"Edwin, come here!" you called for your husband who was in the living room.
Your baby girl had just turned three months old and Edwin decided that he wanted to take you out for the night so that you could have some peace away from the baby. So, he of course had called the boys over (he didn't trust them on their own but he semi-trusted them as a group) to take care of her while you two were away for the night.
"Yeah, babe?" he came sprinting into your bedroom.
"Which shoes?" you held up two different pairs of shoes, one pair being some nicer sneakers and one pair being some slip-on flats. You hadn't been able to wear heels at all since having the baby because your balance had been off.
"Babe, what even are these?" he took the sneakers and made a disgusted face at them.
"Hey, I like them," you snatched them back.
"Those are the funkiest shoes I have ever seen and not in a good way," he laughed.
"You don't love me," you sniffled. Your hormones were still a little crazy from childbirth.
"Baby, yes, I do," he wrapped you up in a hug.
"No, you don't. You think my clothes are ugly, you probably think I'm fat because I can't lose any baby weight, I haven't put on makeup in four months, you probably think I'm disgusting," you cried on his shoulder.
"I think you are the most wonderful woman who has ever walked this earth," he rubbed your back.
"No, you don't."
"Yes, I do. I will always think that. Nothing you could ever say or do would change my mind on that."
"Thank you," you looked up and kissed him.
"Wear these flats with that red dress you wore the date I proposed." It was his favorite dress, not only because he loved the way it looked on you but also because he loved the memory attached to it.
"But it hugs my body. All the focus will be on my baby fat," you avoided eye contact with him.
"Which is exactly why I want you to wear it. I want you to show off the fact that you just had a child. I want to show you off because I'm so proud of you."
"I don't deserve you," a tear slid down your cheek which he quickly wiped away.
He walked out of the room so that you could change. As you were changing you heard your baby crying from her crib. You ran into her nursery, not even finishing zipping up your dress.
"Babe, I got this," he walked in behind you and took your daughter from your arms.
"No, babe. It's fine. She's probably hungry," you protested.
"Did you forget something?" he chuckled.
Suddenly you felt a breeze against your back, remembering that you hadn't finished zipping up your dress.
"I'm so stupid," you commented.
"It's not stupidity, it's mommy brain. We've been over this," he said as he zipped up your dress with his free hand.
A few minutes later, you were both finally ready to go. The only thing that was missing was your baby sitters.
"Yo, what's up, baby momma!" Zion greeted as he and the rest of the boys came through the door.
"Shh! She just fell asleep," you scolded them quietly.
"How are you?" he walked over and hugged you.
"Wonderful," you smiled over at Edwin.
You hugged each of the boys before giving them a list of everything they needed to do and where everything was located.
"Okay, all of her medicines are in the cabinet in the downstairs bathroom if she starts coughing or running a fever. There's diapers and wipes in pretty much (woohoo) every room of the house. There's -"
"Babe, they've got this. I've been over it with them a million times," Edwin reassured you as he kissed your forehead.
"Yeah, Y/N. We've got this," Austin agreed with Edwin.
"Okay, we'll see you all in a couple of hours," you gave each of them a goodbye hug and kissed your daughter (who was now napping in her downstairs crib).
A few hours and one romantic dinner date later, you and Edwin had made it home. You quietly unlocked the door, not knowing if the baby was still asleep or not. You made your way to the living room to find Brandon and Nick asleep on a blowup mattress in the floor, Austin asleep on the couch, and Zion asleep in a recliner with your daughter pressed against his chest.
"Just like old times, I guess," Edwin laughed as he walked in behind you.
"Yep, just like old times," you pecked his lips.
