Damian took out his suitcase and pulled out a case. It took up half of the whole suitcase. He entered a combination in it and then opened to reveal his uniform. He looked over to see Jon zipping up his jacket.
"And you sure we won't get caught?" Jon asked.
"Positive." Damian replied, stripping off his shirt. Jon looked at his scarred back.
As Damian quickly changed, Jon opened their window. A rush of winter wind blew in.
"Geez. It's really cold out." Jon noted.
Damian finished lacing up his boots and tucked a blade into his belt. "Ready."
Damian was sitting on Jon's back, legs crossed, scrolling on his phone with one hand, the other on Jon's shoulder so he wouldn't fall off.
Jon had only gotten used to flying a few weeks ago. Flying, it was a 15 minute route. The city came into view.
"I'm going to land over there." Jon said, pointing to a tall building. Damian put his phone down and tucked it into his utility belt. He held onto Jon's shoulders and jumped off onto the roof. Damian messed with his watch and a hologram popped up. It located a car crash on the outskirts- not far from them. According to his data, emergency services were on their way.
"Let's go, magic carpet." Damian muttered, zooming in on the coordinates.
"I don't know how I feel about that..." Jon said, jumping up into a levitation. Damian jumped up onto his back and pulled up the hologram map.
"It's a bad crash." Damian said.
Jon dropped down and they landed in the snow on the hill by the highway.
"I'll direct traffic." Damian said, running off, away from the highway walls. Jon jumped down and found someone pinned in the car.
"Hey!" One man with a bruised eye shouted. "My wife's stuck in there! She in the passenger side."
Jon nodded and ran around the car to the passenger side. It looked like the car had rolled.
Damian cracked a glow stick from his belt and directed traffic.
Jon picked up the car and looked at Damian. "I don't know what to do!" he shouted. "Shoot." He cursed.
Jon ripped the door open and let a very frantic lady with a head wound out of the car. They could finally hear police sirens.
"Maybe move the cars out of the way!" Damian shouted. "Duh." He said to himself.
Jon hefted the second car out of the way, consolidating them into one lane.
A figure appeared at the other side of the car. Nightwing.
"So how's school going?" He asked. "Sneaking out already?"
Damian sighed. "Hi, Nightwing."
Jon pointed at the cars. "I picked those up."
Dick smiled and ruffled Jon's hair.
"Good job." He looked at Damian. "Now go back to Bayview before I tell your parents."
"Fine." Damian sighed, putting a hand on Jon's shoulder. "Up, up, and away."
Damian felt the wind bite his face all the way back to school. They crawled into the window and shivered.
"Next time." Damian said, rubbing his cheeks with his gloved hands. "We take a drone."
"Yeah." Jon said, shivering. "Next time."
