18: Talk (FINISHED)

18. Talk

When I woke up the next morning, I had two things on my mind.

Cupcakes and Levi Hollworth.

Cupcakes because I had dreamt that I was on a 'cupcake planet' and Levi because of what I had told him the night before. Dear God, I had told him that I was crushing on him, what kind of moron am I?

And school made nothing better, apparently, Adam had spread it around to his friends that his hands had gotten up my skirt in the theater before one of my brother's friends punched him for no reason. Dani was ready to take and stick his basketball up his butt.

I eventually calmed her down and told her not to worry about it, but she kept glaring at the back of his head and making gestures at him every time he looked at her. He looked shocked when she told him to go screw himself.

I'm using nicer words than she did though.

At lunch, Dani and I decided to go sit under the bleachers on the football field. I took my Turkey sandwich out from my backpack that Roman had made me this morning surprisingly and when he handed it to me he kissed my head and sent me off to school with a hug.

I think he has gone insane. He hasn't done that since I was a kid.

Dani frowned at her carrots and celery sticks before looking at me "Will you trade me a half a twinkie for one of these?" she asked with a sad face, it made me laugh.

I threw her a twinkie and she threw me the celery sticks.

We ate in silence for a moment then I let out a sigh and turned to her with a frown "I told Levi I liked him" I rushed out with a wince.

She raised an eyebrow: "Like him? Oh dear Lord, Katie, don't tell me you told him you like like him!" she said wide-eyed, causing me to bite my lip and causing her to groan: "You idiot! You-What happened to the never telling him!" She then proceeded to hit me with the wrapped Twinkie.

"Keep hitting and I'll take it back." She pulled back the Twinkie and held it away from me as I rolled my eyes. "He talked to me last night on the way home and ...I don't know why I told him how I felt, I guess I am just tired of hiding my true feelings about him," I told her in seriousness, she frowned and patted my shoulder.

"Personally, I am team, Levi. Adam is a dickhead," she said, making me laugh as she shrugged, then a smirk was brought onto her face, "Oh my God. You two would have a cute nickname. Levtie. Or Katvi," a thinking face was brought on making me groan in annoyance.

"Please. He probably didn't even think about-" I stopped when I heard walking above us on the bleachers. I looked up to see two cheerleaders sitting there talking, Dani glared up at them and I stood up to leave.

Grabbing my backpack I heard "Can you believe Adam is single? I wonder if he will take me to prom!" Which made me roll my eyes and fling my backpack over my shoulder.

"Whatever. Just don't be like that Morrinon girl and jump into his backseat." I froze hearing those words, Dani was biting her jaw as she looked up at the girls above us. I shook my head and signaled for her to come on.

I walked around the back of the bleachers and suddenly heard the two girls screaming, I turned and looked back at Dani to see her literally crawling through the open bleacher space after the two girls.

"Say something like that again about Katie and it will be more than a fist hitting that clown face of yours!" She threatened as she pulled herself through and ran off the bleachers after them.

I groaned as I ran around the bleachers and after Dani "Don't kill them! Dani, you'll go to Juvie!" I screamed as I ran off the football field and onto the grass of the high school to tackle my friend to the ground before she killed the two cheer girls.
