It was spring.

That meant the birds were chirping cheerfully and the flowers were blooming, especially the Tsukiyama's roses.

Her small figure was seen around the garden, fingers tangling with the roses as she sat on the swing.

"Ah! Y/N! There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you!", Matsumae huffed,--clearly, out of breath-- walking over to the maiden until the two were only inches apart.

"What seems to be the problem, Matsumae?", she asked, concerned.

She didn't need to question that.

Master Shuu needed her, again.

Ever since they found out she had the same scent as Kaneki, they immediately took her to the household. Everyone gleamed with joy as they saw her, knowing they won't have to deal with their master's gourmet cravings. He didn't eat her, no. He just inhaled the tasty aroma of her scent. He didn't want to eat her because she was so loyal to the Tsukiyama family and she's also done a lot for them, especially risky ones. Not only that, but a certain someone had developed feelings for the young lady-- without her knowing, of course.

She sighed quietly, "I-I'll be going now, don't worry."

She stood up the seat and walked past her. Opening the doors to the mansion, she saw Kanae.

Or she has known as, Karren.

The two just stood there, staring at each other with widened eyes. Heck, he was surprised she could hold eye contact with someone for that long.

"I-I'm Y/N L/N. I am also known as the G/N. I-It's a p-pleasure to meet you.", she introduced timidly in front of the Tsukiyama family, along with Matsumae and Kanae.

For a moment there, the Doves felt relieved that they actually caught one of the most agile ghouls. Their relief was soon seized as the men of the Tsukiyama came to take her out.

She was rescued by the Tsukiyama family after she was imprisoned by the Doves for a few days. They helped her break out, in exchange for her service in the household.

Grateful yet reluctant, she agreed, thinking it wouldn't be so bad.

"What do you think of her, son?", Mirumo asked, turning his head to Shuu.

"She smells delightful!", he said, making her flinch.

His answer alone made her spine shiver.

Was that their purpose of saving her? Were they all doing it for the sake of their hunger? Blood boiled through her as she thought of a plan on how to get away from the sick men when suddenly, a bony hand rested on her shoulder.

"Calm down.", was all he said.

"Lead her to her room, Kanae!", the purple-haired man ordered to which the man named Kanae immediately complied.

The walk to her room had an uncomfortable silence.

The clicks of  her shoes could be heard as she tried not to initiate something that she might regret later on.

"This is your room. I hope you'll be of great service for Master Shuu.", he said, with a slight annoyance. Making it sound like she'd better be.

She sighed, she'd have to see him every single day. Well, at least she had a decent room.

...

"Ah, there's my little knight! Y/N! How was your sleep, little one?", the graceful man chuckled as he took the lady's hand. "Come here, come here. We have so much to do today. Kanae, could you get her some outdoor clothes, please?"
