jaebeom walks out of his house, smiling when he walks into jinyoung's arms and gives him a hug.

"my handsome boy," jinyoung says, rubbing the back of jaebeom's head and giving a quick kiss behind his ear.

"nyoungie," jaebeom says softly and whines into jinyoung's shoulder.

"let's go to school, baby." jinyoung pulls away from jaebeom and grabs his hand to pull him off the porch.

"you look so cozy today, let's skip school and cuddle," jaebeom suggests, wishing he could just bury his face in jinyoung's sweater and lay in his arms all day.

"you have a test, beomie," jinyoung whines back just how jaebeom was whining just to tease him.

jinyoung watches jaebeom's expression and physical stature in general turn into his usual hard persona that stays on when they're at school or out. he has a reputation to uphold and he likes it that way.

people watch the couple walk into school. they're holding hands and sharing a pair of airpods. they're listening to a podcast but no one assumes that because they think lowly of jaebeom. but he doesn't care. he does well in classes but doesn't tell anyone until he's in jinyoung's bed and getting kisses all over his face because of how proud jinyoung is.

"a guy invited me to sit with him and his friends at lunch, so that's where we're going to start eating, okay?" jaebeom nods as he leans against his locker behind him.

"who?" jaebeom

"his name is mark, uh, tuan, i'm pretty sure? he's my partner in a few of my classes and he's pretty nice."

jaebeom nods and jinyoung smiles because he knows if they were alone, jaebeom would be pouting because he likes just the two of them having lunch together.

"we should all hang out after school," one of mark's friends, jackson, suggests at the end of lunch. bambam, mark's absolutely adorable boyfriend, excitedly agrees and gets everyone else to because they can't say no to such a cutie.

jaebeom stares at jinyoung and he knows his jaebeomie just wants to cuddle at his house.

but jaebeom is a good sport and they go to jackson's shockingly large house. jaebeom doesn't care. he's tired, sleepy, and just wants to be with jinyoung, so he moves jinyoung's arm, puts it around his shoulders, and leans into him.

jinyoung chuckles and uses his hand to play with jaebeom's hair. youngjae is the first to notice and smiles because no one ever gets to see the jaebeom lim like that.

"tell them to stop looking at me," jaebeom mumbles to jinyoung but they all hear him and chuckle. other than bambam, he's asleep in mark's lap.

"aw but you're so cute, beomie."

jaebeom falls asleep while the rest of them talk. he had a long day and no longer cares about anyone else, other than jinyoung, of course.

when jinyoung leaves, claiming that he should get jaebeom to his house so that they can cuddle as he doesn't want an upset jaebeom on his hands tomorrow because he didn't cuddle. plus, he would always rather curl up with jaebeom, read a book or watch some movies, he so doesn't mind leaving.

"i love you, baby, so much," jinyoung tells his boyfriend, rubbing jaebeom's cheek with his thumb and peppering light kisses all over his face.

"i love you," jaebeom says softly, closing his eyes and relishing in the kisses coming from his favorite person, "love nyoungie."
