"mark, let's hang out. you never want to go out with us," jackson complained to his friend before he could quickly leave school like he usually does.

"when?" mark asks, looking at his phone to check the time.

"now. can i get a ride with you and we can meet up with everyone else? we're supposed to hang out anyway."

mark gives in. he can't really keep it a secret forever. so jackson follows mark out to his car, and when jackson turns to put his backpack in the backseat, he sees the car seat.

"why do you have a kid's car seat?" jackson asks, chuckling lightly but he's pretty confused.

"we have to go pick up my daughter," mark says, tapping on the steering wheel nervously, "i'll explain when we're with everyone else. but my mom watches her while i'm at school."

jackson nods because he's always been understanding. they don't talk on the way there, jackson trying to figure out if his daughter is real or just a joke and if she is real, how old is she?

mark goes inside when they get to his parent's house. he walks out with a young girl in his arms and a plush hello kitty backpack on.

she stares at jackson as mark buckles her into her seat. she's holding an elephant plushie in her arms, keeping it close to her.

"daddy," she says quietly because she's very shy and new people aren't her favorite.

"that's jackson, baby, he's daddy's friend," mark tells her, making sure her hands are in his lap so he can close the door.

"she's older than i expected," jackson tells mark when he starts pulling away from the house.

"... yeah, i know. her name is lily. she's 3," mark tells him before remembering to ask where they're meeting.

they don't go far, not giving mark much to try to figure out how to explain when he's with all of his friends.

jackson waits while mark gets lily out of the backseat before the three of them go into the diner together. he sees his everyone look confused as he walks over behind jackson.

"why do you have a kid with you?" jinyoung asks, not that he's upset. she's a cutie and he loves kids.

"um this is a my daughter lily," he tells them, fixing her elephant plushie before it falls. he sits down, letting her sit next to him with the wall on her other side.

they don't ask questions. they accept the girl and surprisingly, she immediately tries to get to jaebeom. she plays with his hair when he lets her sit on his lap.

mark is surprised because he doesn't remember the last time she got to close to someone so quick. but it makes him happy, not that he would admit that he has a crush on jaebeom and his daughter getting along with the man helps a lot.

lily giggles as she steals one of her dad's french fries from his plate.

"where do my fries keep going?" he asks, looking around, purposely looking over her head, acting as if he can't see her, "i don't know but these tater tots look really good."

he takes one from lily's plate and she jumps to grab his hand, "daddy!"

"what? is this yours?" he asks, leaning down to pop the tater tot in his mouth, smiling at her while she whined.

jaebeom doesn't know why he feels the way he does while he watches mark interact with his daughter. he hadn't even know mark had a daughter until 20 minutes about but it's the cutest thing he's ever seen. well, he has had a crush on mark for a while but this is surprising.
