"Babe, are you all ready to go?" Austin yelled as he walked back into the house to collect the last suitcase.
You and Austin loved roadtripping so it was no surprise when he asked if you wanted to go on a cross country road trip from LA back to North Carolina for your one year anniversary.
"Yep, all ready," you said, grabbing the last suitcase before he could.
"Hey, you know that's my job," he tried to take it from you.
"I can do things for myself, ya know," you retaliated.
"Yeah, but I like doing things for you," he gave you a quick kiss before shutting the trunk of the car.
Your roadtrip started out good, until about a half hour in when you wanted to play music.
"Uh, why is not playing anything?" you asked as you tried to figure what was wrong with the aux cord.
Austin tried to fix it as best as he could, considering he was trying to be a safe driver. Eventually, you both came to the conclusion that the aux cord was broken but you were going to stop at the next gas station anyway so you decided to go in and get one while he pumped gas.
You finished getting you and Austin some drinks as well as finding the aux cord and headed to the register to pay for it all.
"That'll be $7.48, ma'am," the guy at the register told you. It was then that you realized you had left your wallet in the car.
"Sir, is it okay if I run out to my car to get my wallet?" you asked.
"Store policy won't allow us to let you leave until this is all paid for," he informed you.
"Well, then, can I call my husband?" you requested.
"Sure," he answered, to which you walked over to an empty corner to call Austin.
