NOT THIS CHAPTER THOUGH :D
I would also like to apologize for typos, I do try to catch them when I reread the chapter but I don't always >.<

When Lance met back up with the Paladins, they all had their eyes on him. Well, all except Keith who was a little bit occupied.

They were all at the beach, swimming around and trying to keep their eyes off of Keith. Lance joined the group grumbling under his breath. He took off his t-shirt and sat down on the beach next to Shiro. Then sun was high in the sky, which meant is was around midday. Lance had a sinking feeling that those galrans were going to be next to his boyfriend all day.

"Upset?" Shiro said once he heard Keith's laugh.

"A bit," Lance muttered, bitting the inside of his cheek in annoyance. The worst part was that Keith looked like he was actually having fun. He had a bright smile on his face as he and the galrans wrestled on the beach together.

"They're playing to his interests," Pidge noticed, moving to sit next to Lance. "They're warming him up before going in."

"How 'warmed up' do you think he is?" Lance asked bitterly, looking at them.

They just pointed at the group. Malikr had his hand on Keith's shoulder as the group stood and talked.

"Can I leave?"

"You know the rules, we all have to stay at watch them," Pidge replied, laying back into the sand. "I suppose you could distract yourself."

Lance's eyes lit up. "Beach volleyball?"

Pidge's eyes narrowed. "No."

Two minutes later Hunk and Lance were pulling the equipment to set up out of the storage shed next to the surfboards. Once the net was set up, they started to pick teams.

"Sorry Shiro," Adam said, kissing his fiancé's cheek before moving to stand next to Lance. "I want to be on the winning team."

"Hey, that's not fair. You guys should at least take Romelle!" Pidge said, causing the Altean to blush at her lack of knowledge of the Earth sport.

"Fine, we'll take Romelle," Allura said, "I'm sure she'll grow to be a pro at it soon enough anyway." Allura had learned the game on the Castle of the Lions, and she had picked it up fast.

Shiro, Hunk, Pidge and Coran were on the other side, with Lance, Allura, Romelle, and Adam having their backs turned to Keith and the galrans (for Lance's sake).

Then the ball was served by Pidge, who for being so short had a stupidly fast serve. Lance was able to drop to his knees and hit the ball up, which was then set by Adam and spiked by Allura.

The girl had an arm. Once the ball hit the sand, she turned to Romelle and said, "See? Easy."

"Okay, come to the center like teenage girls in the gym!" Adam said, clearly already having too much fun. They group laughed and obliged, the two alteans a little confused.

The game continued after, Lance serving this time. He could feel eyes on his back. He turned to look over his shoulder to see Keith staring at him. The galrans looked thoroughly annoyed.

Lance smirked at him before turning and serving the ball.

The other team hand no chance of even reaching the ball. Lance's team met in the middle.

"Hey, can I join?" Keith asked, startling Lance a little as he felt a hand on his arm.

"Uh, well," He glanced at the galrans.

"Don't worry, they'll just sit out and watch."

"Can't you do the same?" Lance asked.

"Why? Scared of a little competition McClain?" Keith smirked, crossing his arms.

"Maybe," Lance admitted. "You're not exactly bad at this."

Keith hummed in response. Then he turned to Shiro's team. "Coran, you're off."

"Don't have to tell me twice," The old altean replied, stepping away from the game and to the side line.

The group laughed as Keith joined Shiro's side, fist bumping his (basically) brother. He turned back to Lance, getting ready for Lance to serve the ball. He leaned over slightly, hands folded in one another in the correct position. The galrans took a seat on the side line, not looking too happy but putting up with it.

Lance served the ball.

Keith was fast. He had always been. So Lance wasn't surprised when he reached the ball and hit it up, allowing Shiro to spike it. He was met by Adam on the other side who hit it up, which was then hit by Romelle (who was catching in remarkably fast) and then hit by Allura to the other side.

The rounds continued on, both teams scoring points. Keith and Lance had their eyes on each other most of the time. What pleased Lance the most was that Keith wasn't giving those galrans the time of day. His entire attention and focus on Lance.

It was game point, tensions were high. Keith had this stupid smirk on his face that Lance just wanted to kiss off, but Keith was over there, on the other side of the net.

Pidge served the ball. Romelle dove, Allura set the ball, Adam spiked. Hunk hit it up, Shiro hit it up again, Pidge ran forward and set it up for Keith to spike. Lance dove, his knees hitting the sand roughly as he hit the ball up, Allura setting it.

Romelle spiked.

The other team missed.

The pure joy on her face from her first point scored was absolutely ecstatic. She turned and jumped on Allura, cheering as the other laughed. Adam smiled and started clapping.

Lance went up to the net to high five everyone. Keith met him there.

"Rematch?"

The galrans groaned. "Please no."

Keith narrowed his eyes. "I'm sorry? Are you not having fun?"

Etharel shook his head as the other three stayed silent.

"Then leave," Keith said, smiling after and turning back to Lance, going under the net to meet him on the other side.

"Okay boys, time's up," Bob said, floating down the stairs, sending a knowing look to the couple. The galrans stood, glaring at Lance as they all left.

He waved at them. As they disappeared up the stairs. Keith wrapped his arms around Lance's neck, pulling himself closer to his boyfriend.

"That was horrible. I never want to be forced apart from you again," Keith muttered as Lance's arms wrapped around his waist.

The other Paladins snuck away and up the stairs, giving the couple privacy.

"Do you believe me yet?" Keith asked. "That I'm not going to leave you?"

Lance smiled at him, "I do."

Keith snorted. "You sound like we're getting married."

Lance froze for a second. "So what if we did?"

Keith's eyes widened, then he smiled. "One day." Then he kissed Lance.

Instead of thinking further, Lance let himself get lost in the kiss.

One day, he thought as his tongue slipped past Keith's lips. Soon.
