"Damian, are you ready?" Bruce asked as his son picked up Titus' leash. Damian shut the door of his dorm room behind him.

"Yes, father,"

Bruce came to pick Damian up because it was important that they still have a relationship. Bruce asked questions about Damian's time at school.

Dinah Lance, Black Canary, began offering counseling to the Teen Titans after a series of traumatic battles. She knew what the vigilante life was like and knew what it is like to keep secrets.

Bruce turned down the radio. It was the news- boring.

"Damian, I wanted to talk to you about something during today's session if that's okay."

"Why can't you tell me now?" Damian asked.

Bruce watched the road ahead. "I think it's best to save it for the meeting."

"Okay." Damian said, turning to look out the window.

When they arrived at the Manor, Damian had a cup of tea in the library with Alfred. Damian noted that he was acting a little bit... off

"Good afternoon, Robin." Dinah said, sitting down in a chair by the fireplace. Damian sat across from her.

"Good afternoon, Black Canary."

Bruce knocked on the doorway and he took a seat.

"Father's been acting weird." Damian said, looking at Bruce. Titus lay obediently at Damian's feet.

"There's something we need to tell you." Dinah started. She took a moment to compose how to tell Damian. "Talia is looking for you."

Damian looked at his father, blood drained from his face. Talia Al Ghul was the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul- leader of the League of Assassins and maternal grandfather of Damian. Ra's was killed by Deathstroke and the League fell. Talia had been building it up and intended on bringing Damian back. Bruce looked at his son.

"We want you to lay low." Bruce said.

"Lay low?!" Damian asked. "I could hurt Jon if she finds me! She's twisted, father. She would hurt the people I care about just to get to me."

Titus perked up and placed his head on Damian's knee. Damian stood up. "Not now, Titus." But Titus followed the boy out of the library. Bruce didn't need to ask where his son was going.

Damian was at the monitor, pulling up files on his mother and researching her recent movements. He turned on surveillance in the dorm room to see Jon typing on his laptop.

Bruce walked out of the elevator. "C'mon, Damian." His father said.

Damian turned around in the chair. "Where are we going?"

"Back to school."

Damian slid off of the chair and followed his father to the elevator. They ascended to the Manor level and got into Bruce's car. They drove back in relative silence.

"She could kill him." Damian said.

"I know." Bruce said.

When they got to campus, Bruce walked Damian back to his door.

"Hello, Beloved."

Damian stopped. There was Jon- knife at his throat and his mother.

Talia.
