The stallion gallops for a while, Midnight failing in stopping him from advancing down the road. "Rocket please stop! We have to go back to the others!", Midnight cries out as she tries to halt him. For some reason he unusually wasn't listening and usually Midnight could control Rocket. And Rocket never got spooked, not even by a cross fire of bombs. But Midnight soon realizes the horse himself appeared to not be frightened, yet he seemed to be in some sort of panic. The forest disappears behind them as Rocket gallops up to a fork in the road, it seemed the horse wasn't gonna stop. Midnight pulls Poison's arms around herself and holds him more securely with one hand, while using the other to hold the reins of the horse. 'There must have been danger back there.', Midnight thinks as the horse takes a left and slows down to a quickened trot. Eventually after a few minutes, Rocket slows down to a stop. "Rocket that was dangerous!", Midnight says raising her voice just a bit. The stallion looks back at her and neighs, then he looks forward and starts to walk down the road. Though, she wasn't mad at him and never was before. Rocket only did that if there was danger and at least he tried his best to save some of his companions. It wasn't really a big deal, except for the fact that Rocket wasn't gonna walk back or let Midnight go back. Being a fairly smart horse, as Silver states, he wouldn't ever let his friend go back into danger and Midnight knew that was so. Now, for the other problem besides losing the group, Midnight had to care for the ill killjoy leader. He was still leaned against her, his skin quite pale in the slowly rising sun's light. There wasn't much she could do for him, despite wanting to help him. She could try to turn back, but Rocket more than likely would refuse and keep going down the road. "Rocket...if we're leaving them behind we need to at least leave a marker. We don't have to go back, I'm just saying that if you won't we need them to try and find us.", Midnight states, the tall stallion stopping after a few seconds. She hops off him and runs to the fork in the road, grabbing a few rocks out of the dirt and laying them in the middle of the road the horse and her were taking. Then with quickness, she runs back over to Rocket and stands in one of the stirrups, moving Poison to where he could ride on the horse alone without falling off. The sky slowly brightens as the girl and horse walk down the road in silence beside the clopping of Rocket's hooves. Poison wakes up abruptly later into the journey and starts coughing harshly, looking around hazily. Midnight looks over at him and smiles a bit, "Hey you're awake.", she says. He looks back and then notices no one else there, "Where d-did everyone go?", he asks in a roughly hoarse voice, coughing slightly after speaking. At this moment, she didn't want to tell him what happened. For some reason she felt that it would make him worried, but he probably was already since he saw only her there. "Rocket ran off with us two and the others kinda got left behind. Rocket wouldn't go back.", Midnight says, being as honest as the truth itself. The ill man stares off down the road ahead of them, "W-Where are we going?", he says, as if he were completely ignoring what she said. "I'm not sure yet, usually I just follow Rocket. Silver always says that Rocket knows his way around, so when we're lost or something we let Rocket lead us around.", she responds with, kinda glad that Poison ignored what she had said, even if she knows he heard her. Being skeptical, Poison sits up in the saddle, "How l-long h-have we been on t-the road...?", he asks in a more gravelly voice than before, going into a fit of coughing afterwards. The younger girl walks a bit faster as she looks up ahead, seeing some sort of building, "I'm not sure, but I think we may have found somewhere to explore.". She suddenly takes off running down the road towards the building, her sights set straight ahead. The wind rushes at her quickly and the loud sound of her boots hitting the road occupy her hearing. If Poison had any objections to what she was doing, she probably wouldn't hear him even if his voice wasn't hoarse. Sooner or later, probably about 5 minutes later, she stops and stays in place to catch her breath. Before her stood a black 3 story storage house. The building itself was quite large and a few vans were parked in a makeshift parking lot in front of it. Behind her, she could hear Rocket's hooves clacking as he trotted over. And right as he makes it to her side, she realizes that the building isn't as safe as it had looked before. The vans had B.L.I. symbols on the sides and the words 'Better Living' under the symbols. The building has those same images sprawled out on the side of it, and it's exactly identical to the vans. "We may be in a bit of trouble.", Midnight says as she walks closer to the storage building, hearing Rocket behind her. At first, Poison doesn't know what she means, till he sees what she saw, "We n-need to be cautious...", he says. She nods and sneaks over to the door, signalling for Poison and Rocket to keep their distance. As she opens the door, two BL workers walk out. The two stare at the girl, then at the leader on horseback. Both pull out guns but before they open fire, Poison shoots them dead with his own gun. Though he had missed a few times before killing them both. "D-D--- it, they probably h-heard us.", Poison says, surprised that Rocket hadn't got spooked. "I know. Should we leave?", Midnight asks as she looks inside, "I mean, we could, right? But here's a thought. Maybe Ghoul could be in there and we just don't know.", "Maybe w-we should explore...b-but i-it's dangerous.", "I know the dangers of going in worker filled facilities.", "I'm saying that cause there's only two of us, and I'm not really that well to be honest.". Midnight walks over and helps Poison off Rocket, just as a few more workers walk out to see what the commotion is. Poison aims his gun at them, shooting but only hitting the building. Swiftly, Rocket kicks one of them into the others, allowing Midnight to help steady Poison better. "Let's hurry before they get up! Thanks Rocket!", Midnight says as she helps Poison enter, closing the door afterwards. The inside is lit with white light, the large room being pure white with a marble colored floor. Chairs were lined in 4 rows in front of a small stage and pedestal. Everything was bare, making it fairly easy to find that there were two hallways opposite of each other in the room. "Which one do we take?", Midnight asks, the door behind them is banged on. Poison glances back and then at the left hallway, "The o-one o-on the left. I-It seems the door l-locks once your o-outside, so we h-have some time, I think. But I'm s-sure t-they have a key or s-something to get in.". Quick as a roadrunner, Midnight runs to the left hallway and looks down it cautiously, Poison tailing behind looking like a tired out farmhand. The hallway was clear of anyone, but like the room it was bare and had a few doors lining it. Midnight quickly pulls Poison around the corner right before the room door opens. She rushes him down the hallway and surprisingly they aren't followed. After a few minutes of walking, they reach the end of the hallway to a black door. "T-That's probably locked...", Poison says weakly, barely able to stand up that well. But being determined, Midnight walks up to the door, "You never know unless you try, as Silver always says.". She tries the door and it snaps inside before opening with ease. This brings a bit of uneasiness to Poison, "Something i-isn't r-right...I think maybe t-they were expecting someone t-to come here.", "You think they knew we'd be here?", "It's a-a possibility. I-I wouldn't doubt it.", "Well...should we go back?". Midnight stands there idly, waiting for an answer. Poison looks back, "Probably, b-but I-I don't think that we'd s-stand a chance of f-fighting those a--holes d-down t-there.". The leaders light green eyes examine the dimmed hallway before them, holding his gun up before walking through the doorway. Midnight follows shortly after, watching as Poison wobbled slightly off balance a few times every once in a while. No doors lined this hallway, but there were posters with the B.L.I. symbol and a few that were trying to be inspiring by saying, 'Better Living for all', 'Equality', 'Smile, the world is a wonderful place.'. It all annoyed Poison, cause B.L.I. just wanted to blind people from the real picture. "C-Control freaks...", Poison mumbles as he passes a vending machine, which supplied white ray guns, B.L.I. masks, 'happy' pills, and even mini books called 'Guide to being a perfect worker'. He smiles a bit remembering that once Kobra had stolen one of those guides off a worker he killed. "It was the most stupidest f---ing thing I've ever read. Though, I laughed when I saw like 20 steps to take just one d--- pill, dude.", was what Kobra told him after reading it. Yet for informational purposes, Poison had asked if all the killjoys would read it so they would have better knowledge on fighting workers. He himself had read it, and found it quite hilarious how workers were strictly allowed to only have one name, which is usually given to them by BL\industries. No last name or middle name, unless they find their first isn't fitting and they use one of their other names instead. The hallway darkens a bit as they pass up the vending machine, Midnight staying close behind Poison while he kind of scouts the area around them. Further down, there's 5 doors and a split off hallway. "Is it safe to go down there?", Midnight asks quietly, looking out from behind Poison. Poison, on the other hand, swayed before looking around some more, "We've gone this far, we can't go back.", he replies, walking forward towards the hallway. A small creak escapes from the hallway and Poison turns his head towards the noise sharply, pointing his gun down the hall shakily as he tried to focus his mind. "Stay back, M-Midnight. W-We may have s-some trouble up ahead.". She nods and stays where she is, watching Poison turn right down the hallway. One of the doors that pops in the hall has a little blood trail near it, the door being slightly open. Poison pushes it open with his foot and points the gun in front of himself before entering the darkened room. Upon entering, his head fills with an unbearable pain, causing him to drop his gun and falls on the floor. The lights in the room flick on and in a desk sits a robot pony, he knew her as Pinkis e.x.e, "What a shame, a leader so strong lying helpless on the floor.", she smirks as she says it, her robotic female voice booming and glitching a bit. Glitching pierces Person's ears, making his head hurt worse as he attempts to get up. He reaches for his gun which is a few feet away from him, seeing Midnight near the doorway. Pinkis kicks the gun away but mistakenly right over to Midnight. "There's two of you fools?", Pinkis asks as he voice glitches more, seeming to be getting a little angry. Midnight picks up the gun and points it at Pinkis, "What did you do to him?". In response, Pinkis laughs, "He did it to himself by walking in. You see, I have a camera set up near the door. And anyone who walks in, that's human, earns themselves a virtual bullet in the head. Unless you want to be like him, I'd suggest you run away like the little girl you are.". With that said, all she did was shoot Pinkis. But Pinkis never falls, since she is a robot. "Idiot! You can't kill a robot like that.", Pinkis says after laughing. Midnight looks at Poison, seeing he's trying to get up despite the pain. A quiet growling behind Midnight forces her to look back. She's grabbed up suddenly by Dark Dream, who takes the time to also grab Poison. In the process, Midnight drops the gun as she struggles. While she struggles, Poison doesn't move much at all, slowly slipping into unconsciousness. "Poison! You can't black out on me! Please stay awake!", she shouts. But of course even if he can hear her voice shouting for him to stay awake, Poison blacks out. Midnight was just ready to give up when she suddenly hears a loud clacking of hooves down one of the hallways. "Rocket?!", she asks out loud, seeing the stallion galloping down the hallway with Silver on his back. A shower of bullets fly at Dark and he drops both the killjoys he has in his clutches, running away from the situation. For a second it was unbelievable to Midnight, she only believes everything when she looks up to see Kobra and 307 helping Poison up off the ground. "How did you guys find us?", Midnight asks as she stands up, dusting herself off while watching Pinkis escape out the way Dark did. Silver slides off Rocket's back and allows Kobra to hoist Poison up there, "Well, Rocket found us. I'm guessing we were about a mile behind ya, literally.", "Not just that, how did you find us here?", "Rocket lead us.", "Oh I see.". The two then hear Kobra laugh and they turn to face him, seeing him look at 307. "We're gonna find the other killjoys, raise h---, and give these b----es what the f--- they deserve after all the sh-- we got from them. But before we let h--- loose on these a--holes, you need a real name.", Kobra states with a determined smile.
