14: Movie Drama (FINISHED)

14. Movie Drama

One ticket line, and one food line later we walked into the theater. Adam was holding my hand which made me smile as we looked around for a place to sit, tonight was a slow night since it was a Saturday and all teenagers were either hanging out with their friends, out on dates or partying.

"Your brother seems nice."

Yeah, only when he is up to something, I thought as I sat down in the back row he pointed to with a tub of popcorn. I kept looking around for my brother to pop up but so far everything seemed ...alright.

I shrugged "He is cool. But, he is still my annoying older brother" I said as I crossed my leg over my knee and offered up the popcorn to Adam, he took some with a smile.

He really was a handsome guy. I could see why he was every girl's crush at school, I was amazed to have a second date with the guy. I hope it is better than our first one, at least we get to give it another go.

The door kept opening and closing as people walked down to the other seats, I opened up the pack of M&M's he had bought and shared them with him as the lights went down and the movie started to play.

We talked as the previews played for upcoming movies, I was interested in him but he wouldn't talk about his family or anything except Basketball and his friends, stuff they did, and trouble they get into.

It made me think about how good it is to have Roman to talk about, I was proud of my brother. He was the best, and his friends are like family now. But, even though I had those guys, my heart was still missing a piece knowing I didn't have a mom to talk to about guys, school, and dreams. I didn't have a dad to help me with science projects, help me with learning to drive or play backyard football with.

Roman had to fill in for those things, and talking about that time of the month with your brother is awkward as hell. Especially when he tries to help out and only gets yelled at for buying the wrong tampons, pads, or Ibuprofen.

You should have heard him with 'the talk' it was really fun for him to try and explain the birds and the bees. So his girlfriend, Viv, explained it to me.

As my thoughts roamed, I felt a hand on my leg. I looked down to find Adam's hand on my knee and his other arm behind my neck. I stiffened a little at this, being a girl who hardly went on dates...I really don't think this was normal for a second date.

It was when Adam's eyes looked into mine and he smirked that I realized he was about to kiss me. I didn't know what to do, I'd never been kissed, and I don't know if I want my first kiss to be with Adam or not. My heart raced as his face neared mine, then I did something that neither he nor I expected.

I dumped a tub of popcorn over his head.

He yelled and stood up as butter and popcorn rained over him, I stood up as quick as possible and made a beeline for the door, I pushed it open and went out into the hall to put my hands on my head and think for a moment.

Oh my God, I just popcorn'd the hottest guy in school.

Adam was out in no time at all, looking at me with a partly confused, partly angry face.

"What was that for?"

"I-I don't know" I stuttered in a confused manner as I wrapped my arms around myself "I don't know if I watch my first kiss to be right now. I mean, I like you a lot, Adam. I really do but, I don't know if I like you enough for that."

I don't know if what I said made sense or not to him but he looked at me with anger and stepped toward me "What do you mean you don't know?" I hesitated and he put his hand on my shoulder and said, "Any girl at that school would die to be in your shoes right no-."
