Chapter 42

"Everyone please remain calm. We will handle all this" Hojo said trying to calm down the crowd. He looked over at the other Kings and gave them the signal to get to the other room. Hojo walked away and went to the other room along with the other Kings
"What the hell was that, Hojo? What happened to you?" Damon asked
"I can't explain it right now. We should start thinking on what to do" Hojo said as he looked down
"We need to attack back and find their Kingdom" Damon said
"Do you want to commit suicide?" Sho asked
"What else can we do? These fuckers will only attack" Damon growled
"We can't defeat those monsters just like that. We must play fire with fire" The Hiroto King said
"What? Set them on fire?" Damon asked
"Such a dumbass" The Hiroto King said
"He meant that we use vampires to attack" Sho said
"Ah right. That works better" Damon said
"Are you sure we want this asshole in here?" King Tashi asked
"Shut up. We need to come up with something" Hojo said
"What about your daughter? She said that she has vampire friends. Her story might be true" Sho said
"I'm not sure if those vampires are friendly but...I guess we have no choice. Where the hell is that girl? Has she returned?" Hojo asked and looked at a guard
"Not yet sir" The guard said
"Damnit...we need her right now" Hojo said
"Sir! She's heading this way with a few vampires!" Another guard exclaimed as he came in
"What? Other vampires?" Hojo asked. The Kings stepped out of the room and left the castle. Hojo's eyes widen seeing Mitsuko along with other vampires who stood behind her
"Monsters!"
"Traitor!"
Mitsuko's right eye glowed as it darkened and soon a few shadows appeared on the right side of her face
"Shut up! ALL OF YOU!" Mitsuko shouted which made the crowd flinch. She sighed deeply and walked inside the castle with her vampire friends following her from behind. Everyone stepped aside allowing the future Queen walk with her friends
"M-mitsuko?" Hojo asked
"Mitsuko, what happened?" Soha asked
"...we need to talk" Mitsuko said as she looked down a bit and turned back to normal
"Of course we need to talk. You have a lot of explaining to do and...I guess I do too" Hojo said as he looked away with his injured eye. Mitsuko followed her parents while the vampires shifted into bats and clinged onto Mitsuko's armour
"Now...what the fuck was that?" Hojo asked
"Those vampires attacked because someone told them too. All because of her jealousy and power" Mitsuko said
"Excuse me?" Hojo asked and Ari shifted back to normal
"It was the King who ordered the attack and I...obeyed" Ari said
"The King? Do you know where his Kingdom is?" Hojo asked
"Of course..." Ari said as she trembled slightly
"But we can't just attack them yet...if that's what you're thinking" Mitsuko said
"Yeah and especially because that asshole is hard to beat" Nitski said and shifted back to normal
"S-so what should we do about him?" Hojo asked
"Probably get the humans and vampires to work together" Nitski said
"Humans and vampires?!" Hojo exclaimed
"Hojo...please calm down" Soha said
"But Soha this is nonsense! This might be a trap!" Hojo said
"Shut up old man! Listen these are my friends...well...except for her. She is...just someone I know. Anyways they were the ones that took care of me and...Matsuri is the person I love. She saved me from those vampires. If it weren't for her...then I wouldn't be here" Mitsuko said
"She's important to you...right?" Soha asked
"Of course she is! I love her! She saved my life and I...I really...love her" Mitsuko said as she blushed a bit and trembled since she remembered Matsuri's injuries
"Are you sure this isn't the curse?" Hojo asked. Mitsuko's eyes widen and growled
"Of course not! I know you may think this is a curse but it isn't! I really do love her! And she loves me too! She's done so much for me and...has almost risk her life to protect this Kingdom. Can't you see that these vampires aren't monsters? I've lived with them for three weeks...and I noticed that they have feelings. They also have emotions like humans. They only want to live a normal life without hiding and being afraid of humans. If we can try and get along with them. Then maybe we can live in a much more peaceful place where everyone can get along" Mitsuko said
"Do you really think that'll work? Not all vampires are going to accept this" Hojo said
"Yes. I understand that there will be some that won't agree with this but...there are a few vampires that are suffering because of this. We have to take them in and make them feel welcomed" Mitsuko said. Hojo only groaned as he was processing what his daughter was saying
If this keeps up...then we'll be wiped out for sure
"...are you sure about this?" Hojo asked
"If we can get along with these vampires then we both can help each other out. Vampires can get us some resources and in return...we can just them something they want" Mitsuko said
"You mean trade our blood?" Hojo asked
"Well us vampires don't really attack another of humans. We store blood inside of us and use it for powers" Juhin said
"Unless it's a weak vampire with no power. They mostly drink blood very often" Nitski said
"...are you sure this isn't a trap?" Hojo asked
"Well...if you want your people to keep dying then go ahead and do your own thing. It'll be difficult to get to the King without our help. Besides...you messed with a vampire too. We know that curse. That is from our auntie" Nitski said
"So you know her" Hojo said
"Yes and now explain how did you end up with that curse?" Nitski asked
"I'm not going to explain everything but...I was abused as a kid. That's when she decided to appear in my life and told me that she could give me power. In return...I had to give her my wife" Hojo said. The group only turned to look at the woman and back to the King
"Seriously?" Juhin asked
"I am not lying. That vampire gave me the power but I had to give her my wife for some reason and I did. Anyways this isn't the time to be talking about that. We need to deal with this situation" Hojo said
"But first we need to send a message to our friends and wait for a response from Matsuri when she wakes up" Juhin said
"Well Mitsuko we'll be off and we'll take care of this slut for you..." Nitski said and glared at Ari. Ari flinched and clenched her fists tightly
"Let's go" Juhin said. The two vampires took the injured vampire away while Mitsuko stayed behind with her parents
"I'll be going now..." Mitsuko said
"Where will you be going?" Soha asked
"My girlfriend...is hurt. I need to be with her. I just...want to be with her" Mitsuko said as she walked away
"Mitsuko" Hojo said but Mitsuko ignored him. He sighed and felt a tap on his shoulder
"Maybe...we should let her be. Everyone has had a tough day" Soha said
"You're right" Hojo said

"Th-that was terrifying..." Himeko said and trembled
"This was a crazy party" Sen said
"Do you know what happened to them?" Vix asked
"No clue. Maybe Matsuri's cousins know something. I mean they were with them...or well kinda" Harumin said
"We need to find them" Mei said
"Are you crazy? What if other vampires show up?" Vix asked
"But they should be gone by now" Himeko said
"Yeah they're gone" Nitski said
"Hey Nitski. What happened to Shai and Yuzucchi?" Harumin asked
"Them? Well...they're resting" Juhin said
"Their bodies must've been tired from all that power...especially since they're both Queen vampires" Nitski said
"Queens?" Himeko and Mei asked in unison
"Yes and just like Matsuri they're bodies get damaged whenever they use their power. I'm surprised that they're still alive. They're half humans and that means they're somewhat weaker. Matsuri is a pureblood vampire and she is able to use her powers. Though...she still has a lot to learn" Nitski said
"Can we see them?" Mei asked
"I'm sorry but they really need to rest. I'm not sure when they'll wake up but I hope they're okay once they wake up" Nitski said
"And it's best if we get going. Remember we have to send the message" Juhin said
"Right. We're leaving" Nitski said as she started walking away with Juhin and Ari. Harumin turned around and saw Maruta
"Hey Maruta!" Harumin said catching her attention
"Oh hi Harumi. Do you need something?" Maruta asked
"U-uh have you seen my sister?" Harumin asked
"Yes. She told me that she's going to the forest and wait for her girlfriend to wake up" Maruta said
"Guess she got really hurt..." Harumin said
"Do you know which direction?" Mei asked
"Wh-what? Why would you want to go too?" Maruta asked
"Because we need to see them" Himeko said
"Excuse me? Them?" Maruta asked slightly confused
"Our girl-"
"Friends! They want to see their friends. The blonde and the white haired girl. Yuzu and Shai" Harumin said
"Oh! Well I mean...Micchan told me not to tell anyone. Especially you two" Maruta said
"Why not?" Mei asked
"She never told me why. She just said not to..." Maruta said
"Maybe she is just protecting us before we run off on our own and end up getting attacked" Harumin said
"Maybe it's best to wait until morning Mei. You'll get to see her soon" Vix said as he patted her shoulder. Mei clenched her fists but let out a sigh
"I guess you're right..." Mei said
"It won't be so bad. We just need to rest then we can wake up and go see her" Vix said trying to comfort her
"Then it's best to go to bed right now so you could wake up early" Maruta said
"Let's get to bed already" Himeko
"Eh? Right now?" Sen asked
"Yes. Besides...I think I'm getting a little bit tired" Himeko said
"You two really want to see them" Maruta said
"Because we care about them" Mei said as she looked down a bit
"And they really care about them" Harumin said slightly nervous
I guess they're really in love with them which is sorta surprising. I've never seen Mei with that expression before
"Anyways I think we'll go to bed now. Let's go Meimei" Himeko said as she walked away with Mei
"Wow...are they really close friends with them?" Maruta asked
"Hehe yeah. You could say that" Harumin said and laughed a little
"Well we should probably go to our parents. They might be looking for us" Sen said
"Right. We'll see you tomorrow morning Harumi" Vix said
"Okay. Bye you two" Harumin said
"Bye Harumi" Vix and Sen said. Harumin smiled and looked at Maruta
"Do you want me to take you to bed?" Maruta asked as she giggled
"Yeah if you don't mind. I mean...I-I'm sorta afraid" Harumin said slightly nervous
"Don't worry. It's okay. I'll take you to your room, princess" Maruta said as she held her hand out. Harumin held her hand and blushed a bit
"Uh...do you think big sis will be okay on her own?" Harumin asked slightly worried
"Your sister is really brave and strong..." Maruta said
"And I wish I was more like her..." Harumin said and looked a bit down. Maruta looked at her and smiled softly
"You don't have to be like her. Just be yourself" Maruta said
"But...my father always talks about being useful or something like that" Harumin said
"Don't let them change you, Harumi. You should do what you love. Just like Micchan is doing what she wants and...she's happy with Matsuri" Maruta said slightly upset which Harumin noticed
"M-maruta...do you like...big sis?" Harumin asked. Maruta's eyes widen as she trembled slightly. She forced a smile and looked at Harumin
"Yes...I do" Maruta said softly
"A-are you hurt?" Harumin asked
"A little...yes" Maruta said
"Then...why haven't you told big sis about your feelings?" Harumin asked
"Because...I'm her best friend. It does hurt seeing her with someone else but...I want her to be happy. I haven't seen her happy since...forever. She would cry all the time in my shoulder and I would be by her side to comfort her. Now that she has her vampire girlfriend...Micchan is happy. And I'll be supporting her as a friend no matter what" Maruta said
"Wow...I'm sorry" Harumin said
"It's okay. I'm fine. And Harumi..." Maruta said
"Hm? Yes?" Harumin asked as she looked at her
"Please keep this a secret between us" Maruta said
"Of course" Harumin said as she nodded
"Thank you" Maruta said
