“I don’t know what happened to him, I just know that he was gone when I went out there to help him!”, Kobra shouts out, his tone showing he was puzzled yet resentful. The night sky gleamed over them as they made their way down the only highway for miles, the soft clicking of hooves from Silver's horse rocket was one of the only sounds besides Kobra’s booming voice. Silver was walking beside Kobra while behind them Midnight and Poison rode on Rocket. “What do you think happened to him?”, Silver asks, unlike when they had first met, Silver wasn’t exactly as happy as he was earlier. But Kobra’s shouts didn’t seem to upset him, “Was I talking to you, b----!?”. “Uh, I guess not, but I was just asking, partner.”, Silver says as he smiles a bit. Kobra rolls his eyes and walks a bit ahead while holding his gun up, a turned over van before them. He and the other killjoys pull over their masks, Kobra with his helmet, Silver with his bandana, and both Midnight and Poison with their masks. Kobra walks over the the van and looks inside through the windshield. Inside there was blood, a dead worker, and an abundant supply of weapons. “Holy f---...guys I think this van may have just been a supply truck. There’s guns and all kinds of other weapons in here…and it’s a h--- of a mess in here.”, Kobra lowers his gun and looks back at the others. After halting Rocket, Silver walks over and peeks inside, “Woah nilly, you’re right! But uh...what exactly happened, do ya think?”. It takes a second before Kobra responds, “Well...I’m pretty sure it wasn’t an accident. There’s only one worker in the truck and I’m sure he wouldn’t have drove alone with a load like this, those dumb f---s ain’t that stupid. Especially if it’s something top secret or important to B.L.I.”, he walks around the van, seeing another BL worker dead under the van, “Yeah...definitely not an accident.”. Midnight gets off Rocket and walks over to them, leaving Poison alone on the tall stallion. “Is it safe for us to go inside? I’m sure I can fit in there.”,  Midnight looks inside as she says it. Both the two boys look at each other before looking at her, “Why not. We’ll try to get the doors in the back open.”, Kobra says as he shrugs. Midnight smiles and crawls in through a broken hole in the windshield, which would probably be too complicated and small for Kobra or Silver to fit through due to their height. As she crawls in, the place was more visibly graphic then through the windshield. Guns, knives, and even some small explosives were scattered around, blood covered the passenger seat which held itself above her head. The worker in the back of the van was badly wounded but he wasn’t dead like the guys had thought. “Guys...there’s someone alive in here!”, Midnight shouts as she quickly gets out, backing away from the van afterwards. The other two killjoys are in the back of the truck trying to unjam the back doors, either they had not heard her or they’re ignoring her. She watches as the worker crawls to the windshield and breaks some of it with a gun. All Midnight could do was watch, she had no weapons on her at the moment. As he stepped out, Poison slowly pulled out his gun. The worker sat there kinda staring at Midnight, while she stared back terrified. Midnight hadn’t noticed what Poison did, but even if he had his gun he couldn’t shoot it. His vision was a bit off and hazy, he couldn’t see clearly due to his fever slowly getting worse. In all, he didn’t want to risk shooting the wrong person, so he let his gun slip back into its holster. The worker still sat there, doing nothing at all. “Kobra! S-Silver there’s a-a live worker over here!”, Poison yells out in a slightly hoarse voice. Both the two guys look over and grab out their guns, “B---- get the f--- back!”, Kobra shouts as he rushes around the van. The worker drops the gun he used to break the glass and he raises his hands up, this action immediately takes the four by surprise. Kobra stands beside the van pointing his gun at the worker, while Silver grabbed Midnight and pulled her away from the chaos. “What the f--- are you doing up? Weren’t you dead?”, Kobra asks as he carefully walks in front of the worker. In response, the worker shakes his head and puts his arms to his sides. The other three killjoys watch in silence as Kobra walks closer, intending to possibly intimidate him. “Why aren’t you trying to kill us like the rest of your comrades? I thought B.L.I. hated the killjoys.”, Kobra states boldly, pushing the barrel of the gun to the worker’s chest. The worker shakes his head again and grabs the gun, pushing it slowly away from himself. It wasn’t really obvious at first, but gradually the realization that he was harmless comes into play. Kobra holsters his gun and looks dead at the worker with eyes that read confusion and a sort of anger, “So, you’re um...not like the others? There’s no way, you f---ers always act so wildly and kill any enemy in sight. You’re probably just acting like this cause your friend over there is dead. And you will be too.”. “Now hold your horses just a moment!”, Silver interrupts, “Workers act like that even if they’re alone.”. Kobra turns to Silver, “Well, what if he’s a spy? Trying to get on our side for information, hm? What if this was planted after Ghoul disappeared?”, “Partner, there’s no way even the B.L.I. did something like this! Risking weapons and workers, they sure as h--- aren’t that dumb.”, “How do you know?”, “You said it yourself, this was no accident. And tell me how they would ever conclude that we would ever trust a worker? Plus, he didn’t attack us. So that’s more proof this was done by something else.”. Kobra sighs angrily and looks at the worker, “Why aren’t you attacking us? You have one minute to explain or I’m blowing your head off!”. As all this is happening, Poison just watches being exhausted and annoyed by his younger brother and the new recruits stupidity. “G-Guys that’s quite enough.”, he says in a tired tone, sliding down off the horse and shuddering a bit from being a bit weak, “If h-he could s-say anything, he would h-have spoken b-by now. Silver’s right K-Kobra, B.L.I. would be s-stupid t-to send a spy a-at us. They’d know we’d k-kill them on contact with i-it since B-BL workers always a-attack. But, that d-doesn’t mean we have to trust him.”. And with that said, Poison wobbly makes his way over to his brother and the worker. Coughing a bit, Poison looks at the worker and pulls off the name tag he has on his shirt. The tag has a B.L.I. symbol and it reads, ‘BL\Industries worker #307’. “Huh...usually y-you guys have names, c-correct? Why d-don’t you have one?”, Poison hazily looks over at the worker, feeling his brother’s presence beside him. The worker shrugs and looks into the van’s windshield, he was probably only a few inches taller than Kobra and Poison took notice to this. Observing the worker, Poison notices how strange he was acting. The worker was obviously confused unlike the others, who usually went rabid on the killjoys. This case really puzzled the leader, yet it interested him that any of the workers were harmless. It was also weird that this one didn’t talk, nor did he have a name, “M-Maybe if Kobra doesn’t blow y-your head o-off, you could join u-us o-on the road.”, Poison says shakily, handing the tag back to the worker. Kobra on the other hand, seemed even more upset than before, “What?! How can you trust him?!”, “I d-don’t.”, “Then why the f--- are you letting him come with us?”, “H-He’s harmless. Plus w-we could u-use a-another in our group. Y-You wouldn’t mind him tagging a-along, right guys?”. The leader looks back at the new recruits, and gets a satisfying nod from them each. “Alright then, 307. Y-You’re welcome to c-come w-with us on our road journey.”, Poison says as he walks back over to the others, allowing Silver to help him back up onto the horse next to Midnight again. In a calm manner, Silver and rocket walk past Kobra and 307. Kobra just glares at 307 before catching up to them. A moment later 307 tags along behind them and stays quite silent as he makes progress up to the point where he’s right beside Kobra. Having the worker there kinda makes Kobra uncomfortable, but he didn’t really feel like arguing with Poison. They continue their walk the night for hours, no one speaks or even looks at each other. The silence is disrupted suddenly by Rocket’s whinnying and Silver halts him, looking around the area. A forest laid up ahead, and it looked quite dark and ghastly. “F--- it, let’s go.”, Kobra mumbled under his breath, looking over at his ill brother. The expression on his face changes as he looks at Poison, he walks up to the horse and unmounts him noticing he was just getting worse while being out here. Now carrying Poison on his back, Kobra leads the others into the woods with a brave spirit. A few trees are stained with red, most likely blood if they all had to guess. This doesn't bother them so much, it didn’t seem to be such a big deal that a few trees were bloody. All of them continue on their journey, following a very old looking road through the woods which at the end of the road it appeared there was a way out. An old car stuck out at them after a few minutes off walking, the wreckage was a disaster. The car itself was crushed in at the back even though the front of the car was rammed into the railing the road provided and not the back. With closer inspection, there was a blood trail that went from the driver’s side into the forest of pure darkness. Kobra and Rocket continue to walk as Silver and 307 look at the car, “Guys, let’s go. We gotta keep moving.”. Rocket stops suddenly, his ears twitching and circling in different directions while Midnight looks around seeing that Rocket is alerted. “Guys...I don’t think we’re alone..”, Midnight says looking over at the others, Kobra was still walking with a now sleeping Poison on his back while the other two stood near the road railing investigating the car. Though Kobra stops, looking infuriated. He walks over to Rocket and carefully puts Poison on the horse, him leaning forward on Midnight. Angrily, Kobra stomps over to 307 and Silver, yelling and cursing at them for not following directions. A loud scream echoes through the forest and suddenly Rocket gallops down the road and out of the forest with Midnight clung to him, the girl herself trying her best to keep the lead killjoy from falling off.
