~Wind whisked around me, it felt weird to be walking once again, though I knew this was but a dream. All I had to do was find the apprentice and help her, though i still had no clue how or what clan she would be in. And still, I was mad that the fox had not shown me the one who had stolen my voice.
As I wandered blindly around the fields a scent hit the roof of my mouth, rabbit, but with it came the scent of Windclan! 'Windclan?! Fox- this had better not be Foxpaw.'"But Blackheart, it is not all of Windclan who harmed you, it was just Whitestar and his gang of true followers." The voice came from the back of my mind as if it were not even there
'You better be right...'
Now the apprentice was running towards me the rabbit just out of her reach, my hiding place was no longer of use now for for she would scent me.
'Foxpaw.' I said as she nearly passed me. 'Foxpaw!' I said a little louder, this made him turn and look.
" W-who are you? Why are you in my dream?"
'I am Blackheart- a Starclan warrior, and I have come to speak with you,'
"Why me? Why not Echowhisper? She is the medicine -cat, I-I'm not even a warrior yet."
'Because, it is you who needs my help, not Echowhisper. And you must never tell anyone of these meetings.'
" Wait so this is not the only time we will meet? There will be more meetings?!"
'Yes, as long as you need help I will meet with you.'
" Okay... But- just this last question- why doesn't your mouth move when you speak?"
This question made me flinch, I would never speak again, not with my true voice anyway.
'Long ago, my voice was stolen from me. I looked at my paws as I spoke just before I died, an enemy clans leader attacked our camp, I was out hunting when I saw them in our territory, and, when I sounded the alarm...'
I felt as though I wished I really had died that night, Whitestar would pay for this.
"please continue!" Foxpaw said excitedly as though he didn't see my pain.
'Okay... Well th-they caught me and, well I don't know what they did but when I woke up in the medicine den my legs were broken and my voice was gone...'
"wow.. I didn't know that a clan leader would do that... Heck not any clan cat that I know! Especially not my father, he's the best warrior in our clan! And he would never be like that!"
'Who is your father?'
"Well, he's our clan leader of coarse! You should know that since your in Starclan right?"
I had to stop my self from snarling at that, this was the son of my enemy! The one who caused all this suffering! My anger slid out more then I'd hoped, and the Windclan cat noticed.
"Are you okay?! You look like your in pain, can Starclan cats feel pain? Should I do something?!"
At least he hadn't realized it was anger- not pain that I felt, but I used this to my advantage.
'yes we do feel pain, I- I'm sorry' I sunk my claws into the earth and squeezed my eyes tightly as to not show that I was not truly in pain 'my chest- It just- it does this when-'
I had to stop mid-sentence as true pain hit me, for real this time, I would have yowled had I a voice.
" do you need help?!! Are any other starclan cats around?!"
'NO!' I grunted quickly in my mind 'I must go now but I will come again tomorrow, promise!'
I wobbled to my feet and tried to run away from him, it was my spine that was hurting, as if Whitestar was clawing it again.
Images flashed through my head like a flashback.
Navy-blue eyes stared me in the face, I was being held down and many other cats surrounded me, my body was convulsing repeatedly. They spun me over on to my stomach, exposing my back to the cat with navy-blue eyes. Claws scraped my spine yowls of pain escaped my mouth. What was happening?! Why couldn't I move! I was rolled back onto my back, causing dirt to get into my new wounds, the cat pinning me down was Whitestar, but a dark shadow was in his eyes as he looked down at me, it was like a different cat was using him as a puppet, now, he had weakened me to let this- this thing do the rest of the work, using his body...
