Chapter 12

The sun began to rise and the whole kingdom woke up. The sun lit up the princess's room and opened her eyes. She groaned as she sat up and stretched her arms out. The fifteen year old blinked a few times and closed her eyes
"I promise..."
Knock knock
"Princess Mitsuko breakfast is ready" The woman said
"I'll be there in a minute" Mitsuko replied. She stood up from her bed and started getting herself ready. Mitsuko grown into a beautiful girl with an amazing body that many young men have fallen for her easily but the young Taniguchi always rejected them coldly. Her glare was as cold as her heart. People in the village and kingdom feared her but admired her at the same time. After hearing how the little girl survived out in the woods alone for three weeks, her father decided that it was time for intense training. At first, Mitsuko was weak and had difficulty to keep up with her training. Especially with her aching heart that kept hurting her broken heart. For the past ten years, Mitsuko has been growing strong but her heart aching and aching. In the end, Mitsuko became the strongest in her family and even became part of the Royal Guards. She was known as 'The Black Knight' but of course no one in the village knew about it, only the Kingdom. Each night Mitsuko would go outside and hunt for vampires then capture then or kill them. Vampires were used as tools and for weapons in the kingdom. Mitsuko felt guilty for harming vampires but...she had no other choice because of her father. Mitsuko finished getting herself ready and picked her hair up tying it up into a ponytail while leaving the long bang on the left side of her face
Another stupid day...
Mitsuko stepped out of the bathroom and went to the closet to pick out a dress. She changed her clothes and wore her dress
"Micchan?" Her friend asked as she knocked on the door. Mitsuko looked at the door and walked up to the door
"Oh morning Maruta" Mitsuko said
"Morning Micchan. Are you ready?" Maruta asked
"Yes. I'm ready" Mitsuko said and stepped out of her room. Maruta nodded and smiled softly at her. Maruta was one of Mitsuko's closest friends since they met during childhood. Mitsuko didn't mind having a slave as her friend and decided to help her and her family. Ever since day one, Maruta always admired Mitsuko that her admiration turned into something else. A new emotion began to grew inside of her that it was a struggle to hide. Maruta would always blush being around Mitsuko but she knew she had not chance. Especially because of a dark shadow that surrounded Mitsuko all the time. No human has seen the shadow or even Mitsuko
"Hm? Maruta is everything okay?" Mitsuko asked
"Y-yes Micchan. I'm okay" Maruta said as she smiled. Mitsuko shrugged and Maruta only trembled slightly seeing the shadow once again. The shadow never spoke but it did give her a warning to keep her distance and stay away from Mitsuko
Flashback
"Hey! Leave her alone!" The eight year old said as she ran towards the small group of girls. The eight year old looked down at the hurt girl and held out her hand
"Are you okay?" The young princess asked worriedly. The black haired girl sniffed as she uncovered her face and looked at the beautiful princess
"H-huh?" The girl asked
"Let me help you" The princess said and grabbed her hands lifting her up
"Th-thanks but...wh-why are you h-helping me?" The girl asked
"Because it's wrong that those girls were hurting you like that. They shouldn't do that" The princess said
"O-oh..." The girl said and looked down. The princess looked at her and smiled a little
"Want to be friends?" The princess asked
"B-but...you're a princess" The girl said
"So? That doesn't mean we can't be friends. My name is Mitsuko Taniguchi. What's your name?" Mitsuko asked
"M-maruta Kayo" Maruta said
"Nice to meet you Maruta. That's a beautiful name" Mitsuko said
"I-it is?" Maruta asked
"Mhm. I think it's pretty" Mitsuko said
"Th-thanks" Maruta said as she blushed
'Sh-she...thinks I'm pr-pretty...'
End Of Flashback
"Morning Onee-chan!" The hazel eyed girl said as she smiled at her older sister
"Morning Harumi" Mitsuko said
"Hi Kayo-san" Harumin said
"Hey Harumi" Maruta giggled. Mitsuko walked to the table and sat down while Maruta stood behind the table since she was a servant for the Taniguchis
"Morning girls" Their mother said as she walked in
"Morning mama!" Harumin said
"Morning mother. Where is father?" Mitsuko asked
"Oh your father is just doing his morning training routine. You know how he is" Her mother said
"Right...he is always training" Mitsuko said and looked down at her food
Does he ever get tired of training every morning?
"Maruta please sit down" Soha said as she smiled softly
"U-uhm...okay" Maruta said as she smiled softly and walked up to the table to sit down next to Mitsuko. She trembled slightly and Soha called one of the maids to serve her breakfast
"Th-thank you" Maruta said as she smiled softly
"You're welcome dear" Soha said. Mitsuko started eating while wearing her serious expression. She felt a sting inside her chest but she kept enduring the pain
"I-I love you too Mitsuko-chan!"
"I-I...want to m-marry you too..."
Last night you were there...don't I fucking matter to you? Didn't you say you loved me? It's hurting...again...and again...make it stop...please...just come back to me. Hold me...and tell me...you love me
"Mitsuko?" Soha asked
"Yes?" Mitsuko asked as she looked at her mother
"You feeling okay?" Soha asked as she looked at her daughter with a concern look
"Y-yes. I'm fine" Mitsuko said
"You don't have to force yourself into hunting those vampires during night. You need to rest" Soha said
"Mother please don't worry about me" Mitsuko said and smiled softly at her mother
"I'm just worried that you don't get enough rest since you have your Royal duties" Soha said
"I've been doing this for the past three years. I feel fine" Mitsuko said. Maruta looked at Mitsuko smiling softly but soon saw the shadow behind her again. The shadow only gave her a glare before hissing at her
"Maruta?" Mitsuko asked. Maruta gasped softly and giggled nervously
"Y-yes Micchan?" Maruta asked
"You okay?" Mitsuko asked
"Hehe I'm fine Micchan" Maruta said
"Are you sick? Were you looking at a ghost?" Harumin asked
"Hehe no. It was nothing" Maruta said as she giggled nervously
"It looked like you saw a ghost" Mitsuko said
"So you actually saw a ghost? You can see ghosts?" Harumin asked
"Shut up Harumi" Mitsuko said
"Mitsuko" Soha said
"Sorry..." Mitsuko said

"Hnnngh! Aaaaag!" Yuzu said and tried pushing the boulder in front of her
"Come on! We don't have all day!" Matsuri said
"I-it's heavy!" Yuzu whined. Shai was shaking and trembling as she was trying to help Yuzu. Her legs gave out and she plopped on the ground
"Hah...haah... " Shai panted heavily. Matsuri shook her head as she sat on the tree
"Hehe so how is training?" Nitski asked in her bat form
"These two kids have a lot of training to do" Matsuri groaned
This is going to take forever...
"Awwww you care about them" Nitski said
"Shut the hell up Nitski. Where's Juhin?" Matsuri asked as she looked around the tree branches
"He is asleep but I guess he might wake up from all the fucking yelling" Nitski said and giggled softly
"They have so much to do..." Matsuri said
"M-matsuri! We can't!" Yuzu said
"Don't you dare give up on me you little shits!" Matsuri said and jumped off the tree landing on the ground. She walked up to the two girls and sighed
"You kids have a lot to learn" Matsuri said and punched the boulder hard shattering it into small pieces
"Woah..." Yuzu mumbled
"So cool..." Shai said
"You two don't know how to shift, how to fight, or how to control your powers. So don't give me that 'give up' bullshit. I thought you two wanted to be strong so you can help others and protect them" Matsuri said
"W-we do!" Yuzu said
"W-we want to..." Shai said softly
"Then don't fucking give up or say you can't do it. I know you two are strong. I can sense your true power inside" Matsuri said
"Y-you can?" Yuzu asked
"Of course I can. Now I want you both to use your powers" Matsuri said as she picked one of the rocks and threw it at them
"H-hey!" Yuzu said and ducked
"Come on! Use them!" Matsuri said and kicked a rock at them
"N-not so fast" Shai whimpered
"Okay" Matsuri said and picked up the speed as she started grabbing the rocks and throwing then hard and fast
"AAAAAAH!" The girls screamed and started running around. Nitski only sat on the tree as she laughed like crazy
"Nitski! I'm trying to fucking sleep!" Juhin growled as he wrapped himself and looked at her
"Sorry but it's just that these two idiots are running around like idiots!!" Nitski laughed
"C-can't you slow down!?" Yuzu exclaimed
"Nope" Matsuri said and threw a massive rock at Shai. Shai's eyes widen and ducked down as she closed her eyes tightly. She opened one of her eyes and gasped seeing an ice block in front of her
"I-I...blocked it?" Shai asked and winced in pain feeling her hand ache
"Good job Shai!" Yuzu said
"Good job indeed but your body still needs to get used to your power. Yuzu try and punch that ice block" Matsuri said
"Wh-what?" Yuzu asked
"You heard me. Punch it" Matsuri said. Yuzu gulped and looked at the frozen block
"Hnngh" Yuzu said as she punched the block
"What a weak ass punch..." Matsuri said and growled in frustration
"I-I'm sorry!" Yuzu said and hid behind the block. Matsuri only sighed and looked up at the morning sky
The sun is going to rise...
"Think about something that'll make you mad" Matsuri said
"Why?" Yuzu asked
"Get mad idiot. Think about something that'll make you use your flames. For example, what if a vampire tries to hurt your mother? Or your cousin? Would you just cry like a little wimp? Or stand up and fight back?" Matsuri asked
"F-fight back" Yuzu said
"What?" Matsuri asked
"I said I would fight back!" Yuzu said
"Huh? I can't fucking hear you? What the hell did you just say?" Matsuri asked
"I said fight back! I would fight back! Just like father said!" Yuzu shouted before raising her fist and punched the ice block hard that it shattered. Her arm set on flames and trembled slightly
"Aaaaah! Turn it off! Aaaaah!" Yuzu exclaimed as she shook her arm
"Drop and roll!" Nitksi laughed. Matsuri groaned and ran up to Yuzu as she picked her up
"Enough. You're not dying" Matsuri said. Yuzu trembled and looked at her arm that had some slightly burns
"I-it stings a little" Yuzu said and winced in pain
"Don't worry kids. We went to the witch's place and got some of that healing cream!" Nitski said as she waved the cream around
"Idiot! Don't fucking drop it! Anyways I hope the two of you learn to use your powers more often. Maybe try and do small things with your powers like lighting up the fireplace or create small ice cubes" Matsuri said
"H-how long do you think will it take for us t-to get used to our power?" Shai asked as she looked at her hand
"Depends how often you use your powers. If you keep using your powers then soon you might be able to use them during a battle. Also you two need to work on your strength" Matsuri said and started walking away going to the tree
"Eh? You're leaving?" Yuzu asked
"I'm taking a nap you idiots. I've been up late last night and I had to fight those little shits. Besides the sun will be rising..." Matsuri said as she shifted into a bat and climbed the tree
"W-will we see you again?" Shai asked
"Of course. I'll be staying in this tree" Matsuri said and got to the tree branches
"And take this" Nitski said as she dropped the cream which Yuzu caught
"Now I need to sleep" Nitski said as she shifted into a bat and crawled up the tree
"Uh...good night I guess? Come on Shai. We have to help mama with breakfast" Yuzu said
"O-okay" Shai said and followed Yuzu home. Matsuri looked at the two girls leave and smiled a little
"Hehe I can tell that you will be a great mother one day" Nitski giggled
"Shut up" Matsuri said as she gave her a glare
"Let me sleep you bitches" Juhin groaned
"Sorry" Nitski and Matsuri said
