stop forcing yourself! You'll get hurt even more you fucking dumbass!" Nitski said as she pushed her down
"Alright. Fine..." Matsuri said as she sat down and looked at the two Okogis
These little bitches have powers...
"Why didn't you say anything about your powers?" Matsuri asked
"B-because you never asked?" Shai said
"What?" Matsuri growled
"S-sorry for not saying anything but yes. W-we do have powers. I-I can set part of my body on fire and Shai can freeze things with her touch" Yuzu said
"Why didn't you just use your powers when you were captured? You could've defeated those bastards really easily since they're weak" Matsuri said
"B-but it hurts...th-that's why we don't like using it" Yuzu said
"W-we get hurt because...w-we're half humans" Shai said. The two girls uncovered their hand revealing burned injuries and frostbite
"Since you're half humans then it must be difficult to defend yourself with such great power" Juhin said
"Y-yeah..." Yuzu said and covered her arm
"Matsuri...should we take them to her?" Nitski asked
"Why should we?" Matsuri asked and Nitski kicked her head
"Ow!" Matsuri said and held her head
"Idiot! They saved you! If they hadn't done that then you would've probably been captured by those guards!" Nitski said scolding her. Matsuri whined and looked at the two girls
"We'll take you two with the bitch" Matsuri said
"Witch" Juhin said
"W-witches!?" The two Okogis exclaimed. Matsuri groaned as she covered her ears
So god damn loud...please don't make me regret this. I don't want to deal with them anymore...
"Can you stand up now?" Nitski asked as she held her hand
"Yeah yeah. The pain is somewhat gone now" Matsuri said as she moved her arm
But still...how did that whip hurt? It was burning my skin...kinda like when my skin makes contact with the sun
"Aren't we going?" Juhin asked
"Yes. We're going" Matsuri said as she shifted into a bat and flew up a bit
"Y-you can still fly?" Yuzu asked
"Just a little. Now hurry and shift" Matsuri said
"U-uhm...we can't sh-shift yet" Shai said nervously
"Huh? You can't?" Matsuri asked and shifted back to normal
They're half vampires...can't they fucking shift? Damnit...this is going to take forever
"W-we haven't tried" Yuzu said
"We'll have to carry them" Nitski said
"C-carry us?" Shai asked
"Let's go you little shits. We better hurry before we bump into more humans" Matsuri said
"Here. Get on my back" Nitski said. Yuzu hopped on Nitski's back and Shai got on Juhin's back
"Okay. Let's go" Matsuri said shifting into a bat again and clinged onto Yuzu's shirt. Nitski and Juhin took off then flew up in the dark sky
"W-woah...it's so cool" Yuzu said as she looked down at the trees
"A-and scary..." Shai whimpered as she gripped onto Juhin tightly
"We're almost there. We'll be on the ground soon so don't worry" Juhin said. Soon the vampires landed on the ground and saw a hut nearby
"I-is this the place?" Yuzu asked
"It looks scary..." Shai mumbled
"Relax. She is really nice" Nitski said
"I guess..." Matsuri said and shifted back to normal
Let's just get this over with...
Matsuri walked up to the hut and knocked on the door. The door opened revealing a dark blonde
"Oh it's the bitch again" The girl said and giggled
"Grrr...annoying little bitch" Matsuri growled
"Hm? Your new friends?" The girl asked as she looked at the other two girls
"They're injured. We need help" Matsuri said
"Follow me" The girl said and allowed them inside the hut. Shai trembled a bit but Yuzu smiled at her
"It'll be okay, Shai" Yuzu said and held her hand gently
"O-okay" Shai said. The group followed the girl inside and saw many jars filled with liquids
"Try not to bump into anything" Nitski said. The two Okogis carefully walked inside and jumped as they heard glass break
"Matsuri!" The woman shouted
"Oops...my bad Liana" Matsuri said. The 24 year old only groaned and walked up to the small group
"What the hell are you fucking doing here?" Liana asked
"Sorry for interrupting your time again but these two Okogis are half vampires and I rescued them. They saved me by using their powers but since they're half humans they uh...kinda injured themselves" Matsuri said
"Half vampire half human? Intresting. Please come with me" Liana said. Yuzu and Shai hesitated for a moment before following the woman
"I've never met any half humans and vampires! A pleasure to meet you. I'm Hana Nagemine" Hana said as she smiled. Shai jumped and trembled as she hid behind Yuzu
S-scary...e-everything
"Uhm...is that girl okay?" Hana asked as she pointed at Shai
"Hahaha Shai is really shy when meeting new people. E-especially loud people" Yuzu said as she chuckled nervously
"Awww really? Hehe well there is no need to be afraid. I am a really nice person and I like to be friends. So let's be friends" Hana said
"Sure. I would like that. I'm Yuzuko Okogi but you can call me Yuzu and this is Shai Okogi. Say hi at least" Yuzu said whispering the last part at Shai
"U-uhm...h-hi" Shai said nervously and whimpered softly
"Hana that's enough. Can't you see that you're scaring our guests?" Liana said as she mixed a few liquids together and shook it
"I'm not trying to scare them" Hana said
"Girls please come here" Liana said as she was preparing the healing cream. Yuzu and Shai walked up to the woman slightly nervous
"Please take a seat. I need to check your injuries" Liana said
"S-sure" Yuzu said and went to the two seat. Shai whimpered and sat down next to Yuzu. Liana noticed the two girls arms and nodded
"Okay. This will only sting for a moment but then it will relief that pain" Liana said as she dipped her fingers inside the cream. Yuzu held out her arm and Liana gently rubbed the cream against her arm. Yuzu winced in pain but soon she felt the cooling sensation
I-it feels good now
"Now your turn" Liana said. Shai whimpered and she closed her eyes tightly as the woman rubbed the cream on her palm. Shai whimpered loudly as she felt the sting but looked at her hand feeling the cool relief
"Th-thank you" Shai said and moved her fingers
"So you're really a witch?" Yuzu asked
"What? Who the fuck told you I'm a witch?" Liana asked
"Them" Yuzu said
"Nitski!" Matsuri said
"Juhin!" Nitski said
"Matsuri!" Juhin said. Liana glared at the three Mizusawas and shook her head
"Forget it. Now you two got injured by helping Matsuri?" Liana asked
"Y-yes" Yuzu said
"What the hell happened to you?" Liana asked as she looked at Matsuri
"We kinda had to deal with someone from the Royals. A black knight" Matsuri said
"Oh shit. The black knight huh? I heard she is a beast" Hana said
"W-wait...she?" Matsuri asked
It's a girl?! What the fuck?!
"Hm? You didn't know? She is part of the Taniguchi kingdom. People don't know who she is though since she always wears that armor" Hana said
"Hahaha Matsuri was going to be defeated by a human girl?" Nitski asked
"Some say she isn't even human" Hana said
"Those are just rumors. No one knows for sure how strong she is..." Liana said
"Is she really that dangerous?" Juhin asked
"I mean she's slaughtered like tons of vampires in the past three years. She's also caught vampires and took them to the kingdom" Hana said
"Wow...this bitch must be really strong. I wonder if Matsuri is able to defeat her" Nitski said
"O-of course I can defeat that stupid black knight! I'm unbeatable and I'll keep fighting until I win" Matsuri said as she smiled
"Hehe really? Well it's your funeral. That black knight is difficult to beat" Hana said
"I don't care what they say. I'll challenge her when I see her again" Matsuri said
And I'll beat her up for sure...I never lose

After taking care of the Okogis, the small group left the Nagemines and went to the girl's home
"Is it here?" Juhin asked
"Y-yes" Shai said. Nitski and Juhin both landed on the ground
"This is your home?" Matsuri asked
"Mhm" Yuzu said and Nitski landed on the ground. Suddenly the door opened and a woman showed up
"Girls!" The woman cried and the two Okogis ran up into the woman's arms
"Mama!" Yuzu said
"Auntie!" Shai cried and hugged her
"Oh thank goodness the two of you are safe!" The woman cried as she held the two girls closely. Matsuri only sighed and turned her back on them
"Let's go" Matsuri said
"Eh? Already?" Nitski asked
"Yes. Let's go" Matsuri said
"W-wait!" The woman said which caught the three vampires attention
"Yes?" Matsuri asked
"Th-thank you so much for getting them home!" The woman said
"Uh...you're welcome" Matsuri said
"Hey...are the blonde girl's mother?" Nitski asked
"Y-yes. My name is Ume Okogi" Ume said
"You got with an Okogi?" Juhin asked
"Y-you knew my husband?" Ume asked
"Uhm...no but was your husband a vampire?" Nitski asked
"Yes. He had a sister too. Her name was Kallen and Shai is her daughter" Ume said
"What about her father?" Nitski asked
"Her father was part vampire and...was murdered" Ume said whispering the last part
"Oh..." Nitski said
"I-I'm so glad that they're back home. I promise to not let them out of my sight ever again" Ume said and bowed down
"So...are you the only person who has been with a vampire around this area?" Matsuri asked
"Yes. I usually have to live out here because of my girls and their transformation during night" Ume said
"During the day they're humans?" Matsuri asked
"Yes and during night they turn into vampires" Ume said
"That's cool. They don't have to worry about getting caught" Juhin said
"Does the sun not burn them?" Nitksi and
"Surprisingly it doesn't hurt them" Ume said
"Yeah we can walk around in the sun all day until the sun sets" Yuzu said
"What about blood? Don't they need it?" Matsuri asked
"W-we kinda attack humans for bl-blood but we leave them alone after that. We sorta screwed up..." Yuzu said as she chuckled nervously
And we got caught...
"Next time don't go out there alone. Humans and vampires have captured other vampires" Matsuri said
"Wait...even vampires?" Yuzu asked
"Yes. Vampires have captured other weak vampires just because they believe only the strong should live. It's stupid..." Matsuri said
"Th-then you can help us!" Yuzu said
"What? Help?" Matsuri asked
"C-can't you help us on using our powers? Who knows what'll happen if we bump into those humans or other vampires again" Yuzu said
"I-it could be dangerous..." Shai said as she whimpered
"Please train us?" Yuzu asked. Matsuri only looked at the two and shook her head
"No" Matsuri said
"Please! Teach us!" Yuzu said
"I'm not wasting my time with a bunch of kids..." Matsuri said as she turned her back on them
"B-but we need you! You were so great out there that I thought that I could be just like you! Because you're strong and help others! I want to be useful and at least defend myself or my family!" Yuzu said. Matsuri's eyes widen and trembled slightly
"O-onee-chan...I-I want to grow up big and st-strong so I can b-be with you. I-I want to marry you"
Argh! Why did I have to fucking remember that?! Damnit! Why...just...why
"Can you use your power during the day?" Matsuri asked with her back still facing them
"Y-yes" Yuzu said
"Well...if you have nothing to do in the morning then we can train" Matsuri said
"R-really?" Yuzu asked
"W-we are?" Shai asked
"Yes. We'll be training in the early morning where vampires are heading back and humans are still in bed. We'll train until the sun rises" Matsuri said
"Th-thank you so much!" Yuzu said as she smiled
"W-we will try a-and give it a try" Shai said as she smiled a little
"Yeah whatever" Matsuri said
"Thank you for helping my girls...uhm... I'm sorry but what is your name?" Ume asked
"Matsuri Mizusawa. These two are Juhin and Nitski Mizusawa" Matsuri said
"Thank you for guiding them home. If you three need someplace to stay then please stay here so you don't have to deal with humans or vampires" Ume said
"Thank you so much but...I must go out and help those in need" Matsuri said
"But you will come back right?" Yuzu asked. Matsuri looked at Yuzu and nodded
"Y-you promise to come back...?"
Fuck...why...
"Well I hope you two don't run around the woods again. Just stay home or else those bastards will get you" Matsuri said
"Okay" Yuzu said
"O-of course" Shai said
"Good. Now get back inside. I'll be back in this spot in the early morning" Matsuri said
"W-we understand" Yuzu said
"Th-thanks" Shai said. Matsuri shifted into a bat and clinged onto Nitski
"Let's go dumbass" Matsuri whispered
"Okay. See ya" Nitski said
"Stay safe" Juhin said. The vampires left and Matsuri only trembled slightly as memories from the past came flooding back. She closed her eyes as she pinned her ears down
