"I never said I didn't want him back ok? But Poison doesn't, and you know that!", a guy wearing flowers in his hair yells at Jet, the guy is a recruitsman for the killjoys. And he isn't happy about some of the new arrangements. The building they're in was abandoned long ago, it looked as if it was once a flourishing restaurant. Some old pictures and even a grade A rating hung up on one of the walls. It's quite spacious now since most of the booths had been moved up against the windows to make a protective field of sorts. The sign outside has been replaced with a new one that says, 'Killjoy recruiting office'. All of the killjoys were inside, deciding on what needed to be done for the time being. "Look Cheetah, it's temporary. Something came up and we need some more recruits.", Jet says calmly, "We had three but two of them didn't stick around. At this point we only have eight killjoys, and it originally was only five of us till you and Killer Tiger came along, as well as our newest recruit Star chip. Even with eight of us, there isn't enough people to fight off this threat we have now. Poison can't fight until he gets better, Star is too pacifist, not to mention Kobra and Ghoul have been at each other's throats latel. So it's only me and Blood fighting on the battlefield cause you and your partner are too busy looking for recruits while the others have their problems.". The guy called Cheetah, full killjoy name Killer Cheetah, sighs and looks at a paper with some names written on it, "How many of these people are relevant to recruit? Did you even interview their files with Tiger?". Jet nods once, still keeping calm as always, "Most, if not all of them, are temporary recruits. Don't think too hard on this, Cheetah.". Flower sits at an empty booth usually used for interviews, "I know you're in charge of recruiting and all, and that you and the other killjoys are really busy, but if you needed me and Tiger you could have asked us to come over. We don't always need new recruits to replace those who can't or won't fight so we can fight if you need us to.". The taller man sits on the opposite side, his eyes firm and truthful, "It's not that, Cheetah. It's not because people can't or won't fight. And it's not like we don't need you or Tiger. Because trust me, we do. The reason we need new recruits is because this threat is too big for even the eight of us all together to fight off. We need help and I swear, if Poison were here, I'm sure he'd disagree. He never wants help, but that isn't an option at this point so if he has any say in this don't listen to him. We can't fight alone this time, and even if we could, it wouldn't turn out well...". The sun beams through the booths set against the windows, light filling the room slowly as the sun rises. The two continue their conversation and on the other hand, nearby Blood and Killer Tiger are at a table playing cards as they wait for Flower and Jet to finish up with the recruit arrangements. "We've already had 5 games and you've won all of them, why are they taking so long?", Tiger says looking up from his cards. Blood looks up as well with his usual saddened look, "Be patient, they need to take the time to figure out this situation. It's not gonna go any faster unless Poison suddenly walks in with a plan good enough to stop our newest threat.". "Right, but this is boring.", the cards fall from Tiger's hands and he buries his face in his empty palms. Blood sets his cards down and summons a small orb of blood. The orb gleams a bit in the light let in by the windows, he looks toward the light as he thinks for a moment. The orb vanishes suddenly, and Blood faces Tiger looking slightly emotionless, "What would you like to do then?", he asks blandly. Tiger perks up and looks at him, "How about we go break stuff.". The two recruits men seem not to hear him, Blood just rolls his eyes, "Why would we do that?", "Cause it's fun. Plus I do it to train.", "Yeah, you think so.", "You don't like doing things like that I presume?", "It's Kobra or my brothers thing, I kinda wish I had went to the headquarters and not Ghoul. Pretty sure he and Kobra are already trying to kill each other by now.". Tiger stands up, "Suite yourself Blood, I'm going to go out to train and have fun.". As Tiger walks outside, Blood throws an orb of blood at him, watching as it splashes all over. "Hey what the f---?", Tiger turns around, startling Cheetah and Jet with the curse. Being covered in the red liquid, his eyes dart towards Blood. The other two look at him and Jet smiles slightly, meanwhile Cheetah just laughs a bit. This seems to upset Tiger that they would laugh at him, but he says nothing and exits the building. He continues to walk out and down to the parking lot, a bat lay on the ground near a pile of broken glass. It was his, it even had his name engraved on it. "I hope he knows I was joking when I said I have fun doing this...mostly this sucks.", he says as he picks up the bat while wiping some of the blood off his face with his hand, "Cheetah makes me do all the cleaning up, thanks to him recruiting most of the time. He does all that while I build up the protection field for this place. Oh well.". A few cracks smoothly flow through the air as he breaks the windows of a dead car with his bat, in hopes that it may make a good road block for the entrance of the building. Cars had recently been stalking around and driving near the area and neither him or Cheetah knew who they were or why they were there. But Cheetah has told him before, if they aren't killjoys, they aren't welcome there. Which both of them presumed they weren't and didn't ever let them inside if they were to exit the car. Luckily they never had to defend the building from these strangers, which was a relief. The strangers never even bother to exit their cars anyways or even get within 20 feet of the entrance, but there was yet to be that problem. Tiger pushes the car to the entrance as he thinks about why he should block the entrance off, it was quite hard but after about 12 minutes he's able to get the car to the entrance. The car blocks off the entrance well, and he had no understanding to why he never thought of it before as he looks at his finished work, "Welp, time to see what the others are doing, I guess. There isn't mush to do out here.". With a smile, he walks into the building, seeing that Jet and Blood are preparing to leave the area. "We must be off. Please, just think about the new recruit list guys. I'd say, we're kinda desperate.", Jet says walking out of the door, followed by Blood. Cheetah and Tiger wave them off as they walk away from the building, soon after Cheetah sits at the empty booth and reads over the list, "Well ...this is gonna be a bumpy ride...and I hate those kinds of rides.". Tiger sits across from him, "Why do they even need more people? What exactly did you guys talk about in the first place?", he puts his feet up on the table top, wiping blood off himself with a rag. "Dude, what did you do for him to splat ya?", Cheetah asks with a slight smile. Despite changing the subject, it seems important to ask that before getting into a deep conversation with his partner. In response, Tiger looks at him with a smirk, "I told him training and fun can be in one.". Losing his smile, Cheetah looks down at the papers. The list was a normal lined paper, he begins reading the list of names, "He can't take a joke and you know that, Especially at a time like this.". The other was clueless at this point, "What...?", he asks, tossing the rag over the booth. All he gets back is a shrug from Cheetah, "They didn't bother to tell me. Supposably something has come up and they need help. I mean, we could help but they never bother to call us up. Jet says it's cause we can't fight alone but I honestly think he knows something. Something he probably shouldn't.". Tiger nods and kicks his feet off the table, "I wouldn't expect them to call us up. So why don't we just go there ourselves and find out what it is?", "I dunno Josh...they're secretive people. I don't think they trust us.", "C'mon Ty, don't be a b----. Blood trust us. Heck, I saved him from the BL!", "I'm not saying we shouldn't go. I just...I don't think we should interfere unless we have to.", "You always say that and we never do anything to try and get to them! We always sit back and do nothing but recruit people cause you can't stand up and tell them we wanna fight. Their headquarters is only a mile away from here! We could just walk there right now and tell them we wanna help them! H--- we could even catch up to Blood and Jet if we wanted!". Flower gets up and places the papers down onto the table, an emotionless look in his eyes, "Then you tell them...", he whispers as he walks away, "I already tried...". And as he walks away, Tiger picks up the papers, "Maybe I will...". As he looks over the paper, a name catches his eye and his eyes widen as he reads it a few time. It was to make sure that he saw what he was seeing. That what he read is real, and it was. At the bottom of the page, there's a name that he couldn't help but feel dread about.
